No Longer Works
I have had the paid version for years and I loved it. Now it crashes all the time and when you tap ? for help a blank screen comes up that you can't get out of.

Crashes
Used to be my favorite VLC remote app but became unusable.

Mostly good, but...
I use this in church worship services to control click tracks on a host pc from the stage. It was working great for the most part, but before long it started frequently losing the connection to VLC. But it doesn't even realize it's lost the connection and try to correct the problem or anything. The app still responds, but the commands are delayed for minutes, and then the time readout fluctuates wildly. Wifi connection is still working perfectly, so either it's a problem with VLC itself or with this app. I haven't tried other apps to see if they have the same problem yet.

Absolutely amazing
I never do app reviews but I feel compelled to do one for this because of how useful and convenient this app is. I use a setup where I hook my tv to my computer so I can watch movies and this app is great if I want to sit in bed and control it.
It would be nice to have a slider for volume and a slider for playback if possible. Also it would be nice to have easier playlist control, like being able to rearrange the playlist and selecting multiple items for deletion. One of my favorite features is the folder navigation capabilities for creating playlists away from the computer. Overall this app is incredible, great job guys. I'm going to buy the ad free license just to support the further development of this app.

Great VLC remote
Probably the best VLC remote app out there. All the features you need in a remote are there, the setup is easy and unlike another VLC remote app that I tried, you don't need to have an application running on your computer to connect to VLC. I especially like being able to skip or rewind 5, 30, or 180 seconds with a single button.
The UI is decent, but could use some small improvements to speed up navigation. The developer is frequently adding new features and updates, so I'm sure the app will get better over time.
Overall, I really like the app and have paid for the ad-free version to support the developer.

Enhances VLC experience.
This has become my go to remote when using VLC because of all the common features that the native VLC players buries. It's especially useful when I'm watching files from my computer on my TV (no need to reach over to my computer to affect the slider, switch between files, etc.) Would give it 5 stars except for a bug that exists where the first skip back sometimes takes you back much further than you wanted. But aside from that, I still don't see another remote that is as feature-laden, comprehensive, convenient & intuititively laid out.
Overall, I'm a big fan of this particular app. Best VLC remote available IMHO. Nicely done.

Amazing Application!!!
This is by far the BEST VLC app on the market. It only gets even more amazing with every release. The developer provides excellent customer service and is highly responsive to any suggestions of improvement you may have. I HIGHLY recommend this app to everyone. And if you feel so inclined, support the dev by making the in-app purchase to remove ads, I know I have.
Oh and unlike all the other VLC apps in the market, this one does not require a single third party add-on to make it work. I hope everyone enjoys using the app as I have.
