Begin your journey to better sleep, more energized days, sharper focus and improved mood with TUO Circadian Smart Lighting.

TUO is partnered with the University of Washington, one of the world's top research centers for vision and neuroscience. Scientists there have recently discovered amacrine cells in the eye. These highly light-sensitive cells are the cells that TUO's patented, industry-leading technology affects to influence your circadian rhythm. TUO is more effective than anything else on the market and is the only circadian light therapy product that works at normal brightness levels and reasonable distance.

Put TUO bulbs in your bedroom to get exposure when first waking. Put TUO bulbs in your bathroom to get exposure during your normal morning routine. Put TUO bulbs in your kitchen, and make your family breakfast while getting exposure. Put TUO bulbs on your desk, and check email while taking in light. With TUO, you need to stay within six feet of your light during the majority of your Wake mode. After that, you don't need to worry. Artificial lighting isn't healthy. Our bodies receive signals from the lighting around us. These signals set our internal clocks and regulate when we naturally sleep and wake. When we're exposed to general home and work lighting, we don't get the signals that we need to keep our biological schedule synchronized with our daily schedule.

Circadian rhythm disorders are problems that occur when your body's internal clock is out of sync with your environment. GETTING STARTED

Launch our app and click sign up to get started. Follow the instructions on the screen to walk through initial setup and add your bulbs. You'll be asked to allow the app permissions throughout the setup process. Make sure you allow all permissions as we won't be able to setup your bulbs without them.

Add your family members so that they can benefit from TUO as well. When you add family members, our app generates a customized circadian schedule for them. You can give them app login rights or control bulbs on their behalf. You can also assign them rooms so that those rooms always run on their schedule.

Add on/off schedules to fully automate your TUO experience. On/off schedules let your bulbs automatically come on and turn off throughout the day. These can be configured for individual rooms and can be different for different days of the week. This allows your lights to automatically come on when you want them to.

Use the app to turn rooms and individual devices on and off. Change your light brightness and color temperature to match your preferences. Override your circadian modes at any time. How you use TUO is solely up to you.

Great product, app lacking customizations
I love the concept of the product, and have been using it for a couple months.

However, I do not like that the transitions between lighting modes are mostly pre-programmed, and that when I want to fine tune color temperature or illumination intensity, it seems to require me to manually adjust it every day. I would like to see an option where I can override some of the standard automation and allow for a user-set programmed gradual decrease in color temperature or luminosity (for example I would like my “calm” period to start at 2700K and gradually decrease to the minimum 2300K for the 30min before I go to bed with a commensurate decrease in percentage of maximum illumination from ~80% => 10-20%). In the mornings I would like the reverse of this pattern to be possible with gradual increase in color temperature and intensity)

If this were to be added I would give the TUO experience 5 stars.

Best Sleep EVER
My family and I live in Seattle and summer days are long with 16 hours of daylight until after 10pm. After just a few days of using the TUO bulbs, my whole family including our young children got back to our regular schedules. Instead of the kids being awake until 10pm, 2 days later with TUO, they went to bed at 7pm.

The whole family is sleeping great now!

My kids started to struggle to fall asleep when the day started to get longer in early summer and they started waking later and later in the morning. But now they are sleeping great after installing the lights in our living room/ kitchen. Love this and recommend this to anyone!

Awesome for regulating your circadian rhythm. I used this bulb to adjust my sleep after returning from a transpacific trip. Best sleep ever!

Doesn’t track sunrise at all. No HomeKit integration.
The app has a mode for setting sleep and wake times but sleep and wake time varies over the year as a function of the sunrise and sunset. Whenever the sun rises that’s when I want to wake up. This is an obvious oversight on the part of the designers. Why can’t I have it turn on at sunrise? I mean it is a sunrise simulation lamp is it not?

Poor UX
The app is not user friendly and needs improvement. Also, my tuo light has issues connecting even though it’s on and I’m standing 2 feet away and my Bluetooth settings are on.

Good concept, still needs further development.

Won’t fade
The scheduling works but even when I set the bulb to fade on and off it won’t fade. It just goes on and off. Waking up to a light that goes from 0 to 100 watts immediately is not an enjoyable experience.

Failed at first hurdle
Either due to poor design or failure to communicate with Apple, I was not able to read the full terms of service. I cannot and will not use software or hardware that requires agreeing to a contract that I cannot read in full.
