This lets us add new things without shipping a new version of the app. Coolbeans!
But the flip side is that sometimes we ship versions of the app that have no new features, but actually enable new functionality that we'll turn on when we're ready. So officially this app HAS NO NEW FEATURES! But unofficially, it has a secret feature that will suddenly just appear when we flick a switch on the server.
