Yay! Finally an app!
I had become used to listening to KJZZ’s app when I was living in Phoenix and was disappointed that WFYI didn’t have one. Then, there it was😃 Love it!
I took away a star since my original rating. As someone else has mentioned, the support ads keep repeating, sometimes every minute or so...very annoying. This was not an issue with the KJZZ app.

Love my news station!
Love listening so much that I needed to stay connected after getting out of my car! This does the job.

Why interruptions?
The app works well, but I don’t appreciate interrupting the news to run ads. NPR and other programs allow time for that. We have moved from North Carolina where we had WUNC and I listened daily to their app. They never interrupted the program but worked it in during the breaks. Please adjust that!

Love my 90.1 radio
I primarily use this app to listen to 90.1 FM and it is really good. I used to carry an FM radio with me all the time and with this app I got rid of the radio.

Great app when I’m at home
I love this app and the ability to access passport which gives me options to view so many PBS programs. What is disheartening is that I cannot get it to work when I’m not in my home. I can’t view Any programming when I’m at the gym for example

Buy a radio
This app crashes, rewinds randomly and gets stuck repeating ads.
I have used the app for years and it is currently the least stable it has ever been.
Check back in a few months folks, you’ll just be disappointed today.

Ads play in middle of interesting stories
The app works better than it used to. But a few times an hour a sponsorship ad interrupts the broadcast and usually right in the middle of a really good story. Can these be timed to coincide with the usual sponsor shoutouts?

Would love an ad-free option
I’d be willing to pay for an ad-free version. At the very least, please cut down on ad interruptions. It’s maddening to be listening to a piece, only to lose a big chunk of it to an I just heard 9 minutes prior.

I wanted a wfyi app, not another PRI/NPR/PBS app.
I’m happy there is more wfyi in the innernets but this is missing all local radio shows. A IWIR that i don’t have to crank the volume on, a cultural manifesto I can skip around in, *a local nescast*... why are they missing from the thing a fan of the station would download it for?
