I used to have to wait over an hour for the bus to arrive some days it was early most days it was extremely late other days I was frantic wondering what was going on constantly having to call transportation now I have an idea of when the bus is going to arrive I just wished it was like the bus app used in Collier County Florida It let you know what time your child boarded the bus and what time the bus dropped your child off at because sometimes it’s confusing and I’m not sure if the bus has come or is running late from the previous school it just shows you the location of the bus not telling you if your child is already on the bus other than that I 100% love It

While a terrific idea and much needed tool, the interface looks like it was written for a kindergartner, almost cartoonish. The most annoying thing is the map continues to resize after zooming on the location of the bus. Is the App called "Where's my house and the Bus?" No, it is called "Where's the Bus?" So concentrate on the position of the bus and allow me to zoom in and stay zoomed in. The tag on the bus icon updates with the distance. That's all I need to know. The next annoying thing is the displayed distance appears to be from the bus to my house and it should be from the bus to the bus stop. Please fix these three issues and you will have a far better app.
Update: 01Sep21- Attempted to use the app while waiting for bus. The app opens to a splash screen and does nothing else. After 30 I closed the app and reopened with same results. On fifth time the map appeared and showed the bus progress. 1.3 miles away the progress stopped. The screen was frozen and moments later the bus arrived. Maybe ex hurricane Ida is to blame. Or maybe it's as others described and the backend servers are deficient.

Update: information finally updated and worked for a few days but then inexplicably reverted to the incorrect route for one child and changed the stops on the map to two and three neighborhoods over for the other (all while showing correct info in the “account” section). I give up.

Great idea and very useful if I could get my kids’ info updated. Sending a correction through the app “email” doesn’t seem to get there. The information doesn’t sync between what’s on the app and what’s on the desktop version. And there’s no way to log out of the app, other than delete-reinstall-sign in. This only sometimes refreshes the rider information anyway. One bus route on the map finally changed somehow, but when I look at the rider information they are both still the old numbers (yep: 2 riders, 4 route numbers appear in the app and only 1 is correct….). Would love to be able to actually use this app.

Excellent except the won't pick up my granddaughter in front if my house which is 5 houses from the corner and there are no other children standing there with her which I'm afraid she could be kidnapped. The problem is I have another granddaughter getting on her bus at the same time and cant be by both places at the same time . I wouldn't be worried if there were other children at the corner with her. Both buses come At 7:15 and one stops in front of my house and the other one doesn't

I hope so developers adopt a way to track an actual route on eta on the arrival to scheduled bus stop as well as destination of school. It does give location of bus but if bus is running late or early you can’t see if you have missed bus or should keep waiting. The way the bus moves across the map it doesn’t give any detail as to when it will arrive to you, or where it is in relation to its actual route. Just take example Lyft or Uber - they are give arrival notification, route specifics, and a notification when someone has been actually picked up or arrive at destination. I think these should be considered because of how precious the cargo is.

people here are doing a lot of complaining about what the app is lacking or doing wrong. all the complaints i’ve read are legitimate, just focused on the wrong party as the culprit.

the app is only as good/accurate as the data about your kids provided by your school district. most of the time the source is your child’s school, then handed to the transportation department, then handed to the “where’s the bus” people.

i can tell you we have had a lot of things wrong with the data on our family, almost always from the source, the front office of the school. districts may vary on that policy, but that’s how ours is. no matter, the fix was simple.

multiple homes, buses, and bus stops DO work! if the data is wrong call transportation. they see this all the time and can usually sort out the mess they were handed in a day or two.

It’s a crazy time for school buses with lack of drivers. Our sons bus is often delayed an hour or more and more than half the time, notifications aren’t sent out. This app makes it so much easier to judge when we have to go to the bus stop or if we should simply pick our child up from school instead of having him wait two hours after the day is over for his bus.

I love that we have the ability to see where the bus is. It’s a peace of mind but also very convenient as a working mom to time when I leave my son whereas before I would get to the stop and just be waiting unsure of how much time I had, stressing about how long I’d be out of work. Very grateful for todays technology and everyone in the school system working to keep our babies safe and make school related things easily accessible.

This app is a parents dream come true!!
Before this it was hard to know when exactly to go outside the house. Or if we’re already outside waiting and the wait is longer than usual. Here, there’s a live map showing you where your bus is. And when it’s eta is 1 minutes out…. I get my sons coat on. When it’s “approaching” … we go outside and walk down the driveway to meet the bus right as it’s pulling up. I love this app!!

This app is very helpful. My son is 6 and his bus drop’s him off on a major road and can not walk home alone so this app lets me know when he is close cause his bus has come at all different times sometimes It comes to early and I have also waited 30 mins not knowing where he was. I also have an apple AirTag but it sometimes doesn’t update his location for minutes so This app gives me a better time frame
