Laface8*,
I did it ! You can too!
How I passed nclex in 75 questions! First off let me say that I read a million post both good and bad about the nclex and review programs. Our school got us discounted price for Kaplan and because everyone was buying it i felt like I need to as well, although expensive I made the purchase. After practicing for about 2 weeks I realize that Kaplan is not for me !!! I felt very discouraged and the rationals is non existence , they sucked! After spending over $300 (discounted price) on Kaplan I was hesitant to buy another program, then I came cross uworld and the testimonies were great. Badly In need of building confidence to face this exam I closed my eyes and bought yet another nclex review program. I GOT UWORLD ! this time I was pleased with my purchase pass or fail! Uworld is awesome I did questions on uworld for a month and I passed with 75 questions. By doing uworld questions and reading the rationals if you get it wrong or right was very help as it teaches you how to look at/ approach the questions.... I strongly recommend uworld because you can’t pass nclex without content , test strategies go so far..... CONTENT IS KEY and uworld rationals are like pages from a text book . Thank you uworld the best $150 I have ever spent !!! Alesha RN
Bria Diamond,
Power of Questions
I used uworld in my last semester in advanced med surg/ critical care and through studying for NCLEX. I bought the $200 subscription that comes with the test bank & two practice test. I think this app is good at being a tool to make sure you get the “meat and potatoes” of what you need to know necessary to all the topics they have. It has good explanations and although it didn’t have that many questions for critical care I think it helped me understand better and is good to go over in a study group. As for the NCLEX I passed with 75 questions and I did the test bank and for both practice tests it said I had a high chance of passing. And don’t worry even if it doesn’t it gives a good overview on what you need to go back over!! I think this is a good tool for all nursing students but especially the ones that learn from doing a lot of questions like me. This also was a big help for my exit exam for my nursing school. So I recommend uworld even if you get it for the cheapest one just to read those explanations and have a decent amount of questions that you can take notes and write flash cards from. It’s much easier to retain since it is summed up precisely. Thank you Uworld!!!

MichelleDeew,
Bottom Line: Passed on first attempt!
UWorld was my main study resource for the NCLEX-RN. I averaged in the 60s, got a “Very High” chance of passing on my first self assessment and a “High” chance of passing on my second. I passed the NCLEX last weekend in 75 questions. I highly recommend UWorld as a resource. I did not follow a study schedule like some do. I’m the mom of an 18-month-old and mostly would do spurts of 15-30 timed and tutored questions when I had the time. I took my first self assessment a month prior to when I thought the exam would be (mine was rescheduled for a month later due to a snowstorm) and I took the second self assessment two days before my exam. Though I got great results from UWorld, I only gave 4 stars because making flash cards was a selling point for me and I could never figure out how to do it right or how to do it in a way to benefit me. I wish I could have starred questions that I really wanted to come back to review what I wanted in an easier way. UWorld is way harder than the NCLEX but it helped me most with practicing those dreaded SATA questions and highlighting my weaknesses. The rationales are great. Using UWorld, memorizing labs, and brushing up on nurse education/nurse prioritization is the only thing I would tell my past, pre-NCLEX, super anxious self to focus on.
B2315,
Yes, UWorld can help you pass the NCLEX
By no means is UWorld going to do the work for you, but it is true that the questions are almost exactly like NCLEX questions and UWorld tests even look almost exactly like the NCLEX itself. I took my first assessment one week before my NCLEX and got a “high” chance of passing, after doing about 100 practice questions a week for 6 weeks. I then did 75 questions a day that week and took my second assessment the day before my NCLEX and got a “very high” chance of passing. On test day, the exam shut off at 75 questions and I knew I passed. UWorld was 100% worth the money. But DONT only prepare yourself to answer 75 questions, because then you won’t have the mental stamina to continue if you don’t pass in 75 (which means nothing). I recommend doing at least 100 questions in one sitting 3-4 times before you take the NCLEX. Also, tutor mode is helpful in the beginning but I would turn it off after 1-2 weeks of studying because it will better simulate the NCLEX experience without it on, but still read the rationales for every question (whether or not you answered it correctly).
courtnu,
Love!! Passed the first time, 78 questions!
Uworld is fantastic!! The questions are challenging and the rationals are concise and informative. I would absolutely recommend Uworld to anyone taking their NCLEX. This was the ONLY tool I used to study and I felt prepared going into my exam. I completed the entire 2000 question Qbank. I started out scoring in the mid 40s in the Qbank and ended scoring 60s-70. Best advice I have is to read the rationals, and take time to understand them!(especially on reoccurring topics)

Uworld has great features that alway you to create flash cards, mark questions for review, and create tests based on topics you choose! I enjoyed being able to create tests from the Qbank to set daily goals for how many questions I wanted to get done.

I found the app super useful. I started studying about a month before my exam, while working a full time job as a nanny. I was constantly on the app trying to sneak in a few questions here and there. I don’t think it would have been possible for me to get all the Qbank questions done without it!
A Sound Commuter,
Truly the best NCLEX preparation tool!
I had used a variety of resources to prepare for the NCLEX, including ATI, Saunders, Kaplan, My Nursing Mastery, and Hurst Review. Not everyone learns the same way, so I tried to find what worked best for me. In the end, it came down to UWorld with Saunders as a supplement. I love that UWorld has its own predictor and progress tracking. The review structure helped me to identify weak areas while providing question rationale and explanations so that I could improve next time around. Not only was I able to refresh and expand what I had learned in school, but I was also able to break down exactly what the question was asking and how to select an appropriate answer. Another advantage to UWorld is that the question format (on computer) was exactly like that of the NCLEX. When I went to take the real test, I was comfortable with the format and felt as if I were just going through more UWorld questions. I passed in 75 questions, finishing in approximately 45 minutes. I highly recommend this app to future nurses!
AuthenticBayAreaFan,
Used only this app to pass the NCLEX-RN
So the title says it all. I used only this application to prepare for the NCLEX-RN exam. A lot of nursing exam prep occurs in nursing school. The app is easy to use, you select create a test, then select the question mode, subjects, and body systems, and finally the number of questions. I began with 40 questions and then increased to 75. For question mode, I always selected unused (that is the questions that haven’t been asked yet) but you can also select to be tested on the questions you got wrong. I read all of the explanations (even for most of the ones I got right) and took notes on things I thought were important to remember only.
I made flashcards for some things with the app if I saw a table or other important diagram.
I highly recommend this application. I had friends in the nursing program that failed all of the ATI exams but used only this app to pass the exam.
If you want to pass the exam with flying colors, buy the app! You won’t be disappointed, I promise!
Lneace51943,
DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME STUDYING...BUY UWORLD
I did Uworld and only Uworld consistently for a whole month. I would occasionally watch Sara RN and look at my notes (which were very dry because I already knew my notes) but Uworld made me the most prepared for this important test. Uworld is set up just like the NCLEX so it’s basically like just taking another Uworld test. I passed the first time with 78 questions. I couldn’t believe it. Don’t waste your time with other NCLEX prep. It’s expensive but definitely worth every penny. Just make sure you dedicate at least 75 questions a day. Eventually I started doing two 75 question tests a day but this made me even more prepared for the 200 question test I anticipated on getting. Also be sure to buy a note book and take lots of notes. I felt as though I learned a lot from Uworld and I cannot imagine any other program allowing you to be as prepared as Uworld does. Don’t give up, you can pass this monstrous test just BUY UWORLD!
Yaysmeen,
A need before taking the Nclex-Rn
I heard about uworld from classmates and professors throughout nursing school. I never thought to purchase it until after graduating. A week after graduating, I bought uworld for 90 days so that I could get the two assessments. Throughout doing the questions, my results ranged from 40%-80% depending on the subject. I would read the amazing rationales and learn from the questions I got wrong. Fast forward to the day of the nclex. I felt like I was as prepared as one can be for a life changing exam. As soon as I saw the nclex I relaxed a little because the format is exactly like uworld. I went about the nclex as I would a uworld exam, using the techniques I learn from it. 75 questions and 48hrs later, I passed my nclex! As much as nursing school prepares you, they can only teach you so much. Uworld really breaks down for you what you need to know for the nclex. I am forever great-full and recommend all nursing students purchase it after graduation.
tribbsbb,
thank you
UWorld folks - can’t thank you enough. your program is so incredibly helpful. I was so anxious about prepping for the NCLEX but your questions and rationales are thoughtful, in depth AND digestible. Understanding more now than ever.

Two recommendation: option to answer questions by DISEASE, maybe? I’ve felt multiple times like that would be so helpful/when I wanted a more focused practice test (and when I need your amazing rationales) to review content I’ve just done some reading for or listened to a lecture on. Also it would be SWEET if you embedded a tag (that we could remove if we wanted) into the questions so we don’t necessarily have to make our own when making a flashcard? I didn’t realize that my flashcards wouldn’t be organized by topic automatically unless I created tags until I was about 200 flashcards in….

Other than that I love you and I am so grateful. (Wish me luck!)
