V.ALRT is a small wearable alert device that uses Bluetooth 4.0 LE (aka Bluetooth Smart) technology, and works in association with a smartphone application. V.ALRT will allow you to alert others in case of need, fall or risk to personal security. Stay safe, V.ALRT instructs the phone to send text messages and/or call your emergency contacts with one press of a button. Have peace of mind with the integrated fall detection that will send an alert even if you are unable to press the button. Transmit your location by using your phone's GPS to let family, friends or medical professionals find you.

A good idea but a privacy risk
I really like the keep it simple idea with this app and device but asking for access to my elderly moms contacts is a bit much. Why can’t I simply enter a number to call/text?

Too risky
Button won’t work unless the app is on screen. If phone is locked or app not running button doesn’t work, even with setting it up to run full time in the background. Useless! Too bad because this is exactly what we needed for mom.

Short lifespan
Device worked well for 90 days. After that unit would not stay connected to the phone, making it unreliable. Unit would drop connection even when it was within 2 feet. No confidence in the unit working when I need it.

This app would be much more effective if it were compatible with the Apple Watch.

Don’t buy this product!
I thought I was being clever, getting the latest technology. Little did I know that...
#1: I can’t open the damned disc to change the battery
#2: It keeps going off inadvertently, scaring my family members that are listed as contacts to death!
#3: It’s become virtually impossible to find a way to return it; not to mention getting it back to factory settings.
PLEASE choose an established brand.

Doesn’t appear to work with iOS 14 and new iPhones
This app is ancient doesn’t appear to work well with iOS 14 and new Apple phones like iPhone 11

Can you please add non spam mode option? Meaning it should only send the messages out once or twice; then turn itself off automatically
