Crashes often
Hi there, been a Voki fan for years! This app while awesome crashes when you press the play button after you hear the audio bit. Plus it took too long to “download characters” when they aren’t all free which makes no sense. There are so few that are free and I don’t see why they aren’t all free. It’s very frustrating.

Potential But Not Yet
This program has really great potential for use in a classroom. I was looking for something where children could create avatars and have them interact and this would be what I was looking for. However, it is not accessible with screen reader software and navigation of the online version seems overwhelming. Also, every time I opened the app it crashed, even after deleting and reinstalling.
In addition, it is not cost effective for teachers. It seems that the real value comes with the higher pay tiers. Well, how can you afford that on a teacher's sallary–especially in preschool–when we have so many other expenses.
Voki has tremendous possibility to transform the classroom but it is far from that day. Keep working on it. I'll keep watching.

I love the Voki program and I have used the website for years. The talking characters really engage students! I just recently tried the app and I was disappointed by the lack of characters to select from. The app does not offer any of the fairytale characters or the career characters. These were the two categories that I selected images from the most. I was disappointed that the selection on the website didn’t match the options on the app. One good change was a new feature allowing paying subscribers to download the videos. Now, my videos play automatically when inserted in a slideshow.

I fell in love with Voki when it was first got released; it keeps getting better, which I like...
I do think it can continue to get better. Here are some of the things I want as new features since my last review I noticed they are really listening:
1. I want to be able to move the avatar and position it anywhere I want.
2. I want to have more production features such as lighting features just like filming.
3. I want more freedom to animate the avatars
4. I want to be able to create sequences with my avatars.
5 I want to be able to make my avatar have dialogue with another avatar on the set .
Please work on some of those features

This app has potential but price is really high and also the promotional offer has issues. DO NOT buy it until they fix it.

Very disappointed
We are trying to use this app and website in class and it’s pretty much horrible. overall. a big fat 1 star from me. very disappointed in the service it provides and also how it glitches the phone and computer.

Nice basic app but it crashes a lot
App crashes after attempting recording playback. I have reinstalled it several times and even did a soft iPad reset and it still crashes. 👎🏻
