TrailView is being designed with the off road enthusiast in mind. Weather you ride an ATV, UTV, dirt bike or a 4x4 TrailView is for you. Using GPS technology already embedded in your smartphone or tablet TrailView will record your "tracks" and allow you to follow them back to where you came from. No more getting lost! The app will also allow the user to mark and label waypoints such as camp, parking or just fun spots to wheel.
TrailView will also offer detailed individual maps of different trail systems, riding parks, state and national forest trails or just fun spots to off road as in-app purchases. Maps will be color coded to show difficulty and waypoints such as camp, parking, trailheads, hillclimbs, mud bogs, scenic views, gathering points etc etc will be clearly marked!
Each map will work with NO INTERNET CONNECTION once purchased and downloaded. We all know the best trails are in the backwoods away from cell towers!

Will it be fixed anytime soon?
CONS-If you turn from landscape to portrait, it’s u readable, plus it won’t go back to normal even if put back into portrait unless you restart the app completely. Interface is way behind the times
Some simple updates to the interface and loading options would be worth looking into, and if even pay for the app if the issues were fixed and the portrait/landscape frustrations went away (yes I know I can lock portrait/landscape in settings, but that only fixes part of the problem).
The pros outweigh the cons, but fixing the cons will really make this worth a fee!!!
PROS- Works in OH, PA, and (WV) main Hatfield McCoy trails that mirror the paper ones given at HMT. The big plus for the HMT though, is that you can zoom in and see where you’re going, it tracks you without a WiFi/cellular connection (if GPS is enabled) and that in itself is work the $$!

Amazing app!
I don’t usually write reviews but this app was really nice to have when I rode blue holler. I had problems with it in the beginning because every time my phone would tilt it would screw with the map view but once I turned my iPhones screen lock on so it wouldn’t do the tilt view it worked flawlessly. It really helped us get where we wanted to go while we were riding, plus the maps are cheap compared to spending money on a paper map that gets wet and rips easy. I mostly ride at windrock/royal blue and it’s easy to get lost up there so this app would be really helpful at large parks like those, I really hope they come out with maps for those two parks soon.

Great value.
Used trail view for the first time at mine made this weekend. Worked perfectly it tracks very well and the map is very accurate. Only two criticisms I would have is a button to report blocked trails within the app would be cool and on my iPhone XR if it flipped between landscape and portrait the map wouldn’t re scale and would get all smushed. No it’s not as comprehensive as lifetime trail maps. But your not going to be driving In Someone’s back yard and trespassing either using this. For the $10 a map it’s a solid deal to keep from getting lost in my opinion.

Could be great
I really want to love this app. The locations of food, fuel, etc are a great idea. When the Rockhouse map is on my screen with my iPhone held in the normal upright position it’s clear and what you want to see. My iPhone is docked sideways on my mount though and that turns the map into a distorted mess which isn’t something you want on the trail or for $6.99. Fix that and I think you’d have a great app. I ride HMT, Rush, Wayne National Forest, Arapeen Trail-Utah, Moab-Utah, Michigan and this list continues to grow. Be nice to see this app grow along with the places that we all like to ride outside of HMT and Rush.

the best trail app ever
this app works amazing, and it shows me exactly where i am. it works soo well and i love it so much it’s amazing 10/10 recommend. i think that the design is good for people who aren’t that good with technology, it’s really easy to use and perfect for all ages. it works everywhere and anywhere, i never got lost and always knew where i was going. #NeverGetLostOnTheTrails

TrailView App Overview
I’ve been using TrailView for a little over a year now and it is absolutely amazing. It seems like it is always being updated every time I go to a new location I see new items on the Maps! Worth every penny, used to get lost trying to navigate paper maps. you will never not find me in the woods without TrailView!

New Update
While this is a good app for Hatfield McCoy, it’s kind of disappointing that they came out with an update that includes linking trails together, but you have to purchase it separately. After spring the money on 3 of the 5 trails, I feel there should be a way to either link those trails, or offer some sort of discount for the linked trail map. If this changes in the future I will change my rating, as the maps do work good with or without cell service.

A must have
I have it on my phones and tablets. It makes it easy to plan rides. If the group splits up we can easily navigate to a meeting point. Most importantly if your bike breaks down you know where you are. A must have in my opinion.

Definite game changer of an app. I tried to use the paper map for a local trail and quickly got turned around. Took us 30 minutes to get back out to service and we immediately downloaded Trailview.

Does not work on my iPhone 11 in landscape mode.
Super frustrating to spend $10 and it’s basically useless. Bought it for Rush off road. Several of the trails that are marked with signs don’t show up on the app. Several are the wrong color/ difficulty rating. Tracks won’t show you the trail your on only the track you’ve made. The landscape ire is distorted and then stays looking like that even when turned back to portrait. I want a refund.
