Many of our users import routes from Apps like Trail Forks and use Trail Boss to follow the route because of our superior navigation features. Now its even better:

New off course alerts & distance remaining on the blue guidance line. An audible warning is sounded if you deviate from this line.

Create a blue guidance line from any trip in your Trip Log including imported routes: Select the trip onto the map and place the ⊹ on it. Tap the info button and select 'Navigate Along Track'.

Create a blue guidance line from your current location to anywhere on the map: Place the ⊹ over your destination then tap the (⊹) button. Select 'Navigate To Here'.

Go to 'Settings' - 'Sounds' to enable / disable this alert and set the off course sensitivity.

One more thing: you can now change the size of the magenta position arrow. Tap the arrow to see your options.

Horseback Rider and Gaia user
This app is really amazing and is becoming more important to me as I learn to use it which is super easy and the tech support is immediate and excellent in responding and showing how to do things. 1. My favorite thing this app does is take a photo file of a map and lay it over the main map and by two simple alignments, makes it instantly a navigable map with Gps coordinates which I can use! Also, I can export it to Gaia or Avenza or Maprika. Wow! 2. My second favorite thing is I can make a group in the app with others who download TrailBoss and we can see each other! This worked great in finding a lost phone!
I don’t know why this app isn’t in major use by more GPS app users. Highly Recommend! I now use the paid version and it’s cheap for all that can be done with this app.
Don1276,
Excellent App!
I’ve had this app for 2 weeks. I’ve been playing around with it and I love it. There are so many features. I especially love the measurements part where you can get directions from your location and either by hiking or a car. Or set up to pick a point on the map and start there and find a route to another destination. I got great help from the developer about how to pause a hike when you are taking a break. Great support. I’ve only had this app for a short time. I watched the videos from the developers which helps a lot. I also have played around with the different settings to get more comfortable with it. So I highly recommend it.
Rusch Motorsports,
Revamping my review...
I had not exhausted all the available resources for the background running issue I had. Hoping to get past that, if so, 5 stars. 😎👍

(Edit) even after my review, Trail Boss developer reached out, my issue was solely on me, Trail Boss is an excellent scouting/exploring app, and with developer/customer service that actually exists... don’t hesitate to down load and use this app for your exploring. 😎👍
TH3 WIZEONE,
Shows Wayne national atv trails
Was surprised. Works pretty good. Verizon does not work in New Straitsville but without service worked decent through gps will give you your location on trail slow at times but works. I paid for subscription it allows the weather overlay it’s okay. It is well worth what I paid for subscription. My only problem is with the subscription it will say I’m not paid or subscriber I hit restore subscription in settings when I have service. That effects the weather overlay and I believe the map download portion of app . So I’m asking the developers to look into this would be 5 stars but I’m not so sure this app is not going to start charging me randomly. So we’ll see. But overall I like it very simple to help with navigation.
@InfiniteFrost on Twitter,
Great app!
Tried it out for the first time today to record my ATV ride and I was skeptical about how well it would be able to map my ride/if it would work with my phone asleep and inside a water tight container but it worked awesome! If I had the extra money I’d pay for a subscription to support this awesome app even more.
LeeandV,
Great GPS map
This is an amazing app. This is an app that I have been looking for for a long time. This app seems to do everything and they are very helpful if you are needing answers to something you are unsure of. They have guided me on using the app to get the most out of it to start adventures. Very anxious to put it to work
wobeck,
Snowmobile
For my snowmobile trips it works awesome to overlay them on google earth to get a better perspective of where I’ve been. I also use it fir hunting. I love it. Customer support has been excellent.
f69tele,
No Subscription
Been using this app for about a year to track my rides using the free version. Wanted to make sure it did everything I needed before subscribing. It does. Now that I want to subscribe, I am unable to do so. I also am unable to get a confirmation email to confirm my login on the FAQ site.
BUIBIUB,
No longer Allows Share or Export Free
The app is good at recording trips. The old version of the app allowed users to email GPS tracks to themselves or others.

The old .tcx exports were what made this app useful. This feature now requires a subscription in the new app version. Recording past trips is not very useful when they are stuck on your phone.
AlexTrees101,
Really good app to use for recording trails
This is pretty good to use for recording trails but be careful when making your own route it’s not really acurate and can mess you up and get lost but good for recording trails.
