Twi Comprehensive is meant to introduce a non-Twi beginner to the spoken language. It may also be used by those who have some knowledge of the language, but who want to improve their competence in it.
Twi Comprehensive is divided into three sections; Vocabulary section, Dialogue section and Exercise section. The main focus of what the app deals with is the spoken language, and every effort has been made to ensure that the dialogues are as natural and as close to current everyday usage as possible.
The app may be used with or without an instructor. It comes with audio accompanying every word or sentence, and the learner is advised to listen to them and shadow them as often as is necessary to get, especially, the intonation right.
Twi Comprehensive is a must, not only for anyone who wants to relate to people from Ghana whether he or she is on a short or an extended visit, but also for non-Ghanaians who are interested in the Twi language or require a working knowledge in the language.
Twi Comprehensive is heavily based on 'A Comprehensive Course In Twi (Asante) for the Non-Twi Learner' written by Professor Florence Abena Dolphyne.
Professor Florence Abena Dolphyne has been teaching in the Department of Linguistics in the University of Ghana since 1965.

Great - I want hands free!
Love this app. Recently returned to Ghana and wanted to relearn Twi - I would love an auto play option to go through all of the words in a row. It would be awesome if I could choose to repeat each word two or 3 times before continuing to the next word that would also play 3 times. That repetition would help in me being able to remember the vocabulary passively instead of needing to tap on it while I drive. Lol. Akan people of the world, we need this right meow!😺

Great learning experience
Great app and very intuitive! I love the way things are breaking down to topics and separate to sections within each topic. I’ll add that this is a great app to use together with their Udemy course “Learn Akan Twi - An Interactive Twi Video Course “

Great app for learning Twi
It has nice presentation. The content is useful, and not the typical easy greetings. I am very impressed with how the app uses conversation as the context for learning the vocabulary and phrases, rather than a randomized quiz which doesn’t imitate realistic use.

Excellent Twi Learning App

Lacking verbs
This is a great app but I would appreciate a section on verbs.

not good for beginners
it gives you a decent amount of vocabulary and then the dialogues have words and phrases you weren't even taught. and it just teaches words and not phrase structure, verb conjugation, or how to make a full, cohesive sentence at all
