Version history

1.11.0
2023-01-20
Wellest is now more connected than ever. We expanded support for Apple Health to allow you to sync your weight updates and completed activities directly to Wellest so you never have to enter that data manually again and your plan will always be up to date.

We also added the ability to import recipes from the web so you can bring your favorites meals right to Wellest and have it help you figure out how much of them to eat and what to pair them with to achieve your goals.

To take full advantage of importing recipes, we improved the way Wellest suggests quantities of food to preserve the flavor profiles of your recipes as ingredients are scaled.

We also updated recipe and ingredient suggestions to prioritize foods you eat together at certain times as you build meals. The more you log, the more Wellest learns.

Have pizza every Friday night? No more scrolling on Friday night, it’ll be right at the top of the list for you to select.

Eat tortillas for breakfast burritos and lunch wraps? Add your tortilla and Wellest will know which ingredients to suggest next depending on time of day and the items you’ve already selected, saving you time and taps.

Check out the improvements in detail below and reach out to us via in-app chat to let us know what you think.

In addition, you’ll now find the Schedule tile on the Planner screen, containing an ‘at-a-glance’ overview of your day’s schedule and energy distribution.

1.10.3
2022-03-28
Wellest now includes a series of new visualizations to prioritize different aspects of your plan. On ‘Your Day’, there are new energy balance, nutrition, and activity focused views. Filling up the rings and progress bars will keep you on course to your goals. To monitor progress and plan for the week ahead, ‘Look Back’ and ‘Look Ahead’ reports were added as well. Explore them on the ‘Planner’ screen.

To complement the exploration into past, present, and future plan progress, we added a new goal graph throughout the app that shows the ETA, change in body measurements, and planned adjustments to energy balance from now until your goal.

We also updated the ingredient quantity entry to prioritize exact quantity logging, while keeping the Wellest AI recommended quantity one tap away. At any point, clear the quantity field and Wellest will suggest a quantity to meet your macronutrient targets for the meal you’re editing. Expand the auto-quantity controls to set additional restrictions on quantity for Wellest to consider.
eg. “I’d like to eat between 2 and 4 eggs for breakfast. What would be the best quantity?”

In addition, we created the ability to apply Wellest’s AI to deliver custom activity, energy, and nutrition protocols, instead of using the Wellest defaults. Reach out via in-app chat if you want to discuss applying a custom protocol to your plan.

Check out the improvements in detail below and reach out to us via in-app chat to let us know what you think.

Wellest now lets you take control of your schedule in advance so your plan can consider things you know you’ll do before making suggestions on what additional activity and nutrition you’ll need to accomplish your goals. Whether you ride your bike daily, eat the same thing for breakfast during the week, go for a walk on the weekends, or have a half marathon coming up in two weeks, you can now add those to your calendar with recurrent and future events and your plan will adapt as they approach.

We also added custom events for when meals and activities don’t cover what you want Wellest to consider when making your plan. You can set alerts for something you want to be reminded about or track completion of, like a daily supplement, or add events you want Wellest to consider when scheduling your plan, like your work schedule.

In addition, we added an availability feature to all events so you can let Wellest know if you’re free, busy, or partially free so it knows whether or not it can schedule overlapping meals and activities.

Putting all of these new tools together, you can now create a custom event, name it “Work”, set it to recur Monday through Friday, and let Wellest know you’re available to eat during those hours but not perform activity and Wellest will adapt your plan around your work schedule accordingly, potentially placing meals during your work hours but avoiding placing any activity during that time.

Check out the improvements in detail below and reach out to us via in-app chat to let us know what you think.

~ The Wellest Team

• Added the ability to decide whether Wellest is allowed to overlap events when scheduling your plan so you can let Wellest know things like you’re available eat during your work hours but not work out, so Wellest should avoid scheduling activities during that time but may schedule meals

Wellest now always solves your plan a week into the future and has optional check-ins. No more rigidity to planning, executing, or updating your plan.

Along with the new optional check-ins, you’ll find that ‘Check-In Day’ and ‘Getting Started’ tasks are now in a separate area so they’re at the ready but won’t clutter your daily execution while you find time to complete them.

We also added charts to visualize changes in your body measurements and composition. Tap on any measurement throughout the app to explore your progress.

In addition, we added support for alcohol tracking. Add alcohol to a meal as you would any other ingredient and Wellest will adapt your plan to keep you on course. Can’t find your favorite beverage? Add it as a custom ingredient or send us an ingredient request via in-app chat.

We also added the ability to review changes over time for calculated measurements like Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR), Body Fat (BF), and Fat-Free Mass Index (FFMI). To access these new screens we added the ability to tap on any measurement throughout the app, calculated or user-provided, to learn more about that measurement.

We also expanded our supported activities list and updated their Metabolic Equivalent of Task (MET) values so you can more accurately plan or record energy burned during an activity.

Fixes

• Fixed a migration error that may have caused historic calendar data loss (events and their completion status) for some users in previous releases.
• Fixed a situation where ‘Superhuman’ goal point was different on the goal setting card than the goal setting selection modal for some users.

1.9.26

~ The Wellest Team

Notable Improvements
———
• Meals now attempt to fit any ingredients or recipes you select or modify to your nutrition targets. If the selections do not fit precisely, the quantities will be set to make them fit as closely as possible and when marking a meal complete, any missed targets will be balanced across other plan meals.
• Added educational cards throughout the app on screens and at times when important actions are required and additional context may be beneficial.
• When setting or updating a goal, an overview of your plan to reach your goal points is now presented.
• Ingredient search now shows recently and frequently ingredients that you’ve added or edited in your meals.

Additional Improvements
———
• When meals are Invalid due to conflicting Nutrition restrictions, a message will be shown indicating which ingredient and which restriction are in conflict
• Improved logic for managing maximum meal size to consider food density and volume.
• Any ingredient may now be specified in pounds ounces
• Any ingredient may now be specified in partial decimal quantities
• Macronutrients are now shown in partial decimal quantities for increased precision and clarity.
• Ingredients are shown in the ‘Unit of Measure’ selected instead of defaulting to grams (eg. 1/2 Apple, Whole)
• Switching ‘Unit of Measure’ for an ingredient automatically converts to an equivalent quantity in the new ‘Unit of Measure’ (eg. 4 Apple, Slices = 1/2 Apple, Whole )
• Nutrition rings on meals now show the tentatively planned solution before they’re complete instead of the percentage of the minimum nutritional targets for a meal.
• Enhanced ingredient search to support non-latin characters and iOS specific unicode searches.
• Improved plan update behavior to avoid making small changes to the plan that while mathematically optimal are unnecessarily small (eg. Moving the scheduled time of meals by 1 minute)

Fixes
———
• Fixed situation for some users to prevent unexpected large meals or long activities added near the end of a plan period from prescribing equally large meals or long activities to counterbalance them.
• Fixed lock behavior for recipes so that it does not lock individual ingredients, but rather it locks the particular recipe in place during plan updates, whether the ingredients are locked or unlocked.
• Fixed meals so they attempt to auto-solve when a user unlocks a previously locked ingredient using the lock icon on the meal screen.

ullom17,
Your wellness on autopilot is about as accurate as you can be
I’ve struggled in the past with diets and having a workout regimen. Wellest helps with both by setting a schedule and diet while monitoring your progress. The diet planning is especially flexible and allows you to eat what you want while also suggesting the most optimal options for you. Want a cookie? Eat that cookie! But also tell Wellest so it can account for that with your next workout. How much easier can it get? Plus, they continue to release new features and I’m excited to see what is to come!
