Not sure about this company
I made a booking for cleaning . The app says it charged me a specific amount but then my bank gets charged a higher amount . I end of cancelling the booking because the professional wouldn’t confirm that they would wear a mask, and even though it says that in their platform to wear a mask that doesn’t necessarily mean it happens. I did not trust this company to give me a refund if the professional refuse to wear a mask and I turn them away so I didn’t get a refund but only and the specific amount that the app showed and not for the full amount that I was actually charged from my bank. I have discussed this at length with my bank who is a very reputable bank, and they can’t figure it out other than they think it might be some be that the app does. The Urban Company says they’re looking into it but given the feedback that I’ve seen, I don’t have much faith . Luckily, it’s a small amount of money discrepancy but because of this I don’t trust them to use them again because next time the money that disappears could be higher

User beware
I had heard about them on Instagram and fell for ads that an influencer posted. Please note that they’re either getting the service for free or are getting paid to say great things about the company. My experience was terrible! I booked urban company for a move out cleaning. I paid extra for deep cleaning, other add ons, and included tip. My cleaner (Angelique) arrived late. Within the first 15 minutes they tell us they have to leave because they need to go to the store and buy a grout cleaner meaning they were unprepared. We were there two of the 6+ hours they were scheduled for the cleaning clearing our garage. My dad shows up to our house an hour before they leave and tells me that the house isn’t fully cleaned. Only the kitchen was worked on. We then get a message from the cleaner saying that they couldn’t finish the job but hope we were still happy with what they did. Umm are you kidding me?! I paid for a service and expected my house to be cleaned from top to bottom. Our only saving grace was that we had one more day until the keys had to be turned in. We had to have other people clean our house because urban company customer service was difficult to get ahold of. They have provided a refund afterwards but it’s pending. At the end of the day it was not worth the headache and stress. Would not recommend.

A five star ac service that bombed.
Being a stupid cancerian who likes to over maintain the equipment suddenly decided to call for a split ac service second time in 3 months. The over efficient new gen mech swiftly dismantelled the inside unit serviced & reinstalled within a period of an hour plus. On checking the cooling that looked fine & the efficiency of the job done I could not but give 5 stars for the entire job. The day went, night came & I checked into my bedroom switched on the ac & went to sleep. Next morning I found a pool of water that had fallen from the inside unit of the ac on to the TV below & finally on the floor. To cut the entire story short after contacting UC with great difficulty firstly there is no column anywhere where one can contact UC, secondly there is no column for complaints or suggestions ! On the fourth attempt & this time I — being a technical person sat with the mech and showed him that the inside unit has not been mounted properly that even a non technical person could observe it. All it required was to reinstall the inside unit back into its original slots & bingo the problem got over. I blame totally the system that requires the mechanics to have targets to meet hence mess up the jobs in their hurry. Plus the harassment and loss of a TV to the customer. 😔

The helpers called cops on us
I had the worst experience today with the workers sent to us by UC. The people arrived on time and inspected the house for 45 mins then said that they will not clean our house claiming that, “aapke ghar mai saman hai aur ghar saaf karne ko time lagega” I fail to understand what would be the purpose of me asking for help if my house was clean. They had mentioned on the service that it would take 6-7 hours. I told their manager why don’t you ask them to start working and they can leave it be at the end of 6 hours. The worker denied. My house help left the house to make a call to us and by the time I reached the house the workers had called the cops on us claiming that we are not allowing them to leave. My father had to go to the police station along with one of the guys from UC. We spent 3 hours in this and did not get any service but a lot of headache. UC said they will send someone the next day which means I have to take a leave from work and stay with them hike they clean my house. It is unimaginable that the 3 workers got threatened for safety by a women and had to call for the cops for help. I am extremely disappointed and discouraged by the horrible treatment I received and the unnecessary hassle of going to the police station just for ordering a cleaning service.

Very unprofessional
My nails chipped the following day after my appointment and when I called they were very helpful in arranging them to be fixed. They gave me a day/time so I took work off to accommodate that. No one showed up for that appointment. Later they called me to ask how my service is and I told them no one showed up, they said they would call me back and find out what’s going on. 3 days later I had to call them and ask what’s going on? They apologized and rescheduled for my nails to be fixed. I call later that night just to confirm because I would be taking work off and needed them to be sure. They confirmed my appointment. The following day they called in the morning and said it was cancelled. This is so unprofessional. I took work off twice to accommodate them, I also have an event where I need my nails done. This has taken them a week since my first complaint. I called the help line and asked to speak to a manager and the employees name ( I believe she said Rhea) hung up on me. I again had to call back and ask what’s going on. Nor did a manager ever call me. I’m disgusted with how this company handles business. Very unprofessional. I will make sure to let all my clients know not to use them and I will never use their services again.

The worst service app available
I am rating this after years of experience with this company. Urban clap is by far the most unreliable and most incompetent app I have dealt with in the UAE. I’ve dealt with them for 3 year+ and mostly in the cleaner and maintenance domain &every service I book, has similar issues. They never appear on time and when they do they expect you to reward them for it, their professionals are mostly incompetent with the exception of 1 or 2. They also never see the work through, I once ordered a service that was urgent they came waisted 2 to 3 hours of my time contemplating if they should do the job then left without doing the job. They always have issues with there cleaners although I had a subscription and an issue with their app payment, they give several excuses for why they can’t show up like for example manager not paying the cleaners salary and I’m barely scratching the surface. The customer support is atrocious, they lack accountability, they will always try to pin an issue on the customer, they refuse to take responsibility and find u a solution and this theme is very repetitive.

My point in writing this review is to just warn and go ahead try it and see for urself.

Worst cleaning service I’ve ever used
The cleaners were fine, the company is so incredibly frustrating to work with. They will call you like once a week to tell you something in the app is broken and you’ll have to do something on your end to fix it. You can’t schedule bookings more than a a week and a half in advance, so if you want to schedule something later, you have to remember to log into their app and schedule it before you can’t anymore and hope that people won’t cancel on you. Their start times are always off, when the cleaners did show up, it was always early or late, and we’d compare our apps and my booking would always have a different time than the cleaner’s booking. You can’t get ahold of your cleaner unless you use their app, and the cleaners apparently don’t get notifications about it so they’ve never responded to me. The last straw was I needed help cleaning my house before Christmas and I had 4 jobs cancel on me before I called it quits. Don’t use this service. Use a local cleaner. They won’t leave you wanting to pull your hair out.

Very unprofessional and unethical service agents
I would give a negative rating if there was an option!! When we are booking for a service, we are getting numerous calls from various service professionals. Booked professional is very rude, unprofessional, blackmailing customer, very unsafe and targeting single women or women who are getting service done without any accompanied male. UC unable to track and can’t get feedback from the customer after service. The contact center is useless, unable to provide real-time solutions and feedback, chatbots are there but once connected won’t even respond.
Moreover, the service professionals are finding various tactics, by taking payment post service and not updating in the app. So that we as customers cannot give reviews. If urban clap is unable to fill these gaps, it’s sure to be doomed . We lost trust on the company post service and won’t recommend these days. Also we have came to know that we’re not alone many are suffering the same due to these unethical service agents

Having recommended by a friend, I opted for this service on a visit to India to my home from US. The initial technician found a blockage in AC pipe and cleaned it and it worked well. Thought it was a simple fix. Later, I realized the AC started leaking water from the rear end closer to the wall. Same technician visited again, this time suggesting Gas leakage issue and asking for another 2500/-
I immediately questioned why he couldn’t see the issue as he was here a week ago. UC called and assured an SME. They did not charge me for deep cleaning but I ended up agreeing to pay 2500 for the gas. AC worked fine but to my utter surprise now I see more water leakage from the rear. When I went upstairs to check near the compressor, I see a hole made in the wall on the outer side intentionally. Cannot figure out which of the technicians did it and UC hasn’t come back to resolve the issue yet. Worst part, I do not even know the right customer service number to reach out to them.

Very bad quality nail service
If I could I would not even rate a star. The service was botched up and the nails started peeling off within an hour. I called the company for help and solution. They offered me a pathetic refund of 15%. I paid $120 dollars and thd job was bad. My nails needed to be done for an important event plus it is the festive season. I am horrified by the lack of quality and the pathetic response when I contacted the service centre. I will not recommend anyone to this company and have told everyone whom I recommended as the bad service reflects on me. Not a good company if no viable solution or resolution to an urgent issue is to offer a terrible small refund of a very tiny percentage. Not recommended. I had three useless follow up calls and the after sales service if you call it that is even more depressing. No viable solution. No resolution. They just should not have this company if they cannot resolve an issue. I have to refer this to CASE.
