This app simulates an analog film-reel camera.
There are some restrictions that don't exist in other video apps.
- The maximum length of the video is 20 seconds for the default black and white film, and 6 seconds for other films. You can extend all films to 5 minutes if you purchase the PRO version.
- You can only append a new recording after the previous recording. If you want to create a new recording from scratch, export the previous recording first, then delete it.
- You only have one film for each effect
With these limitations, your creativity is challenged. Some people export multiple footages then use iMovie to create a full-fledged movie. Find your ways to fully utilize this powerful and fun tool!

Good i like the way it performs but if it can catch more video record then i must say i llooovvee it and share more with others so that they can use this entrtaining and amazing app and get this app more viral .. so requesting u please would u make it more extend the recording so that we can go through our actions for more short period of time and get end our actions or whatever that complte the work nicely ... hope updated! 🙁😊

Almost there...
I really want to love this app. It just needs to provide the user with more control over the image. It would be great if we could decide how pronounced we want different effects like dust, scratches, soft focus, jitter, burn, etc. As it stands, the old film effect is too much for me. I’d like to use this app to gather a few fun shots at the weddings I film, but I think the 8mm look is a little too degraded for many purposes. Also, the ability to choose different film “stocks” would be fantastic! The developers should do some research in this area. I know it has different looks you can choose from, but I’m talking about providing choices that mimic actual 8mm film stocks. And while the developers are at it, they could make the interface look a lot more like a retro camera, just as icing on the cake. It’s too plain. This app definitely has potential!

GLITCH
paid for the pro version and it was working fine until the apps front camera decided to go upside down. i deleted the app hoping if i redownloaded it would fix the issue but the app asked me to PAY AGAIN. had to call apple support to refund my money. i tried downloading & paying for the pro version again and same thing happened. the front camera works for 5 minutes and then it goes upside down permanently. whats funny to me is that this app is $3.99 and the reviews have stated this glitch among other annoyances in this app and the developers have done absolutely nothing. if they dont come up with a fix within the week i will be calling apple support for another refund and i will not give this app another chance. $4 app is on the pricy side for you guys to do NOTHING to improve in months WOW, such a fun app ruined by laziness!

Great start
There is a lot to like so far! Hopefully future updates will allow for adjustments with film grain, stock, and film damage. I have been a longtime user of iSupr8, but since it has been discontinued I’m hoping this will become similar.
Update: Glad to see Dev added more options for grain and dirt. Unfortunately, I just realized that when exporting the quality is basically unusable for anything other then a novelty. Hoping for higher export resolutions and bitrate. I would really love to see this app shine!
Update 2: Developer added a few higher quality options but still really low bi-rate and resolutions. Details are very pixilated. I still have hope for the app, it has a lot to like just wish I could use the video for editing into other movies.

Great except for output resolution
I spent what is a lot of money on the pro version of this app. I love all the looks so have no complaints there. What is a total head scratcher is that the highest quality output is 960x640. In the age of 4k and above phones, how can an expensive app like this only output to standard resolution. Not only that but you can see jagged lines on anything that is diagonal. It’s a total shame because the aesthetic is amazing but the final quality makes it unusable for anything other than a tiny screen. I’d love to hear from the developer to see if there are any plans to up the quality. Another thing I’d like to see is the ability to create presets.

It’s good enough
Before I say anything the app is far from perfect but I’ve also had a lot of fun with apps I was disappointed so don’t worry I’m keeping this app but I’m a little upset that you have to pay 6 bucks just so the camera can face you meaning it’s really only good if you want to record somebody else or do somebody of puppet show all in all Half the things on there are only available on pro which makes it hard to record. I was actually gonna give a lower rating but then I read on the app that you were gonna make the pro option free then I got exited and decided to keep the app please don’t disappoint me.

Camera only catches a small square
When I first used the app it was great, my entire screen was capturing everything I was filming. Now all of a sudden three quarters of the screen is black and only a quarter of the screen is showing what the camera is pointed at. It is as if it is stuck in a perpetual zoom that can’t be undone. I’m supposed to shoot a movie using this app and now I am forced to use a different app to get the desired 8 mm effect. If this is fixed, I’ll definitely go back to using this, if not don’t waste your time.

Nothing ever changed from the free version I wanted the selfie feature and the ability to import videos from the camera roll which the pro is supposed to have.

Problem with re-download
You have to purchase the pro version to use the best features. I purchased the pro version and It worked fine (had some trouble with the video audio) but then I changed phones (keep in mind I still have the same apple account) and download it again. To my disappointment, it didn't remember that I actually spent money and had the pro version, so I guess I can't use it the way I did.

Awesome! (With a catch!)
This app is great if you want vintage videos on the fly but there’s just one problem, they want your money. You can apply all the filters they provide, which are all amazing, but they won’t let you do much else unless you pay for the full app. You can’t flip the camera view, import videos, or film over a few seconds unless you get the “Pro” version. So if you’re willing to go with what they provide, go right ahead, but I doubt it’ll be much different if you pay for it.
