For the cost of this monitor there absolutely needs to be more attention given to its app development. No updates for almost 2 years (March 31, 2014).
I reached out to Withings and asked them about the app and they confessed that they have no current plans to update the app...
My biggest issue is connectivity problems. The inconsistency is annoying to deal with, having to restart and reset the camera to rectify.
Another issue for me
Is the lack of manual control over the features of this camera. For instance: brightness, contrast, night vision on/off, audio mute, audio AirPlay to Bluetooth device.
There are times where the camera will fluctuate between Night Vision and normal operation in situations where night vision is obviously necessary.
Another issue I've encountered is with the notification thresholds. I'm constantly notified for temperature changes that aren't actually happening and are reporting within the range I've specified. Have had to disable temperature notifications.
The camera/video quality is just OK, I've had better quality and functionality from other, much cheaper, WiFi cameras. I bought Withings' camera because I wanted to avert routing my video stream through China, as some manufacturers do, and go a more trusted route.
I'll contact support about these issues, but I think it's only honest that you know these things are happening before you spend a bunch of time and money.

Each time Withings updates this app something else goes haywire. I was an early adaptor to this product about two years ago when the app worked flawlessly. Since that time this product has become completely unreliable at best. The bottom line is that some people have absolutely no issues and they have a wonderful product. Others have a very expensive paper weight. I have been on both sides for quite sometime now and I could not recommend this product to any parent in good faith, it just isn't reliable! Whether it's connection issues or alerts not going off or going off at the incorrect time you can never feel at ease. The next issue is that Withings has been completely unresponsive to repeated pleas for help correcting these issues. Once again some people get a response from them and others like myself never get any response. There are other monitors out there that do a much better job, I unfortunately am stuck with them as I have a large amount of money sunk into two monitors that use to work great. Good luck to all those who in a similar situation, maybe one day the monitor and app will work again.

We love this monitor, no problems...
Wow, I'm stunned to read some of the poor reviews. We've had a few (less than 10) times that monitoring was disconnected in 18 months. The alerts got to be a little incessant until we figured out that we can edit/control the threshold sensitivity that generates an alert. You can ask it to alert you if there is low volume noise that lasts for 30 secs....or loud noise for 15 secs, or the humidity gets low...
You can change the music & its volume, or the nightlight and its brightness and color...or speak to your baby. The girls that help us with our kids all use it right from their cell phones and we can restrict their access when they are not here. Although it's not designed for this purpose, we have 1 grandparent that lives 800 miles away and we can tell her when we have all 3 playing in the baby's room and she can get a live glimpse at them if she just wants to see them.

Mostly does the job
Don't count on this as your only monitor if you can't hear the baby without it. It has a bad habit of dropping even when it's connection and the phone's connection are both good. It has no alert when this happens. The other alerts seem flaky at best.
It does allow you to look in on the little one, and my toddler loves the lights and music it produces. We use it daily.
With the iOS 10.1 update, I'm seeing warnings that this app needs to be updated or it will slow down my phone. It clearly hasn't been updated even for screen size in a long time. Seems to be abandonware at this point. It's a shame a company still producing products in this area would abandon one like this.

Latest update broke the monitor
I've been using my wings baby monitor for the past 17 months and have LOVED it. I have recommend it to everyone I know who is having a baby because it is so amazing. Until this most recent update.
I don't know what bug fixes they addressed with it but they have utterly ruined the app. Being able to actually view video on it is hit or miss now, about 70% of the time it fails and says it can't connect to the monitor. No video, audio, stats, or alerts. Nothing. It's completely useless. Between 4 iPads, 2 iPhones, and a computer only one device could get the video feed. Another day different devices could connect while others failed. There is no rhyme or reason to which devices can connect at any given time or when they can connect.
My amazing baby monitor has become a huge frustration and causes me a significant amount of grief now because I cannot consistently monitor my son when I want to. This app needs some serious revision.

Too many issues...
I will update my rating and review when Withings fixes the major issues with their monitor/app.
- the monitor (hardware) seems great and probably rarely has any issues that are not associated to the software.
- the app barely gets by, but at the end of the day is awful.
- I still have some hope, if Withings does some stuff correctly it would definitely be the best product on the market.
Problems:
- sending wifi settings to monitor rarely works properly. I either have to use bluetooth, or Ethernet.
- you hear the audio from the monitor on your phone permanently. Doesn't matter if the mute switch is on/off. There is no way to turn it off. Only thing is to turn down phone volume. very bad design.
- you cannot view the camera without having monitoring notifications enabled (unless you manually disable each one)
- view/zoom starts more zoomed in that you would like.
- you cannot hide the controls from the camera view.
- there is no decent way to view a chart/graph of the monitoring data. No export. No webview.
- as long as the monitor has power, apparently there is no way to fully turn it off?
- no option to play your own music through the monitor, or upload a song to the monitor.
- the app interface is fairly fluid, but there are some minor adjustments that could make it easier to navigate/use.

Don’t get the bad reviews! It’s been perfect for me!
I bought the monitor to keep an eye on our dogs and monitor the temp. in our RV. Then I read the reviews on the app and freaked. Well, I downloaded anyway to see what happened……….it’s been perfect, not one single problem. I do not understand what all the negative review are about, unless maybe from a competing company?? I love this thing, the app launches very quickly (way faster than my IZON!) and I have double checked the temperature readings as well. They are pretty accurate. So, for me, this is exactly what I have been looking for and it works like a charm.

Worked great but now it doesn't
Please please please fix this app. It is an expensive device that we were willing to pay for because we thought it would bring us piece of mind when it came to our first baby. It worked great at first. But we haven't had an alert in over 3 weeks. We have spent weeks on email tech support (bc there is no phone support) begging them to do something to help us. Something on this monitor/app that is not working. 90%of the time it's the push notifications. Luckily I can wake up from a dead sleep when my baby is really crying and I can hear him down the hall, but how would I know how long he has been crying? Please fix this. We have been so upset over this issue and the poor customer support. :(

few updates and fewer options
this monitor like many have said here seemed promising at first but suffers from a lack of updates. it needs more music options ie the ability to select your tunes vs the few cliche choices it offers in its menu. it truly needs a option to adjust brightness and contrast as sometimes the infrared picture just looks like a puzzling black & white mess. and new user interface in the app itself, ie why is it when you select a music tune can you only tell that selection from hearing it an not see a visual marker showing what is selected??? if this monitor lacked it bluetooth ability and temp monitor i would just have bought another monitor for less money. WITHINGS DESIGNERS PLEASE READ THE COMMENTS HEAR AND FIX THIS APP! at this point you get a 1 star for horrible customer service.

Works as advertised!
I have had this camera and have been using this app for at least 6 months. I have never had any of the issues that other reviewers have had, and have even used it when I am out of the country (both from the web interface and the iPhone/iPad apps) without an issue.
I have recently gotten the apple watch, and I hope that there will be an update to the app giving it apple watch support as they have with the within go home camera.
This is the best camera on the market bar none!
