Kystyn,
Love and Hate
I love these games. The "help" needs improving as does the puzzles section. I tried to open the crate with a master builder. She couldn't do it alone so I finished another master builder. Together they couldn't do it alone so I dragged in a master scientist. I guess because he came last, they needed an experienced builder. Algae in the ocean and not even a hint as what to do. Birds eating my crops even when three adults are planting crops. The help repeats the tutorial but no hints anywhere. I would pay for the game(s) but I don't like the inadequacy of the help and the non-information in the puzzle section. Ah...I'll probably buy the next one maybe.

Awesome but
I love it. Great game to play, super addicting, and my 7 yr old lil sis is practically begging me to play it. Only the tech point things are so expensive, and it's really hard to make babies. I'll give it 5 stars if you fix these problems!!!!!!

Love the Game, Hate the Version
First of all, I would like to say I love Virtual Villagers. I completed the first one a while back, so it was natural that I move on to the second one. And this is why the review has two stars instead of one.

However, when I started the second one, I was given all females and two males. But even that would've been okay if it weren't for the fact you have a max population of eight people! Therefore, I had to wait until all of my villagers were in their fifties before I could have another kid, and even then, it was a girl. So my villagers grew older, and I finally got them to have another kid, and guess what? It was a girl again. And after that, they got too old to HAVE kids, so I had to restart.

So I restart the game, and the SAME EXACT THING happens, only this time I get two females.

So this is a great game, but the population limit and uneven gender statistics make me so frustrated! Do not get this game, it isn't worth it. You can't complete the game!
Czairil,
Fun to frustrating!!!
I finally got it right at my 3rd village and mastered most of my techs except science and culture, got me an esteemed elder and now i have 1 woman and 6 dudes! I had to wait till one of the 7 guys died before i could get my woman to have more babies but now, she just may be too old? She WON'T HAVE ANY BABIES!!!! Therefore, once she's dead, it's game over. So it's very frustrating cuz i've gotten so far in the game... I don't think anyone's supposed to succeed on the free version... Not to mention.. My food was at 6000+ then flash flood brought it to 200... Smh..
Piedmont girl,
Dying generations.
This game is not really fun it's impossible to live every day I go on my villagers are dead virtual villagers 1,2,3,4and 5 Impossible. Bad game nothing to do just to watch people die! ItLeaves there a skeletons seriously you have to do that! When I have villagers fish they never catch fish and when the dumb things finally catch one it doesn't even count I wihenworried about food it's because of them not me! This game is the last day of work designers problem not mine!

VV2
I love this game. There is astounding graphics and a great music genre. The only thing is you can only have eight villagers and then you can not reproduce because every male is too old and the gender selection is uneven.
Ltepperson,
Good, but also Awful...
OK, this game is OK, I guess, but really? 8 people? Come ON. I know, it's to get you to PAY for a different version, of course. It's EXTREMELY difficult to keep everyone alive at first, food is... Gone very, VERY fast, and it gets frustrating. Don't get this game if you have anger issues, because it gets sooo annoying!
ilovethisgame12389,
Love it!
I really like this game but how do you get the coconuts? Or finish the hut? There needs to something that tells you how! Otherwise I really really really really really really really really like this game!
MigueltheSurvivor,
Help
This is a really cool game, but it takes a long time to play. I already got a baby but I only get 8 people. So now more people isn't allowed. Plus I need to wait 228minutes for the mom to work again. Other than that this is a really cool game. Don't know why people talk about these bugs.....
Pervasive,
5 star for the game, 1 star for this version
First and foremost, I love games like VV. I remember buying one of these games for the PC and it was fun. Imagine my surprise when I saw they were all free!

I decided to play two games at a time. VV took a while to get my village self sufficient, but I never had to restart. I restarted twice in VV2 because getting a self sufficient village was pretty simple.

Now, the gripe: in VV1, my village could hold 40 people.

But seriously? 8 person limit in VV2? Ridiculous. It already takes long enough to gain TP in VV1 with 40 villagers.
