More strategy than chess or bridge
This game has more strategy than chess or bridge and I’ve done well in both those games. Each of it’s 4 components are almost a stand alone game - Jobs and Map, PvP and War, Bosses, EvE. When you thread all four together with your Loadouts, energy/stamina with experience/levels, and finances, you have quite a complex mix. Furthermore, each Loadout has a variety to go after - LTs, weapons, gear, insignias, and sidekicks, just to mention the main ones. And topping off all that are weekly events.
Those are just the basics. I’ve uncovered lots more to this game. I have collected more data and research than I ever did with chess and bridge combined. And I seem to never stop finding more and more new things.
Real money may or may not be required to be number one, but it is not required to do well. If you measure your success in this game by not so artificial comparisons, you’ll realize that all you need to grow is to spend time.
I just hope the developers do not trash their own games as so many have done with Internet games. If the developers stick to what they are doing, they will have an immortal game - like chess, bridge, Monopoly, Scrabble, etc.

This apps might be illegal in some countries because of its gambling nature
This was an addicting game, but after 7+yrs of running I found less and less players are active now. Generally new players have almost no chance to catch up with players with 4+yrs experience unless they spend a lot of money buying “crates” or “sidekicks” or other stuff to enhance their power quickly. One major problem is, for those “crates” which will give your lieutenants, the developers claim you have 5% chance to get “epic” drops, 10% chance to get “rare” drops, etc. However chance is, this might only valid for the whole players community. It is not necessarily applicable to each player and the bias could be huge. I once rolled 44 crates all together and got NONE of epic drop at all. This is discouraging to players who spend money on this game. This also could cause serious problem - As some people told me, since each crate costs about $5, and the activity of rolling crates doesn’t guarantee the distribution of drops in each category, it is defined as “gambling” in some countries, such as China, and it is illegal. I am surprised no one from those countries sued the developer team and pulled this game out of App Store yet.
I wish dev team be aware of this issue and make some move, not only to please every player who spends on this game, but also to keep this game surviving longer.

Game got worse
I've been playing this game for over five years now. I've played the game when it was owned by Phoenix Age then by Kabaam and now by a new company that I don't even have an idea who they are. During that time I've spent money and have gradually improved my account. However, last year during one of their big events based mainly on energy stats, they released a lieutenant Ripper that has completely changed the game and made it completely imbalanced. Now an account that has less than a year playing, but that was able to win a copy of that lieutenant, can completely over power another veteran account like mine, even if he looses. This strategy of this company of just making money disregarding the gameplay has made this game worthless. I tried to contact their support to make this complaint, but it's not user friendly and it's like detective work to try and find out how to contact them. Instead of making it easier for users to reach them, they have made it harder. It seems like they don't even care and they are just trying to milk this cow to the very last drop and make a run while it still has milk. I'm done playing the game and I suggest you don't even start playing it. It's not worth it, it's imbalanced and you won't be able to compete unless you give them hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Low rating because...
For over 6 years we seen “empire drops” as place holders for future building upgrades....so when is this “future”? Also, why not have building upgrades reflect the actual look of the buildings so war maps are actually interesting and unique to each empire for their upgrades. Graphical enhancements would keep players interested as well. Spending money on this game has one of the worst values in gaming in the App Store. I have played this game since it came out and still have it on my phone. Only go thru a few motions to join wars. Interest is lacking and many players have stopped playing. Why, empty promises. Update some graphics to this game. Also pvp war and duel: on duel, player stats should dictate outcome. In pvp war, outcome should only be dictated by Lieutenant levels collected gear and NOT the player stats, hence it’s a war. The player is like the president of his collection/army , in war your army fights for you. Fix the pvp war!!! If players want their stats to matter then that’s what duel is for. War should be for those that spend points on energy and stamina and collecting stuff.

Needs something new.
Been playing for 5+ years and while I still like the game and play daily I gotta agree w/ a lot of the comments that the dev’s seem to have gotten greedy which is displayed on the volume of events and the fact that to do even just fairly decent you have to spend real world money. Again, still like the game but instead of more events to make more money why not focus some of that energy and effort into making some new classes or upgrades on existing classes i.e. Sniper to Ghost to Phantom? Add some new properties, new weapons etc. Make the game interesting again. Hope you guys are listening because I think many are beginning to get bored and frustrated and I get the sense that the game is on the decline and dying. Maybe it’s like another reviewer said and you are aware but don’t care and now just want to milk it for all you can before moving to something else.

The devs are money hungry!impossible to get anything good without having to spend a ton of money. Some people on this game have spent hundreds of thousands and do not have everything. They are very shady with events, they won't tell you a thing. If you don't have millions to play this game just leave now. They don't listen to the players on what's wrong. They send out surveys to make it seem they are doing stuff but not once have any suggestions been acted upon. Many have discussions on their website and the feed back is limited and they say the same ole same. DONT BE FOOLED. There are so many problems in this game that the devs will probably never fix but they will be happy to take your money and run.

Ruined game
Game started as a daily thing to do to kill a few mins and do wars. Dailies followed by constant events of any sort and hunts turned from what once was few years ago a few minutes into hours. Try not to hit 5 or 10% on super so people didn’t know you were on cause lord knows you been playing for a long time doing chores. And then you have to do war. And chores is what I call it cause that’s what the game turned. 3 accounts to take care of is just ridiculous amounts of time spent playing this game. Free play is trash and the drop rate is as everyone says trash. And give your players some updates on new content ffs. War log pops up blank or so transparent most times you can’t even see it. Have to open it 3-4 times. And the one that burned me most was the art work from another game. Not the highest grossing game, but enough to have it’s own art work. I’m sure I’ll get the “sorry you’ve had a bad experience” comment from a dev, but sorry doesn’t cut it.

Easy in the beginning
I’ve been playing since pretty much the beginning, and I just started my third “toon”. In the beginning this can be an easy game, with short game sessions. But, over time, the game does become gradually more complicated in subtle ways. You really don’t need to spend money, don’t worry what is happening with those who are far stronger than you, just enjoy the level of difficulty you’re at currently. If you insist upon being as strong as others who have played this far longer, you’ll need to spend money, but it’s not necessary. In time, with patience, you’ll get stronger. So, be patient, play the long game, and you’ll be okay.

Great Game
So many negative reviews that seems to me are made mostly by players who are upset because they are either unwilling to spend any money to make their game stronger or they don't know enough about how to play the game to achieve the same outcomes with very little spending if any at all. It all just depends on how you build your account (toon). Love the multifaceted aspects to the game which has kept me playing now for 6 years! Sure, there are some improvements that need to be made but the developers have been and are continuing to work on that and a lot of the bugs have been fixed. My only complaint is about how addictive this game is!!

Dont buy any microtransactions from this app
Every few months the app has something called an event where you have the chance to get some good rewards. At the end of the last event some of my accounts didnt get any of the rewards. When i emailed support i had to waste 10 days as the support staff wasted my time sending me links and information that had absolutely nothing to do with the missing rewards i should of received. Then finally they lie and said i didnt reach the requirements... dont even bother with this app dont spend a single penny these owners are only going to squeeze every penny out of this app and then shut it down
