The Teaching Resource Centre (TRC) Pharmacology is meant for medical students, but also very useful for any health care professional.
The TRC provides basic pharmacological knowledge: pharmacodynamics, pharmacokinetics, and drug mechanisms in context of (patho)physiology.
Each topic includes graphic(s) in the TRC icon language, explanatory texts and questions with feedback. The TRC covers most relevant drugs prescribed in Europe. Each drug topic has references to the Dutch national formulary (Farmacotherapeutisch Kompas) or the British National Formulary.
The TRC can be used as a reference or as self-study tool during courses throughout the medical curriculum. The TRC helps students to obtain pharmacological knowledge providing a consistent, user friendly, recognizable, and structured presentation in order to optimize learning efficiency.
We strive to make this application the best resource for mechanisms of drug action in the context of physiology and pathophysiology by creating each topic in cooperation with an expert from the field. Graphics, texts, questions, and other reference data are provided to enhance the understanding of the user.
The App is kept up to date with the newest drugs and thus updated regularly.

Great resource but needs developer attention
This is one of the single most useful resources I've used as a medical student. Great design, well written content, excellent illustrations, simple and intuitive navigation.
This has been a 5+ star app for a few years, but the app does not function on the iPad with iOS 8. I haven't had any problems with it on my iPhone, but I prefer the bigger screen both for reading and the illustrations. Additionally, there is content at the developer website that has never been included in the app.
Developers - Please update the app.
If possible, add in an option for connecting to a US formulary to compliment the existing UK and German formularies.

Best app I have found
I give this two big thumbs up. Easier than carrying a pharm book around and provides all the basic info needed to improve knowledge and memorization from a logical method. There are not all the side effects, but it is a good foundation. U.S. Nursing Student user

Excellent resource tool and filled with information way beyond just pharmacology. I'm talking cardiac, receptor types, binding sites, excellent diagrams, and even depolarization and depolarization charts. Well impressed

Won't open anymore
I've had this app since the summer since I was working a doctor and was using it to see certain mechanisms for drugs he was prescribing. I'd like to keep using it for my pharmacology class but the app won't open anymore/it crashes as soon as I try and load it. I've tried reinstalling it but that did not work. I don't know if any other users have had this problem, but if so, please fix! I'm currently using an iPad mini with the most updated software, too.
