WONDERWORD first entered syndication in Edmonton and Montreal in 1970. Andrews McMeel Syndication of Kansas City assumed syndication rights in 1980. It appears in 2 formats: A 15 x 15 grid Monday through Saturday and 20 x 20 for Sunday editions. For space reasons, some Sunday newspapers carry a 15 x 15 version under the name of TELEWORD.
WONDERWORD was created by Canadian author Jo Ouellet, and starting in 1980, David Ouellet started helping his mother in the creation of the puzzles. By 1984 David was creating the majority of WONDERWORDs, and his name appeared as co-author in 1994. After Jo Ouellet's untimely passing in 1997, David continued the feature.
In all formats, it appears in some 250 newspapers around the world.

I enjoy this puzzle games and briefly enjoyed doing them in my local newspaper before cancelling my subscription. There are physical books to help satiated the need to solve the puzzle while offline but one and down. While this app does update on a fairly regular basis, having an archive would be nice to have while waiting for new puzzles to upload. I would give 3.5/5 (too bad there’s no half star options)

I love WONDERWORD and...
I am a huge fan of this game. The app is OK. There seems to be only a single puzzle that you have access to at any given time. New puzzles are uploaded Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. There is no content library.
I will speak for myself, but I would pay $$ for no ads and a full content library that was updated with new puzzles daily.
I realize these puzzles are still built by hand, but still - I think there is a market for it. I’ve been playing this game for years and have turned my nieces and nephews on to it now, too!

Review
I like WONDERWORD a lot used to play it every day in the newspaper. I have the app on my iPad for a few months. My problem is that it will not open. I just see the little thinking circle.

Don't waste your time
The app is just like in the paper so I was excited to download it as I loved it in the paper, Highly disappointed. First tried on my galaxy 9+ and it cuts off 3 of the 15 columns. I contacted the company and after asking for a screen shot they told me there are"too many phones". So I tried it on my iPad and the grid is maybe 1x1"...bearly big enough to see the letters but WAY too small to circle any words. Other apps have auto size figured out don't know why they couldn't. Big disappointment!

Needs more content
I’ve loved WONDERWORD for 20+ years and owned several of their books. They need to add more content to the app! You finish a puzzle (in 5? 10? minutes) and have to wait two days for another? Make in app
purchases available! I’d spend $2.99 for another 10 puzzles. Have several additional “packs” for purchase and you could
make a fortune!

Have always loved WONDERWORD and love the app
I have enjoyed WONDERWORD for many years and was glad to see the app. If I had the option of more than just Monday, Wednesday, Friday, I would play out to much! Works fine on my iPhone. Won’t work on my iPad though? Would like the larger screen.

Cannot launch app
I love Wonder Word! My mom has the actual booklet series at home. I wanted an app version to play on the go but the app will not launch. I downloaded it but when I go to open up the app the circle just keeps spinning like it’s loading. I deleted it and downloaded it again but it did the same thing. I tried this several times. 🤷🏽♀️

One of my favorites.
I only wish they would give me a game a day. It’s free but I would buy this game if they provided more puzzles. Still I look forward to the 3 a week I get.

I’ve being doing WonderWord for many years. Just downloaded app. Now I can do puzzles anywhere.

WONDERWORD
I downloaded the app but I have never been able to open the app on my iPhone or my iPad. I’m not sure what the problem is. I love playing WONDERWORD from the newspaper but we are going to have to stop getting the e-edition due to the increased cost. I was so excited to see there was an app. I hope you will be able to assist me.
