rcbjr88,
Great to read the paper from anywhere
I travel a lot and enjoy reading what is happening at home. I liked the old app better that allowed me to sent articles to people. Being local i watch the obituaries for my family that is out of town and send info....little harder now. Or keep others who have moved away up to date on happenings. Still a good app.
"Sarge" Bristol,
I Love The Record-Eagle
I loved working at the Record-Eagle. Wonderful people I worked with over the years too. Even tho I started with the Batdorf’s and they sold the paper it remained solid, probably because of the quality staff. From the Press Room to the Publisher always good people. I wonder if the public realizes it is not just a newspaper, it is the people who comprise it. I still love you all even tho I don’t know most of you now. I cannot imagine my home without a newspaper in it.
LUV TC,
I count on this paper every day
My digital subscription helps me stay connected and see issues around Northern Michigan more clearly and objectively. I like the in depth reporting and stories about social and cultural dynamics original, worth my subscription. And the obits, community calendar and Outside section on Thursdays always keep me grounded in what living up north is all about.

Record Eagle on my phone is convenient and right there every morning to review local issues
I’ve been very happy with the RE on my phone— the format is similar to reading a paper edition and I get my local news with my cup of cofee every morning
Kellionto,
Very pleased
I’ve gotten used to reading the paper on line. My husband still prefers holding a newspaper in his hands, but I can see the print better because it’s lit up well and I can increase the size. Takes some getting used to but I like it!
msurapid,
Great bible app for quick reference or extended study
I’ve had this app for many years. Just works so well. On my iPad bible study is so easy, multiple translations available, and the resource center integrates seamlessly with whatever I’m reading. I like having my bible, with highlights and notes, available in my pocket wherever I am.
CKP00,
Best NW lower Michigan News
When we relocated to NW lower Michigan, I missed having a good source for state and local news. We started subscribing to the e-version of the TCRE after following their work in various on-line links. The journalists are truly talented investigators and writers. The on-line app is very user friendly, too.
Michigan35,
Just ok
The Record-Eagle app doesn’t work as well as it used to. I like to use the split screen feature where the entire page shows up on the left side, and when you tap an article that article shows up on the right. The app no longer works about half the time. It either does nothing when I tap an article or reverts back to page 1A. It’s become so annoying that I’m using the app less often.
EmpireSailor,
Easy to Read
The elapse is easy to read, and to progress from page to page. You can print the crossword from your laptop, and read the paper on phone.
CaffeineAcademy,
Keeping up to date
During these turbulent times of Covid and Politics, it is important to not only know what is going in the world, but also locally. While I may not always agree with printed articles, I do appreciate the opportunity to read them.
