A Top Player’s Quick Review
As someone who played this game for almost 2 years since it dropped on Apple Arcade and recently transitioned to the App Store, I can wholeheartedly say that this is a 10/10 game. Its issues are few and greatly outshined by its positives. The gameplay rarely gets boring and repetitive only once you get closer to the top (above 3000 VP). The art style, designs of the characters and Arenas, and the soundtrack are all amazing and are pleasant to indulge in outside of the core gameplay. The players also have friendly communities on both Reddit and Discord where they join together to discuss the game, and the devs at Red Games Co. seem to be listening and making any changes to the game that players request, so don’t forget to join those. However, being a relatively new game, there is an obvious lack of content, especially when compared to Clash Royale, with there being 71 cards in the game, and the grind to unlock and max out all of them can take years to complete if you play for free, but with enough patience you will unlock everything and the game has to offer. Also, this game is a way healthier alternative to Clash Royale, with only a few bad apples sprinkled here and there, mostly closer to the top of the leaderboard. So, in conclusion, if you’re a fan of Transformers and enjoy Clash Royale’s gameplay without all the toxic and negative stuff, this is the game for you.

So after playing for a week, I managed to reach the top 17% (already made it to the Earth City) The gameplay is simple enough for an average player to understand. This is obviously a cross between clash royale and transformers, the only things I would do to make it better would be to add different versions of the characters. For example, a flying ALT version for Megatron (of course it would have to be more than 7 though) would add some dynamics. A version of Optimus Prime with his flying gear would add some dynamic. Pretty much, at this point, you don’t necessarily have to add new cards, but just remixing what you currently have would be able to more than double the amount of options a player has in team selections (I would make it that you are only allowed one version per deck of a single card to prevent people from having 3 different megatrons for balance purposes) I would also add different game modes to show the dynamic of the Transformers world where a player has to fight through an arena that makes it more strategic on both ends (like, if the planet would randomly burst out lava for a specific game mode that affects both sides of the arena) Overall, the game is well done. My biggest addition would be to make variants of the characters you already have, I know for sure that would increase the strategy of this game.

Good alternative for the genre, needs work
It’s another clash royale clone but with robots in disguise. It’s not necessarily pay to win- but it’s absolutely pay to progress. This alone will turn away large amounts of the player base. Can only have 3 boxes at once and only one of each kind at a time. You acquire money VERY slowly, even in the epic chests. Income can be made in ways that won’t push players away, i.e. skins, emotes, etc. The current setup is almost as bad as needing “energy” to play. For example, I’m ranked in top few k of players and am stuck (once you hit league). I’m constantly pit against players with units 3-4lvs above mine, which can barely damage. So I can’t earn more boxes. There’s no alternative modes, no guilds, no replays, no tournaments, etc. So there’s no way to progress or earn it unless you buy it. The units are cool with great diversity, the artwork is nice, but the game play is really fluid. Huge plus for me. The ALT ability for the units is a unique idea that allows a lot of flexibility in decks. I enjoy it, but is really lacking content. It’s a great game that needs to be fleshed out to reach it’s max potential. Good job devs, keep devving! Just remember to reward the ACTIVE players (even the f2p) or they leave and the game dies.

Design fixes
Alright, first off, this game is amazing. Whenever I have free time, I will automatically go to play this game. But some characters that I have unlocked don’t look as good as they should. For instance, Megatron’s elbows make him look like an action figure. Airazor doesn’t exactly look like how airazor is supposed to look. I would change her design to look more like the original beast wars or war for cybertron. Her design is just too blocky and masculine for it to look normal. One more thing, please add more characters and skins. If you could make megatron look like the beast wars megatron by buying a skin using ore-13, that would be awesome! Oh yeah, and please add a way to get shanix without paying. I don’t care if you have to grind the heck out of the game to get some, but please allow players to get it without using money. Anyway, thank you for this awesome game, and consider that airazor redesign. Thanks!

Cheating game
Update: You Devs need to fix how fast the bar fills. I literally watch someone use 3-4 defensive items vs one of my bots that I drop. I’ve counted they use up to six vs my 1 drop. There’s no way this is balanced. My bots to drop are 4-5 points to use. Their items are 3-4 as well. I might as well go all defensive items and use that instead of bots the whole game. This is why the game cheats in favor of others because the bars do not fill equally. Not to mention everything I use is lvl 9 and they still lose fast to whatever the opponent uses. Definitely the balance is off. Test your own game and see.
The game was fun and I’ve been playing forever. However, there is a serious problem when you watch your opponent drop numerous high lvl cards at one time. There is no way you can beat multiple cards of the same thing that are high level attacking all at once. Especially when you meter doesn’t charge as fast. I wish they would let us screen record and post it here for everyone to see. Until the balance is fixed, you will take many losses for no reason. I’m a lvl 9 maxed on everything and a lvl 7 will beat me. And yes I do know how to play. The game essentially forces you to lose this way. Wish they actually let the players decide the win.

I still play this every day
I downloaded it on Thanksgiving day 2022, while it was still on Apple Arcade and I played it every day since then, with almost no exceptions. Gameplay is well balanced, the catchphrases and sound effects are absolutely top-notch, and every battle seems, somehow, very epic. there are many ways to play and win so it’s fun to try different squats. My only feature request is ability to save and/or share a video replay of certain recent battles, or at least see a track record, or more stats. For example, it would be cool if you go into a battle and it tells you you’ve played this opponent four times before and you won two of them… Or you have a 78% winning percentage with this particular squad… I think stats are cool.

Was my favorite game..
Unfortunately it is now a pretty miserable game to play. Everyone has all level 9s thanks to the purchasable filler thing and just find the dirtiest ways to win. Sometimes I get a good match. It has become clash royale.. and not in a good way. Just about as fun as smacking your head against a wall :( I suppose it was inevitable with this type of game… it is fun until you hit max level which is now a purchasable thing… pretty sure others feel the same because it takes much longer now to get matches vs humans. I end up just playing vs AI. I really loved the game on Apple Arcade. I know the developer probably was not making enough money which is sad because it is a great game. It was better when you had to earn level 9 though. I think it would be good to add other game types. 2v2 or 2v a boss or something like that. Engage with two or more players but not always vs each other. This would also allow playing with lower level players.

Love how they stuck to the original looks and personalities. But…….. everything else pretty is pretty mediocre at best. There’s no story mode or anything like that to help you get xp (very limiting), new cards are hard to get, and AI matches just waste time.
The battle system involves waiting for your energon bar to charge, and then playing cards to the arena(then the bar drops back down). Different cards do different things and the main goal is to use those different abilities to gain the advantage and destroy your enemy’s turrets. Matches are timed, and when time runs out, whoever destroyed the most turrets wins. Simple? WRONG
While this battle system is very unique, the second that your opponent gets more than one powerhouse past the midway point, you’ve got only a small chance of winning(especially if you’re still charging your energon bar).
The lag problem that comes up every once in a while STINKS LIKE A MONTH OLD CARCASS.

I put so many hours into this I loved everything from the intro to the animations. Gameplay was addictive and progression was a fun grind. This new crate system and the way the game notifies you that you’ll be playing for no rewards if you choose to play while a crate is taking HOURS to open is a joke. (15 hours for a mega crate!!!) Sorry but i don’t know who thought this was a great idea. Why take away a system your regulars were used too for so long. If you’re gonna make changes to monetize fine but do it in a graceful manner not this.

Red Games Co Told Me Their Matchmaking Was Made To Not Work??!!
I emailed them about matchmaking because I was facing people in the league above me. They told me it searches for TEN SECONDS for people the same level as you and then will search for people two or more levels higher then you are, even sometimes bots they added which can be max level both with their transformers and their buildings turrets level. THEY EMAILED ME TELLING ME THIS AND TOLD ME IT WOULD EVEN OUT AS MORE PEOPLE JOINED!!! Firstly, that’s a lie and only a 10-15 year old can’t do the math on how poor the matchmaking is- I’m sure you reading are laughing right now as is hahahaha. Secondly, no one will join fighting people at max level when I’m level 5. I hope as many people as possible read this before buying! Those FIVE STAR reviews are beginners who haven’t played enough. It was great at first for me too but got bad in LESS THEN A WEEK which means you’re better off finding a better, permanent Transformers game, not this one.
