WFA Pocket is a mobile app that embodies the latest wildland fire behavior science into a robust tool for the firefighter and Fire Behavior Analyst. Leveraging the science developed by the US Forest Service Missoula Fire Sciences Lab, this app enhances calculations with a 3D interactive map interface, real-time weather integration, and seamless fuels data assimilation.

WFA Pocket uses concepts and formulas developed by the US Forest Service Missoula Fire Sciences Lab to perform fire behavior calculations. It is a culmination of the wonderful science made possible by the work of applied wildfire scientists and wildland firefighters across the world. WFA Pocket compiles knowledge gained from the five-plus decades of applied research on wildfire behavior, and is intended to serve as a companion to the Fire Behavior Field Reference Guide (PMS 437).

Great simple fire behavior app
I too would like to email a report from the app show inputs and outputs for documentation. Also, export of the fire perimeters in kml(Google Earth) format would be a great addition. Maybe a future update could use the UCSD open source API, to run a predicted Perimeter such as those created using FARSITE modeling.
Then select basic surface model (current state) or FARSITE model. UCSD map application is called WIFIRE, but appears to be California only at this time.

Great app
I really like this app. Great making modeling accessible and easy to use. Since I work for a government agency I would like it even better if I could email the results to myself for documentation. I apologize if it has that capability and I have missed it

Not part of the firefighters family, but find this app very educational regarding wildfires and the various factors that effect its spread.
