The best new app for everyone
2020 has been a year of downs. At a life changing time like this TurnUp is a blessing. Right now our youth are coming together and advocating for our climate, for justice, for our lives and much more. TurnUp is crucial if we want to reach our activism potential. It has everything in one place. I feel completed now that I have TurnUp because with the app I have everything I need at my hand. Now I just have to click a button to RSVP to an event I’m passionate about instead of scouring the internet for information. I feel in the loop because TurnUp is constantly adding more and more events I can attend. I feel accepted because the users of the app are a community of people who all share the same beliefs.
I know that as a teenager I sometimes feel underestimated due to my age. I feel less educated then adults and I feel belittled sometimes because somehow the older you are the more you know. TurnUp is one step closer to ending the stigma behind age. Everyone can benefit from this app because all the info is in ONE PLACE!! Truly a life changing app for a life changing year

Great tool for new activists!
Turnup is the perfect app for anyone who wants to get involved in activism but doesn’t know where to start! It offers access to helpful resources in a wide range of topics, including registering to vote, campaigning and running for office, climate change, indigenous rights, racial justice, and youth organizing. It also has a feed of nearby events and allows you to filter these events by issue, event type (virtual or in person) and location! This makes it easy for me to learn about ways to address the social issues that matter most to me. In my home feed, I can quickly see what events my friends are participating in, and the format of the posts allows me to easily find the date, time, and location of every event.

It’s about TIME! Young people, get excited and engaged!
This app is truly something that has been missing from the app space. We always get irritated and talk about how young people don’t get politically involved, but we never really have any resources that are streamlined to get them involved in the first place. TurnUp has shown up at the perfect time to get people involved! I always thought it was extremely difficult to find political events and organizations, and now it’s all in one place! You can also follow people and build connections, as well as read about different topics impacting our lives today. This is a great app to get young people excited and ready to get politically active and engaged!! I truly think this app is a game changer.

TurnUP is exactly what GenZ needs
For the past couple years now, there have have been more and more youth activists. Whether they are political activists, environmental, human rights, Black Lives Matter, etc... However there hasn’t been an app I found that is catered toward teens who are activists in their community. TurnUp is designed like a social media outlet that’s all about whatever category of activism you support. There are also many other youth on the app, that also do the support that same causes you support. It’s nice to see a huge community of individuals that are pushing for a change! All in all, it’s a amazing app.

This app is amazing for people to use and it provides educational information for people who want to get involved with issues that have an impact on their lives. The app provides recourse for young people to use in order to get act on topics like politics, racial justice, climate change, and many more. The app is easy to use and allows people to share events with friends, as well as find events that are happening close to specific locations or joining events virtually. This app is great and makes you feel like you are engaging with communities and pushing for a change.

You can RSVP and find all necessary information from within the app, which is incredibly useful.

The community is, as you would expect from an app consisting solely of activists, incredibly welcoming and accepting. The app even has a resources tab for new activists that consists of a plethora of invaluable resources.

This app is absolutely essential to anyone seeking to become an activist in their community. I simply cannot recommend it enough.

Great App!
The TurnUp app has proven to be a useful tool for organizing events, spreading information and awareness, and generally aiding youth activism. This easy-to-navigate app allows users to locate events and people around them, which helps spur momentum in movements. I like that the app provides different information on a range topics, from Black Lives Matter to criminal justice reform. Information is easy accessible to users. If you are looking to get involved in local activism, as well as activism on a larger scale, this app will help you do so.

Great App!
Although I have not had the TurnUp app for a very long time, I have had time to get acquainted with it and it is extremely helpful and resourceful. It helps me stay up to date with events and resources that I am interested in such as information on Black businesses, BLM, Climate Striking, and more. It is such a wide range of information on this app that it is helpful for the youth and everyone else as well. Overall, I enjoy using this app and learning something new while doing it!

Excellent App
I am a current intern with TurnUp. It is exciting to see how amazing this app turned out! I was originally interested in the idea of TurnUp as it was difficult for me to find ways to engage with my community online. As a young activist I will definitely be using this platform. I especially like the feature that TurnUp included that allows users to find events in their area. I think it is critical that young people get involved in advocating for the issues that they are passionate about.

A Revolutionary App!
TurnUp is inspiring thousands of young people across the country to become activists in their own way, big or small. This app has great potential to become a game changer in the way individual ignite activism in local communities whether by connecting youth with events, granting access to resources across the political spectrum, or encouraging people to sign petitions for the causes they care about. I believe it can foster a culture of activism that doesn’t appear in short bursts, but in real, long term change. I would really recommend this app!
