Amazing app except for the audio quality
If I’m being honest this app is actually really cool I took some time to use it recently and the quality of the filters and the VHS filters that you get to use for free are really awesome to be honest! My only problem is if you go to record a video at least in my experience whenever you finish there’s no audio in that video at all in other words once you finish recording the video you can see it but you can’t hear anything in the video at all, which is kind of annoying to be honest it’s still an amazing app either way I just wish this buck would get fixed and I’m not connected to any Bluetooth devices or anything so I don’t understand

I honestly don't feel like typing so im using the dictation feature please bare with me. I love this app. But I feel like it has so much potential and it's wasted. For starters, when you import videos, you can still hear the microphone. I'm pretty sure it's either a bug or the import feature is still in beta. Not gonna complain too much about that. Onto the customization features, it's very good but it's somehow just not enough. I don't know exactly what it is, but somethings missing. Again, won't complain so much about that one. I'm pretty sure you're tired of hearing about this one, but I just cannot stand to see the price tag of the app. I can understand if you charged maybe about five or $10 for the whole app. But a subscription? There's just no possible way that you're charging a subscription instead of having it be a paid app.. rarevision VHS cost like two dollars and although it's a good app, it lacks some features as well. I haven't heard of your app until today, so until today I thought rarevision was the only camcorder style app that looked like a real VHS. now, to me their app just looks like a filter. I know that you probably won't read my review out of the others, but please for the sake of the app, just make it a paid app. I won't mind paying two to $10 for the app, but please get rid of the subscription. Thank you and keep up the good work

I Love This App, But No Subscription Please!
I’ve been obsessed with this authenic, 90’s VHS filter/camcorder app! I had fun playing around with it and making videos that look so nostalgic! There are so many things I can do to create my videos the way I want them to be. Thank you for making my 90s nostalgia dreams cone true!
The only real problems are the subscription option and the beginning tutorial. The subscription gave me only 3 free days and I had to pay 4.99 a week or 9.99 a year which is not worth the money. I don’t want to have to spend my money on an app like this every time. I rather want this app to be paid straight up without a subscription. Even if I cancel my plan, it wouldn’t be worth it. The other problem is the beginning tutorial always appearing as the first thing I see. I keep reinstalling the app and I can’t skip that which is irritating. There was no help option in case I need help with the app.
Other than the subscription plan and beginning tutorial, I love the app overall. I hope that my review can help improve! Thank you!

kinda wacky but also awesome
As far as what I would consider to be wacky in regards to this app, it is mainly just the pricing on the full version of the app. Having it be a subscription is a joke to me. I’d be more than willing to pay upwards of 20 dollars for the full version of this app. However, I guess the tactic of giving people a free trial and banking on them forgetting to cancel it makes more sense as a money making move. I can’t imagine anyone is paying the subscription under any other circumstances, but idk. All that being said, this is by far the best vhs filter app. On top of this, the demo version is very generous as far as what it allows you to do especially compared to other apps like this.

I like the app but it needs some changes
This app makes me feel like I own a VHS cam from the 90s. I really love the look of it. I love the sound quality as well. There’s where the good ends though.
Unfortunately I’ve had more negative than positive experiences with this app.
I decided to start paying the $10 a month subscription and now I’m thinking about canceling it. $10 a month is being charged for an app that constantly lags and crashes/closes on its own whenever you try to import your own video. This has happened to me several times. It’s ridiculous. It’s annoying.
I don’t want to continue paying $10 a month for an app that feels like it’s still in the BETA stage. I don’t want to continue to support an app when the developer doesn’t reply to the people who have criticisms.
$10 a month and $4 A WEEK is ridiculous. This app is worth $5. You pay $5 and the app is yours. No monthly or weekly fee. Just a one time $5 payment.

THE APP IS AMAZING BUT ...
This app is really amazing ! I’m so glad this is an app because I’ve always love like 80’s and 90’s VHS. I’m in love with both era’s. So to know I don’t have to go out and find a big cam corder to feel like I’m in the 80’s or 90’s is amazing to me. So this app for me is a A+. I would say the only problem is ... is that after I record I don’t know where my videos go. I thought after I recorded my first video on here it would pop up in the Camera Roll like the other VHS apps but after constantly making videos, checking my Camera Roll and trying to find an import button... I’ve lost hope. So now I’ve lost all 4 videos. Other than that the app is an A+ like I said.

great effects, 1 annoying feature
genuinely great VHS effect, i enjoy it more than most other filters. while I understand the novelty of having to “record” the videos you import and having to play through the entire video before being able to download it, but it’s kind of frustrating for content creators who just want to make a quick edit. It’s eternally frustrating, especially since I have a 30 minute long performance video that I want to use the effect on, so I’ll have to sit for 30 minutes and hope me or my cat doesn’t bump my phone while I wait for it to export. pointless.

I’ve tried dozens of different retro camera apps and this is by far the best looking one.
I’m impressed with the video quality. The filters and effects don’t look tacky. A lot of other apps cannot compare, they just don’t look genuine like this one.
However, I’m not too happy with the fact that it’s subscription based. I think it would be worth it if it was a one time payment sort of thing.
Also, this app used to be able to record sound and the quality was great too. It sounded like audio recordings off of a real tape recorder and I have yet to find another app that alters audio the way this one does.
Please fix this!
One last thing I’d like to note is that sometimes, videos don’t save to my camera roll. I’ve filmed a bunch of cool shots that were gone to waste because they never saved to my phone. It has happened multiple times and has turned me away from using this app as much as I’ve wanted to.

I loved using this app!.. for the first two days that is. This has (almost) everything, date settings, view settings, you name it, they have it! The ONE thing that it doesn’t succeed with is the subscription… I REALLY don’t understand why someone would think paying 5 dollars a week would be a good payment??? Not to repeat everyone else but could you PLEASE make this app a one time payment?? Even 10 to 20 dollars would be good enough, I really do love this application for what it is! Just wish this would be simply a one time payment.

I’m writing this cause I need the devs attention
Bought this full featured and had to delete and reinstall cause I needed to free up space my phone and it had 1.6gb with of documents on it. Once I did it said I was in demo mode and despite saying my purchase was restored it still had demo mode and wants me to subscribe. First off switching from a one time payment to a subscription model is greedy, second off denying someone the right to something they purchased is just plain old shady and essentially theft. “Oh let me reinstall this software I bought,” NOPE, now you gotta pay more. App creators that do this are unethical in my opinion. I would like my purchase restored, please.
