Description

The Ultimate Stopwatch is a professional timing tool for the iPhone and iPad, providing multiple stopwatches for anyone who has to track a large number of people in a large number of events, especially coaches, trainers, or PE teachers.

Simple to use, but powerful enough to handle a heavy workload.

No Limits
=========
Time an unlimited number of watches (with an incredible 180 displayed at once on an iPad Pro!)
Track unlimited laps per watch (last 4 to 10 displayed, depending on watch "face" used)
Track unlimited number of races, each named with location and any notes
Have your Watches run all the time (independently of whether app is running or not); no power used when watches are not displayed on screen

Complete control
================
Edit built-in activity list to include whatever sports/events you track
Control each watch separately, or use master start/stop/reset
Choose from 25 different stopwatch formats (iPhone/iPad, bigger/smaller, more/less info shown)
Switch at any time between split/cumulative display, or even both!
Control the fractions of a second to display (tenths, hundreds, thousandths)

Unlimited People
================
Organize your people into teams, classes, or groups
Report for each person on what their races/times have been across all races
Import people from your contacts, including photos and emails
Track personal best for each kind of race for each person

Flexible Reports
================
Add notes to each race or even each person in a race
Sort reports by time or by name
Print reports or copy/paste into other applications, or export as CSV into Excel
Send reports via email to each person or to the whole group
Track and report which type of activity was timed (even separately for each watch)
Find a race by name, or use the map to find it by location
Set time display units and split options for reports separately from watches
Graphs of individual or race performance.

Easy to use
============
Launch a race without even looking, using the volume button
Run multiple races simultaneously, easily switching between them
Not sure who's coming in? Save a temporary Lap or Stop and assign it later
Load a race for a whole group in a single tap with a huge start button
Auto-sort watches: as each person completes a lap, they drop to the bottom, so next lap they're easy to find.
Or manually drag watches into whatever order you like
Track photos for each person to help identify during a large group run
Add, sort, or delete watches, even while race is ongoing
Correct timing mistakes by easily editing any time for any watch or lap
Undo any mistakes throughout the app (such as on a false start or hitting the wrong lap button: just shake and accept the undo)
Use Staggered starts to automatically spread out your runners over time, or launch a new group all at once
Full Screen launch board so each runner nows when to go

Recent Races!
In one way or another, multiple people have asked to make it easier to switch between recent races. Either they are editing them, or they are tracking multiple groups in simultaneous races, or they want to set up several races for a day, and quickly access them.

In the Main menu, I've added an option for "Recent Races", which shows the last few races. (You can easily add/remove them from this list) Then with two taps, you can switch back and forth between these races.

Thank you for your enthusiastic support! Here's a few bug fixes:
Can now "Add new people" from "All People" screen
"Select from Contacts" visible on iPhoneX
Plugged minor memory leak
2.6.0
2018-06-23
There is now an "Intervals (Auto Laps)" option in Preferences.
When enabled, when you Stop a watch, and then restart it, it automatically records a Lap at the Stop time.
This is designed for interval training (everybody does a lap, then pause, then another lap etc), each interval will then be recorded as a separate lap, and the cumulative will show the sum of all active intervals.
You can restart with Individual start buttons, or All Start, or Staggered Start.

We have removed "Force Touch" from the main watch screen, as it was sometimes being accidentally triggered during the excitement of a race.
2.5.1

3/4 minute stagger times
2.0.5

Support for Interval Training (see below*)
Converting "Remove Ads" to "Support Watches"
Allows deleting photo
Fixes:
Black background icon
Fixes iPad import of photo
Column problem when importing CSV to Excel or Numbers

*At the request of a coach, the latest version has better support for interval training. For example, if you have a group that is doing 8 laps, with a brief break in between, then just start them the normal way, with or without using Staggered Start. As each person finishes, hit their individual Stop button. After the break, when you’re ready for the next lap, just hit the master Start (either Stagger Start or Start All) again. Watches now recognizes this case (last button pressed was an individual Stop and then a master Start), and automatically record the individual times as Laps.

This seems a very useful behavior across multiple sports, but if you don’t want it, for the last person, simply hit "All Stop" instead of their individual Stop button Also, let me know; if enough people need it, I’ll make it a configuration option.

Eschews unnecessary margins in Notes fields
Sorting by name now sorts by ... name
Race reports show position (#1, #2 ...).
Immediately reflects merging runners in UI (and avoids an occasional crash).
Now avoids accidental time travel by preventing negative lap times in watch editor.
All Stop should appear when it is supposed to (when all watches started, and at least one still running)
For those who like to read release notes, it'd be great if you'd file a review (just go to the main menu)!

2015-05-02
Fix for obscure crash, and new data model for next release.
1.1.4
2015-03-13
Major bug hunting expedition; all known bugs terminated.

Annoying gray bar gone
Keyboard works in Notes field after leaving and coming back in
Fix for a strange negative time possibility
Saves more frequently during a race
A few typos remedied
Two obscure crashing bugs gone.
To save battery, if you have more than 8 watches running on the screen at once, we now slow the screen updates down. This has no effect on accuracy; it's strictly visual.

We're already working on the next release with several significant new features that are just about done. If you'd like to try these out, sign up for the beta test in Help>Feedback Forum>Subscribe to 1.2 Beta.

Finally, I don't want to interrupt your usage of Watches with review requests, but if you like the product, submitting a review is the best thing you can do for us! Just go to the menu and Recommend Watches.

Flash Santoro,
It does it all! Amazing!
While at first it may appear rather ordinary and a little bit odd looking and odd sounding, once you get to know the app, it’s probably the most useful timing program ever! I’ve been running for 30 years and coaching for 25 years and seen and owned all sorts of timing apps and equipment and this little app can do everything! Until I knew its inner workings, it just seemed ordinary. It is far from that! It keeps track of lifetime achievements for all athletes under their profiles, allows for the addition of splits on the fly or split corrections if coach fat-fingers the wrong key. You can add athlete pictures, view performance charts, name each workout, add custom distances for the program to chart your athletes’ performances. I simply cannot rave about it enough. You can start and stop all athletes at once. You can add athletes on the fly during your current timing session. You can have multiple workouts being timed at once.

Coaches, trust me when I say that this is the essential app for tracking our distance runners and is 100 times better than any stopwatch or combination of apps. I use it to time both races and workouts. I coach middle school, high school, college and Masters.

Spend some time getting to know it, mess around with it and you’ll see what I’m talking about.

Thank you so much for this app! I’ve been searching for years and finally found one that’s noteworthy!
Antm8n,
Finally!!
This is a great app to use when keeping track of a class running laps on the track. As a PE teacher of 13 years I have dotted hands, given out popsicle sticks, and dotted small pieces of scrap paper just to keep track of laps and times. Now I can keep track of splits, email the results straight to my computer and have the run graded before my next period class begins! Big high 5 to the developer of this software!
Jamca,
Great application for multiple races
We recently held an obstacle course race with races starting every half hour. This was excellent for tracking runners as skill levels varies greatly. Adding the runners photo a big plus.

Had a small issue trying to find the correct process for our needs. Sent a message on a Sunday night for help and was pleasantly surprised to receive our answer within minutes!
Stephen Lew,
Extremely Valuable Coaching Tool
As a cross country and track coach, I use this app daily and it’s a life saver. I looked for the perfect handheld stopwatch and spent $70 on one that can keep 3 watches at a time and not in a streamlined way. This app is so much better than an old school stop watch when you’re time multiple people both in a race setting and practice setting.
Crzy8fan,
Used for rowing head race
We had close to 70 entrants in our 5k rowing race. Boats go off in age group events, every 15 seconds. This worked perfectly! It would be awesome, though, if 5 users could split the duties between start and finish so that we wouldn’t have to be pushing start and stop simultaneously for different races starting and finishing at the same time.
Dwt920,
Simple to use and very powerful
I have been using this stop watch to track my swimmers times. It calculates the splits and saves the results. It even graphs the historical data. The only feature that I wish it had is to be able to import the data from multiple devices.
Black Magic5683,
💗💗 Still a superb app! 💗💗
These Ultimate Stopwatches are outstanding! I can actually roll the stopwatch numbers to a specific time if need be! I really like this app and all I can do with it. Keep up the good work! Won't be deleting this off my phone!
TulsaTrackCoach,
Game Changer
This is the most helpful tool I’ve added to my coaching belt. There’s no way I could back to just a stopwatch now. Practice with it then go to meets and practices with confidence!
XC Mom!,
Great app for timing multiple runners and splits
Fantastic app! This one works for multiple runners, splits, and saves history! Perfect for distance running and training!
Grrcrash,
Can we get some cloud space
Love this app but would like to see a cloud space to be able to move between my devices and maybe even share between staff members!
