An excellent idea to illustrate a point
It's one thing to be told about all the hazards and pitfalls associated with smoking but it really drives the point home when you can see just how much such habits can and do cost you. Now that we live in a time where we rely more and more on smart phones and other such personal devices, it is good to see such technological innovations used in such a creative manner for the purpose of assisting people in living better.

Great app!
As a med student, I think this app is a very useful tool to motivate patients to quit smoking. I actually already used it with a patient I saw while on my clinical rotations. The possible applications for such an app extend even beyond smoking to other substances and to motivating patients to make lifestyle changes of all kinds. This app is a clear cut and simple motivational tool that is great for counselors and health professionals of all kinds.

Good Tool
I have incorporated this software into my motivation interviewing. It is kind of a nifty tool. The fact that my patient can't quit cigarettes for $500 total and save $90k is a fact that makes it a no brainier for some of them. Others...I feel like I am planting seeds that will one day bloom...
