Life Saving App!! “De-Sharpen” is heaven sent!
I’ve downloaded and tried pretty much every single “professional” camera app out there and this was the only one that effortlessly bypassed that dang “auto enhance algorithm” nonsense - Oh yeah we all know know what I’m talking abt.
Taking Live Photos using this app with that “De-Sharpen” function on was such a bliss - finally an app that does the RAW Live photos justice!! No over saturation no over brightness no over contrast, everything remains natural, subtle, and beautiful — as they well should!!! This is gonna save all my future backlit photos /live photos from that over-processing nightmare, thank you!!!!!🥹🥹🥹Please, please, please keep this function until the end of time.
Also was able to seamlessly switch between different formats, including +ProRaw!! Soooo so much easier than going back to camera settings to turn on that “Apple ProRaw”. One more thing worth mentioning, the interface is super elegant and friendly as well!

The spitfire of camera apps
Varlens is an all-in-one camera app. You will be astounded by the number of features that are in this well designed application. It has both photo and video camera not found in many other video cameras. I’m especially found of the selection of filters that can be used while capturing and editing. The selection of frame rates cannot be found in any of the best video camera apps. Dig deep into Varlens and you won’t be dissapoibted. The subscription cost is more then reasonable. JohnnyAppseed

48MP only in manual mode
I thought the app sounded great and purchased it to take a few photos at a once in a lifetime car show. I was upset finding that all the photos were in 12mp. I contacted the customer service feedback and they replied that 48mp is only allowed in manual mode. I use the iPhone camera for quick shots mostly and don’t have the cognitive skills (I have 2 brain disabilities) to quickly adjust settings so I rely on automatic mode the majority of the time. The app seemed to be pretty decent especially with additions, and the subscription cost isn’t too bad for what you get. but I can’t justify keep paying a subscription fee for something that I won’t use all the time. If you can shoot manual then I would recommend taking a look at the app. If you just rely on auto, look at another camera app as you will be wasting the 48mp photos the iPhone can take.

Worth the yearly pay.
for those who claim that the 48 megapixel is only available in manual mode, remember that the manual mode also has an automatic mode within it. So you can put the app in manual mode, but leave the settings automatic and still have 48 megapixels to work with. It’s only when you start changing the settings within manual mode, that you have to start worrying about manual settings.

I am a first time ios user. I must’ve tried at least 20 different camera apps but they all had so much fluff and very little true substance. You guys nailed it! All I want & nothimore getting ih the way. btw i love that you support still photos capture, something else hard to find in other cam apps. Thanks so much!

Definitely not freeium.
My first impression was it’s free to download so I should be allowed a basic function that is still better than most other apps out there, but I was wrong here. I am fully allowed to use any of the functions but will not be able to save the contents I would have created without signing up for the pro. Which is decently priced. Once I get more into doing mobile photography and with an actual setup then I would utilize this app and test it and then I will update this review.

Interesting photo app, worth checking out
I’ve looked at a number of 3rd party photo apps and this is the first one I expect to use frequently. Good interface design and some different /useful features. I’m especially drawn to the Leica B&W and M10 filters, very nice results.

Photos are great but battery drains out very fast
Great photos and awesome filters. Even though I like photos so much, I have to go with 3 star due to battery issue. App drains the battery and phone will be hot after 20-30 min usage.
I feel we should have backup battery if we plan to spend half day outside and taking photos frequently. I am using 14Pro, not an issue with Phone camera.

If you could add lock an on record along with a LOG profile for both SDR & HDR as well as the ability to use the filters with HDR video this app would be close to perfect!
