TRIQ is the smart preparation for your next triathlon. Whether you're an elite athlete or a beginner, our intelligent algorithm creates your individual training plan that adapts to your performance, motivation and current fitness 24/7. TRIQ improves through machine learning over time, plans with your availability in mind and helps you balance life, work and training.

To use the app, you need a Garmin tracking watch and Connect account. This way TRIQ can directly use your performance data and instantly adjust based on it.


ALWAYS FOCUSED ON TRAINING GOALS
Choose a triathlon to train for and set a target finish time. Alternatively, your goal can of course also be to finish the chosen distance.

TRIQ evaluates your personal availability and current fitness from the beginning, identifies whether goals are realistic, and suggests alternative finish times, a longer training period, or a different triathlon if necessary.

The goals set in TRIQ are the starting point for your training plan. TRIQ dynamically adjusts your training volume based on your progression and adaptation to attain goals and train sustainably.

INDIVIDUAL TRAINING PLANS
Each athlete has different training needs, that's why each TRIQ training schedule is uniquely prescribed by our groundbreaking algorithm. TRIQ suggests the necessary training sessions for your next triathlon. This means individualized swim, bike and run volumes and intensities as well as recovery periods.

Based on your physical condition, motivation, and personal availability, training sessions are dynamically prescribed in the calendar. TRIQ is fully dynamic and also takes into account cancelled training or changed availability instantly.

Adequate recovery periods are automatically prescribed to ensure you are ready to perform each training session optimally. This takes into account autonomic balance, muscle soreness and motivation to train. Training sessions are prioritized and modified based on ideal training intensity distribution (TID) based on your training phase and target race.

With a smart overview of your week’s training sessions and their intensity levels, you can see your training for the next few days in advance and mentally prepare to swim, bike or run.


TRACK YOUR PROGRESS WITH TANGIBLE DATA
TRIQ takes into account physiological data and performance data measured by your Garmin Connect fitness tracker and TRIQ’s built-in daily heart rate monitoring via your iPhone's camera. By doing this, TRIQ learns how you're improving over time. TRIQ then suggests your next training steps, individually optimized based on your goal and personal progress.

Has potential, not there yet for the price
I used the two week trial, and the basics are there, I see the potential, but it’s just not quite there yet. I like that it sets workouts for you, and being able to pick something else when you can’t do the primary one is great.

The major downsides that there really isn’t anything that shows your progress. Nothing really in the way of training data at all. Nothing that data driven athletes are looking for to track their progress. There are no built in tests that I see, so you have to do threshold tests outside of the program, and manually enter them.

At $35 a month, or $350 a year, there isn’t enough value here to be worth it. I’d check it out in the future though I’d some of these things can be incorporated.

Dynamic Training + Recovery - Coaches Can’t Compete
I’ve been using Triq for an entire season now. I’ve seen huge gains year over year. The big reason for this has the app has been able to keep me healthy through HRV recovery monitoring. This has been the key to staying injury free. Coaches can’t adjust your plan on a daily basis based on your recovery. Triq can.

I highly recommend this app to anyone looking train for Triathlon. This app is still young and I’m super excited to see how it grows. Big cheers to Triq!

Be careful
This is a great concept… but, it doesn’t work smoothly, which can leave the plan unreliable. I need my plans to be hyper reliable with some flexibility. There are some glitches in the way the training plan updates… or doesn’t… and glitches out, sometimes wiping the whole week out. I reached out a few times to resolve these issues, and it has not been helpful. I requested a refund, which the company said I had to do through Apple… however Apple says this product is not eligible for a refund. Don’t spend any money you may want back if this app doesn’t work as expected and needed for you.

Need Garmin or else you can’t finish onboarding
I couldn’t make it past the first step of the onboarding because it was requiring me to connect to a Garmin account that I didn’t have. I couldn’t even skip the on boarding just to see what the app was like. Pretty poor, first impression.
