Helpful and amusing
Useful info is presented via creative writing, and overall, everything here is great. There are a few UI foibles (as an example, it's not always immediately obvious which tab is selected in some of the tools), and I agree with another reviewer that the ability to read daily tips on the Watch or even on the on-screen alert on the phone would be welcome.
Well worth the cost to buy, and I've already recommended it to other expecting fathers.
ElMexicanMorrison,
First time Dad, loved the sleek design.
Can’t say enough good things about this app, I got compliments on my involvement in the process but this app can take some of the credit I was always up to date on what was happening and what was coming around the bend. I don’t usually rate apps, but this one earned it. It caters to first time parents but I’m sure it would benefit anyone having a child. As for the look and feel it’s minimal, and to the point, your significant other will be bombarded with information and will relay that to you, but as a guy, I just need to now what to do and when to do it. This app is great for that
girl dad vibes,
Fantasize app, just needs a UI update
Love the creativity and use of this app. The tips, both daily and weekly are really well thoughtful and kept me in the good graces of my wife for months.

This app could easily earn a 5 star but the contraction timer (and a few other features mentioned in other reviews) is terrible. The star/stop button is VERY unclear, I can’t fix any errors, and the log isn’t very help when contractions are going over a few days.

if you make A few updates and I would love to update my review for the next kid!
KingZope,
Not really that useful.
I’m a first Time Dad and I downloaded this app and one for the mother. The one for the mother is loaded with information that helps me as well. I can at least get good insight into what my wife is dealing with and we look at the app together. This one rarely has anything useful and it’s tips appear to be written by a feminist or something. Pretty much every daily tip is give your wife a massage, cook for her, clean the house, etc. I mean i guess if you’re some kind of garbage husband that does nothing this would maybe help but come on. The app feels like it’s nagging me.

As an example here are my daily tips.
Whosyourdaddy: buy her flowers
Female app: got metal mouth? Citrus fruits or vinegar and make it go away.

One is extremely helpful and I would never know it. The other is not.

Seriously though, please add some pregnancy related tips to the daily tips. Something like make your wife ginger tea or nows a good time to look into a body pillow to help her at night.
Aiglesiasn,
Really helpful
This app was a good companion during the time we were expecting our daughter. For both of us Friday’s had a special taste because the app updated the baby information as a new week started. The tips were funny, but the most useful feature was when the app told me that I should be more patient with my wife, and to put my guard up if I red any mood changes from her, so this made her love the app as well.
Eric "the" Dad,
Best App Ever...for Dad-To-Be...or all time
Loved this app from start to finish! The daily and weekly tips helped make me a rock star in Mommy's eyes. The weekly updates were so much fun. Power tools, animals, beer...all were ways of describing baby's size. Other apps, they used fruit..and more fruit...lame. The multiple hospital bag lists helped us prep 100% and the contraction timer was awesome on day of. I loved it. My wife loved it. Will absolutely use for #2...down the line.
Happy Scanner,
Fun and stress-relieving
I used this app a year ago for our first baby and loved it. Why? Because it’s funny, informative and, frankly, helped make the pregnancy process fun, real, and just a bit less stressful. Every dad-to-be should have this app.
3 days ago we found out that we’re going to have a baby again. I dug our the app, and it’s already making me smile. Thank you!
Sepmor,
Not worth the price
The app doesn’t allow for multiples, and we’re going to have twins. Daily tips are sappy, annoying and useless; they all basically say be a descent partner. The weekly tips are a bit better, but you can find the information for free on dozens of websites. The only part of the app I found useful is the hospital bag checklist, which was already given to us by our doctor. For a paid app, I expected more information and more capabilities. For expecting fathers who are excited to read and see cute baby stuff, this is a good app. I personally want more pregnancy-related science.
tommy fulf,
Looks good from afar, but is far from good
As an excited, expecting dad, I reviewed and googled and researched all the apps online I could find, and this one kept popping up on “top 5” or “what’s cool” lists. Let me tell you unequivocally: It’s not cool. It’s medically inaccurate, outdated for anyone with a phone newer than an iPhone 6, and it’s “timeline” feature seems like it’s wildly out of synch with biological reality. I’ll admit this app has irreverent humor and a down-to-earth tone, but, boy, do they need to update the actual substance and accuracy of the info they provide, and update the app itself. It’s dated. A poor use of $3 on my part.
GuyNamedSteve,
Some helpful features but not worth the money
The countdown and planner are semi helpful. But overall the app is a disappointment. There's not much out there in the way of helpful information for expecting father's, I was hoping this app would be different considering the premium it charges. So if you're considering this app, don't expect a lot of helpful content. While I appreciate a good joke, I didn't buy this app for humor. The daily tips you get from this app are similar to "Dont make a beep, beep, beep, noise when your wife backs up".
