Rocky Start, but works fine now
After the Update credits and contacts disappeared. Contacted customer support via email on a weekend and got a response within a few hours! Wow! While customer support was responsive and helpful, it unfortunately took multiple tries and about 2 weeks before the suggested solutions worked and my credits reappeared. 😒The graphics don‘t Display correctly, but calling works fine. Used it while traveling in India and Germany without issues.
Call quality somewhat variable, but typically good. Overall easy to use and great value. Definitely would recommend.

Great service at very reasonable price
Great service at reasonable price. The challenge is that you need to refill it otherwise you can lose a call in the middle is you don’t have enough funds. The app is very easy to use, and the directory is nice. If you are using it, and someone calls you via movie line, then you lose your call, but if you hang up on the upcoming call, then you get back to the We Phone call you were in. Another minor issue is that if the line I am calling is busy, then the app does not let you know , it just doesn’t get the call in, you may think it is not working, but it is, the problem is that people in the other side are using the line. Overall, this is great service and I fully recommended.

Great calls from USA to France
I haven’t had issues with this app. I been using it over the years to call my relatives in France. I like the free credit we get for checking-in. I updated the app recently and didn’t have issues with our credit transferring. I haven’t done a comparison but I think rates are nice and low. The only thing I’m a little confused about is that I have WePhone installed on my iPad and when my mom had her own iPad I wanted her to share the account with me. I didn’t realize but I installed WeTalk Pro on her tablet and it seems to work exactly same as WePhone. Our credit shows up the same so it’s same account but I guess different app name.

Can’t view videos
App seems pretty good but can’t see videos and most messages come in as a link as well need to work on that mixed up letters and all… there is no resend button adding that on will be ver perfect don’t have to delete an unsent message to send again, also contacts still show up with numbers when notifications appear no that isn’t what we won’t work on something to just display the contacts and not with the number you know what I mean… lastly a reaction button to be able to react it messages sent too, and oh don’t forget to improve to affordable yearly plans, apart from these I love the app 😙

Update caused loss of credits BUT WEPHONE made it RIGGT!
I updated my phone to the new iOS 12 and it appeared that I had lost all of my credits… I emailed in the area of where you give feedback and there was good communication between myself and Customer Service! After explaining what happened, my account was reinstated with all the credits that I had had prior to the update. Many people have reviewed this situation as a scam, but it is not, all you have to do is communicate! I recommend Wephone highly!!!!

DO NOT UPDATE
This app did come in handy if worse comes to worse and you need to make a long distance call but even then there are still ways around long distance calls that won’t charge you much or anything at all... I’ve gotten this app and put 10-20$ at a time to keep as a balance... the first time it asked me to update I did and it cleared my remaining balance of almost 20$ that I paid for.... Then again I tried using the app and it asked me to upgrade again... if you cancel the update notification it closes you out of the app so again, I updated and lost 8$ of my remaining balance... moral of the story, this app barely works and takes your money! Don’t bother with it or only put an amount that you think you will use in one phone session.

Great cheap app
This app allows me to make international calls through WiFi for extremely low prices. I don’t use the texting but I like how I can change my phone number if I want, although I have my actual phone number verified. The international calling is clear and the quality is quite good. Definitely recommend this app for travelers or anyone who pays for calling minutes through their cell phone provider.

Eh... Yet to be seen following update
REVISED from 1 star to 3 due to a support response/fix but Very poor communication after a forced update, where credits disappeared as well as the watch videos for credit feature. Finally after about 4 days I received a response saying I needed to login with my email and then my credits would reappear. About two or three years later, the watch videos for credit feature also reappeared. Havent made calls yet after the update. Try being proactive and communicating with users next time and avoid poor ratings. But then developers are never proactive or know how to communicate...

Has worked well for me for several years.
When I first got an iPad in 2016, I put $5.00 on my WePhone account, and since they give you free coin every day for watching a 5-30 second ad, I’ve never spent another penny since. Once, when I traveled to Europe a few years ago, I called home (USA) using my WePhone app. I just needed a wi-fi connection, which I had at my hotel.

I am using this app for a couple of years, calling from the United States to Europe and the Middle East. when I had to download the new updated version my credit that I purchased at the previous app hasn’t been transferred to the new version.
