Overall, the app does what it’s supposed to. I can preview my dash cam, change settings, and view/download video and events. I knocked off one star because the GPS does not work. For all videos, the map simply shows it centered on London, despite the video showing proper coordinates. I took off a second star for the overall poor UI. It’s not very polished, there are a lot of buttons that are vague and unintuitive, and occasionally there are pop ups written in Chinese. For the most part the functionality of the app is there, but it definitely needs some work for a smoother user experience.

Having to download every video just to see it is not good. I have other cameras. And all I have to do is touch the video I want to see and I see it on my phone. With this app or cameras I have to guess which video it is and if I’m wrong I have wasted time and I have to do it all over again. Also gps is wrong keeps showing I’m in London, England but I’m in the United States.

It is a nice way to control your Vantrue Dash Cam with Wifi. I use it for my E2 model.

The basic functionality is great. The app works as a remote control for your camera as long as you are in range (2m) and gives you easy access to all the camera settings which in my case is better to configure it on my phone than in the small screen in the dash cam.

What I found really great is that I can download the videos and photos to my cell phone, edit and share it from there without having to remove the micro SD or connect the dash cam to a PC.

In my opinion the look and feel in the App still need some improvement since it looks so crowded and the settings are not easy to tap.

Overall the app works well and is responsive. Some controls could be tweaked a bit to be more user friendly. I have found the customer service to be excellent. I had the same issue about London showing. They told me to turn off cellular data for the app and then it worked perfectly.

Camera is said to take great pictures video in all types of lighting and have a app to be able to use quickly and easily. I couldn’t tell you what kind of quality pictures it takes because I haven’t been able to get my phone to connect with the camera since I installed it. I was able to access the camera functions a couple of times a few weeks ago since the last update I cannot get connected with the Bluetooth 🤬🤬

It plays audio on the first video and then after that no audio on any videos you have to delete and re download the app, they playback fine on the camera E1 Lite just fine but yea the whole no audio thing is kinda annoying

You need to fix the non-connectivity with an iPhone to the camera WiFi when WIRELESS Appleplay is being used in your car. Right now the fix for this is to temporarily disable “ Use WiFi for phone projection” on your car while using the app.

Works good for me, I can access the dash cam recordings without taking out the SD card.

How in the world do you get away with such awful, unintuitive and buggy software? Who decided it was okay to release this way? Very difficult to connect to the camera, hardly practical to use after a traffic incident. Likely going to return the camera because of how terrible the software is.

I purchased the dash cam about three weeks ago.

I’ve had three weeks to work with this app and I love it.

Very intuitive easy to use and does exactly what you expected to do.

If I want to see a specific spot recorded I can go right to it, etc. definitely recommend.
