Nice to finally see a new content update
And it's a good one. The new Darksphere music is pleasantly energetic, the background animations for the new song levels look even better than the older ones, and the note maps are satisfyingly tricky on the XXXL course.
Also, I haven't quite played long enough to be sure yet, but I believe the stuck input bug has been fixed in this update. I'll update this review if I encounter it again.

Amazing!, but...
I’ve been playing this game for a few days now and it’s probably one of my favorite games now! The art is beautiful, there’s a huge variety of music, and the gameplay and bgas are really creative and unique. But there had been one thing that’s been bothering me. The pause button: there isn’t one. I don’t really get why you can’t pause the game, and the current exit button is really hard to use. It’s very unresponsive and the triple-tap is a great idea, but it rarely works. Other than that, the touch is a bit unresponsive (even when turning off 3D touch like one of the tips says) and the results screen is silent which is a bit unsettling. But aside from those three minor pet peeves, this game is beautiful and deserves so much more recognition for how amazing it is!

This game is amazing! It makes me sad to see that people are giving it bad reviews because it deserves better. It is easy and fun, and the songs are great, and on Apple Music. I really like ‘WRLDS’ and ‘Afterdark’ and ‘Tiferet’ is really good. There is a paid mode, but it really doesn’t bother me because I can do what I need without ads or stopping to pay. Just get it. Please!

Real gem in the rough. Tone sphere is a unique and interesting take on the standard rhythm game. With good songs, novel gameplay, and cool design, this game is definitely worth trying.

Overlapping ‘Targets’ Bring Scores ↓
I’ve owned this for a long time and I’m glad to see it back, but the overlapping tap targets are irritating.
When compared to a lot of the music games I see on the App Store, this still probably beats them senseless.
The music is anything and everything ... all with an unmistakable Asian flare. That doesn’t mean it’s better or worse, it’s just different. Speaking of music, there is a lot of it!
There are so many levels and challenges I can’t see how you can go wrong with this one ... Well, unless your tap targets overlap one another. :-)

Fun game but never works.
I have only played the game one time, and that’s because 99% of the time I open the app and it just freezes my iPad even though I can hear the music and stuff. I have the newest iPad and it’s fully updated. Everything else in my iPad works except for this game. Why is that?

I was thinking of getting this when I first saw it on the Collab with Arcaea. Now that I’ve played it it’s so good.

Fun once you get used to it!
I'm used to music rhythm games like Groove Coaster, which is still one of my favorite games in terms of design and replay value. I bought this this expecting the same thing, and was surprised by how different it worked.
The mechanics take some getting used to. This is like Twister for your hand, as it really takes full advantage of the iPad's multitouch function, requiring you to use up to three or four fingers at a time. I found myself bending and twisting my fingers in ways I never thought possible. Not always the most comfortable way to play, but after the first two or three rounds, I found myself addicted, and I was impressed by how well executed some of it turned out to be.
The song choices are also really great, mostly in the J-Pop category, and serve as a pleasant alternative to the almost purely techno selections in Groove Coaster. I've yet to play through every song, but that alone is reason enough for me to go back.
My biggest complaint would probably be the beats themselves. There really isn't much variety, it's almost always the same drum beat every time you press a button, and that can get boring after a while, although it doesn't totally ruin the experience for me.
Overall, it's still once of the most beautifully well designed music games I've played. Aside from from a little bit of a learning curve, the game is still addicting, and I can see myself going back to replay it for some time.
