Pretty good, significant limit
I bought this to compare with Pro HDR X. HDR apps have a problem with halos in areas of high contrast. It's ugly. You get what look like smudges in th sky and in other areas of flat color or tone. Based on sample pictures, I thought this app might do that less than Pro HDR X. It doesn't. It also doesn't create the range of exposure that Pro HDR X makes. True HDR uses only two exposures, versus three for Pro HDR X. There's not as much information to work with, so the range is narrower. On the plus side, True HDR is good at aligning images, something Pro HDR X has trouble with. This is valuable in low light, when exposures are longer and the combination of exposures happens over a longer period of time. True HDR also has more natural color, which may or may not be what you want. Pro HDR X pumps the color, so you get those gorgeous images with blue blue skies and green green trees and grass. It's a little much. True HDR is good for getting a wider range of exposure than a single shot, it aligns multiple images well, and it uses more natural color. If you want a wider range, try Pro HDR X and--if you don't like candy-store color--adjust the saturation down.
Alexisdeadstill,
Very cool app
I got this app probably close to ten years ago now. I really enjoy it. It can be a bit of a pain for certain images as it requires a tripod for some shots. But it’s a lot of fun to play around with. Besides making hdr images, you can also mix unrelated images together for a cool effect. Very cool app!

True HDR
One of my favorite apps...
Results are not foolproof but when you understand the capabilities along with the limits you can come up with some terrific images that are otherwise not possible. There are some great creative potentials as well, that go beyond the primary function of capturing the wide range of lighting dynamics, inherent in many shooting situations, inside to outside and shadow to full light. One can use the 'manual' function to great effect layering discreet images into a single merged photo. Buy it... You'll like it!
PCordell,
Great Value and a Must have
I've used True HDR for a couple years now. It's my preferred Photo method. The results are always amazing and guaranteed to get compliments. I've found the interface to edit the photos very intuitive , easy and quick to use. I'm still dumbfounded at what a great Value this app has proved to be. 5 stars! for sure

CCIPOD,
The best app for amazing photos
iPhone SE after saving photo to iphone then I attempted to rotate the photo and iPhone photo app crashes.

Best photo app in the app store for HDR control and photo taking, though even after a reinstall it now just crashes over and over cant make a photo.

Solution - I restated my iPhone4s with a hard restart (holding power and home button until rebooted). Now works again. I imagine it is a memory issue between ios and this app.
Bag_One,
good and easy tool for years now
I use a lot of photography apps (like you probably do.) Many of them become obsolete for one reason or another, but trueHDR is still the best way to get gorgeous genuine HDR with great control over the original images as well as tweaking the end result, it's super simple even in full manual mode and always very stable.
Saul42,
Best HDR on the market
Previous version crashed with iOS 9 but this version squash is that bug. SpaceI'm so happy to have this app back it is hands-down the best HDR app out there, and I thought just about every single one of them. It's not as fast as others, but the quality of the end picture is leaps and bounds more superior
CO_Moderate,
Still My Number 1 App!
I have been using TrueHDR for a while and I am constantly amazed. The color depth of the photos can be matched using an SLR and Photoshop, but this is so much easier! I love it. I'm still hoping to see is a time-lapse module built into TrueHDR. High quality HDR videos would an add-on worth paying out more for. Thanks for the awesome job on TrueHDR!
tnphoto,
Not so great anymore
This used to be the best but other HDR apps have surpassed it. It does not use the iPhone and iPad 's burst feature to quickly take a bracket. Instead, it takes 3 pictures in about 3 seconds. It uses the first picture to estimate dynamic range, and merges the last two. Its alignment of the two images is surprisingly good, and it works fast. Final output is only 960x960.
Sled Dog 1,
Mixed results
I've used this app for some time and have been pleased with it. iOS 9 bugs are now fixed. Easier to use than other HDR apps. Good response time from developers when there was a problem too. Recommended.
