TrailPilot is the only mobile app offering on-trail audio tips while you explore on your mountain bike. Keep your eyes on the trail while listening to GPS-triggered audio from your Ride Guide offering guidance about the intersection, feature or hazard that is just ahead. You'll ride at your own pace with more confidence, fun and safety with TrailPilot.
Unlike those countless Youtube videos you watch of other people riding the trails, this experience is in real time while you ride! Use a Bluetooth earbud to get advice on your bike about what to look for around the next bend—just as you approach the bend. Is there a jump line coming up? Our Guides will explain how to hit it (or how to miss it if that's your style).
Our Ride Guides discreetly coach you to and through the best parts of the trail by combining the magic of GPS and your bluetooth earbuds with the knowledge of local expert MTB riders.
FEATURES:
• Tours can be downloaded and played offline. While each tour is only about 20-40mb of content, once they are downloaded they can be played without no cell service. Only GPS (and Location Services enabled) is required.
• Get directions to the trail head. Each tour starts at a legal parking area and the app will link you to turn-by-turn navigation (in your car or by bike) to the trail head.
• Most tours are free thanks to partnerships with tourism organizations and bike-friendly brands.
• Preview each tour before deciding if you want ride it. Listen to your guide, look at the route on a map, check the trail segments included, and make sure it is within your abilities.
• View photos of each trail feature. Once you have downloaded the tour you can preview the entire tour before you ride. Check out photos of each turn, feature or hazard before you clip in, or while you ride if you bar-mount your device.
• Listen to music, take calls, record your ride with other GPS tracker apps and do all the things you normally do with your phone while you ride. TrailPilot plays nicely!
If you have limited time to ride and want to make the most of it, this app is for you. Maps only tell you part of the story. Our Guides piece together rides from extensive local experience then tow you through like you are riding with them. They've picked only the best routes, ride them the best direction and do them without having to fish for a map.

In this version of the app tour difficulty ratings are now shown in the Map View, we only play the off-route alert if you have been on the route previously, and we made some other user experience improvements.

• changing our recommendation from "earbuds" to "one earbud" for the best on-trail experience

If you are on the phone when audio guidance is needed we will wait for your call to end rather than interrupting. Be aware that this means you might not hear an alert before you encounter a feature on the trail.

v1.1 provides a new Tour-in-progress (en route) map interface, adds a Tour Preview mode, makes trying free tours easier, improves map auto-scrolling behavior, offers directions to the trail head if you try to start a tour before you get there, and offers other minor enhancements. Pretty epic!
This app is epic!
I live in Fayetteville and have ridden the trails down here for the past decade. I’d gotten used to the trails down here and hadn’t ventured out much. This app made it a piece of cake to get up to Bentonville and try out some new trails I wasn’t familiar with. The guidance worked perfectly and kept me from making wrong turns (and even picked up exactly where I was when I started mid trail and not at the trailhead). Music worked perfectly while riding too and the occasional directions would pop up on the audio to keep me on track. This thing is pretty revolutionary! Excited to see all the different ways the tech can be applied too!

Absolute Game Changer!
This app is legit an absolute gem! I love riding new trails and I also HATE having to stop at a trail crossing to pull my gloves off, pull my phone out, open a map app, figure out where I am, and figure out where I’m going … THEN reversing the whole process and finally start pedaling again. I do all that and just HOPE that I’ve made the right decision … that whole stop/start/flow killer happens over and over! NOT with Trail Pilot … literally just download the tour/route, pop your earbud in and start pedaling! Phone stays in your pocket and bike stays on the trail! It’s truly magic!!!

Must have app if first time on trail!
Used this app last weekend as a guide to the Back 40 Wet Weather Route (approx 7 miles). First time on the loop for me & 2 others in my group. It was extremely helpful and a confidence booster to minimize any upcoming surprises on the route . The map directions to the parking area and the history fun facts along the way were an added bonus. GPS function worked flawlessly (notified me in advance regardless of my speed) and the tour audio struck the right balance of useful information without being distracting. Purchased two more tours when I got home!

Trail Tours on down under trail
I rode the Down Under trail for the first time today and relied on trail tours to tell me about the route. I found it very helpful to hear about the upcoming rock gardens and berms up ahead. The tour was very easy to listen to and kicked on at the right time. Great product, will use again.
