Learn and earn!!!
As a new investor, there are soo many apps and platforms to choose from… and for me, Tornado feels like a great choice! There is a big emphasis on learning (and getting paid for completing lessons) and interacting with the community of experts. I like the transparency and guidance, and for $4.99/month it’s really worth it. Better than getting lost in gamified trading and the illusion of quickly making huge gains — that works for some people but I’m in it for the long run. 🤑

This app is a scam
I downloaded this app after being influenced to sign up for it for a reward from a different app.
After opening an account I received $50 of trades. I honestly don’t even remember the promotion that awarded me that but that’s not the point. The point is that over the course of a month or so I began to realize that this app is designed to take your money with the illusion of being able to one day withdraw the profits. However the app stated that I had to leave any funds in it for a year before they could be withdrawn. Inexplicably one day I noticed all of the stocks I had bought with the $50 had been sold. However there was no money in my “cash” it was just gone. Every month there is a five dollar fee for the app, which has slowly eaten up the remainder of anything I had in it. I now have five dollars left that I can’t withdraw. I questioned many times whether the app was actually even trading stocks or not or whether it was just a simulation of a brokerage app. I would steer clear of this one. Customer service did nothing to help my issue of missing funds. In fact I actually only was locked out of my account for several weeks when I reported it. I just signed back in today to discover that there’s only $5 left of what I had in it.

Don’t waste your time and/or money here!
Basically unless u have a nice sum of money laying around… like the same kinda money that u could just go b a day trader with then this is a waste of your money… they only give u a bonus on the initial deposit if it is over a certain amount… so don’t open an account until that happens.. the “learn and earn” is basically free membership (cause there is a $5 a month membership fee that I didn’t see at first). The membership (keep in mind costs $5 a month which is t bad but robinhood is free) gives u 25 “free” trades a month. Which is just laughable since the only thing the membership does is gives me those “free” trades. Also with the learn and earn h have to have those funds sitting in the account for 1 year and if u do deposit money the membership comes out of your depositors money not the learn and earn making it so u can’t pull out the money u put in… and if all this is said somewhere it is buried in the fine lines while they use lots of word play (almost like they are intentionally trying to mislead) I just can’t trust a company that does that kinda shifty shady stuff with all their double speak… I would trust a hot girl that suddenly found me attractive right after I won the lottery more then invesr I mean tornado… cause rebranding like that also isn’t a red flag…

I’m not sure there is anything good I can say about this company. App is confusing, everything about it is confusing. After linking your bank, no choice to unlink it.
So I had my account set up, didn’t do anything with it, and got charged 3.99 a month every month since then. But they took it out of the “promotional” credit they falsely give you.
After about 12 months, they randomly pulled $400 out of my bank account, and when I contacted them “it’ll be 14 days before those funds can be sent back to your account”. No notice of them pulling or anything.
14 days later, only $341 was available to pull back out, and the other $59 disappeared. When asked, “all funds are available”
I requested to close my account, no response. I requested again, “please close any open trades”. I’ve never traded on this app.
Flash another year, I just got charged $10 for my monthly account fee, and they took they directly from my back account. Again, no notice. When I contacted them, this morning “every account is automatically charged $10 for trading”
Then why was it $4 before?

Won’t let me Withdraw!
Before you start to get ahead of yourself, NO IM NOT TALKING ABOUT THE BONUS MONEY I GOT FROM THEM. I am talking about the money I have in the account, that amount that is left after the bonus. I tried tornado for a while but paying $5 for an app that has minimal features and a horrible interface just doesn’t make sense when there’s apps out there like Webull, Public, Fidelity, etc. The app is horrible, the prices are always lagging, they will fill your market orders way off from what the price says and then once your ready to deposit the app won’t allow it. The one thing this app has going for it, is customer service. They are usually fast at responding but it’s been 2 days and I still cannot withdraw. Getting frustrated, thankfully it’s not a bunch of money. Now I know I can never trust this app enough to deposit a ton of money into it.

Worst app ever
This is literally the worst stocking trade app that I’ve ever been on I’ll even put money on here and somehow the $20 that I put on here all of a sudden it magically went to $5.01 and put more money on here and can’t even buy any stock what is the point of this app if I can’t even buy anything I really just want my money back you haven’t even done anything for me except take my money for nothing I didn’t trade anything I wasn’t able to buy anything I put $20 on there he said he would take a day or two for the money to be on there and then I got a notification saying that the money was on there and literally 30 minutes later I got another notification saying that my balance was $5.01 after I had just put $20 on there what kind of stuff is that

Legitimate Company/Mediocre app
This app is thin on tools and the subscription price occasionally gets hiked up at random but the customer service is exceptional and the UI is very well made - easy to navigate. ANS THIS IS CERTAINLY NOT a scam. NVSTR/Tornado is a legitimate trading app and the company conducts business honestly. The year long hold on promotional funds is so people don't cash out without trying the app. Nearly every other investing app has a similar stipulation for promotional bonuses. There are a LOT of scammy companies with apps but this is a company you can trust. Of course, if you make shotty investment choices and blow your money, that's not the fault of the app.

Crappy not free where 99% are free
Crappy service cost five bucks a month for a limited amount of trades almost everywhere else is free and they have very limited amount of tools to trade just some blogger post what she can get anywhere for free so there’s upside in joining no options no real charts and if you cancel have to pay 5$ per trade terrible company etrade free Td Ameritrade free Charles Schwab free Fidelity free there’s a number of companies you can get much better service for free they promise you like free joining money at the beginning but she have to keep the money in for so much time meanwhile they’re charging you five dollars a month so they’re making it all back not worth it don’t waste your money or your time with this company

Best investing app so far
Aside from the learn and earn app this one is the best. I also use coinbase and plynk and have used stash and acorns in the past. This one beats literally every app I can think of, aside from learn and earn, they’re tied. I can’t recommend this app enough though. It’s legitimately perfect with teaching, helping you to earn money, and get connected with others. It feels like there’s an actual community so you’re less alone.

Tornado, Investing done right!
A great company that understands the consumer and goes the extra mile with excellent customer support. This is what will make them a great company. The learn and earn feature is great for first time investors like me. I like the app layout and how it is simplified, intuitive, and very easy to use. I look forward to seeing what they have in store for their future as well as my own (financially speaking, lol) Thanks Tornado Team!
