Tired of National Complaining,
Fun, but…
It’s a fun and challenging game, but some of the words are SO obscure - especially if you’re not a Brit (lol). “Oasts”? “Suint”? I guess you might know those if you’re a sheep farmer who brews their own beer?? Update: The dictionary update seems to be helping- not nearly as many “out there” words. Updating to 4 stars. Second update: wow! A developer who actually works on making updates based on user reviews! Now you can choose a setting for “common words” or “all words”. (“All words is really challenging if you are a Scrabble dictionary officianado. 😉) I’m updating to 5 stars- I really enjoy playing this game. I’m sure ads will kick in eventually, but I think it’s worth sitting through a few ads - it’s just like playing the daily “Wordle” game!
Dear developer, the update to the design is lovely, however would you please make it possible to choose either the black screen or the white screen? I love playing your app, but I have epilepsy and literally cannot read letters on a black screen. I know there are other people with a similar problem, so it would be wonderful if we could choose. Thanks!

Sometimes fun, sometimes frustrating
I don’t understand why this game sometimes resets/refreshes and clears the board when you’re in the middle of trying to solve the puzzle. There is no countdown timer, and at times it will stay up without changing for quite a while. I have never timed it, per se but there is quite a bit of inconsistency in how long you might have to solve the each puzzle. I have enjoyed it for a couple of months, but I am looking for a similar but different game, because it’s really annoying to spend time solving a puzzle and then have the whole thing reset, without seeing any kind of countdown timer or anything. Also, FYI, if you are working on a puzzle and close the window, it does not save your progress-It just resets the puzzle.

Meh Wordle imitation
Meh Wordle imitation, no stats options, and a bug will tell you that a word has a double letter when it doesn’t. For example, if the correct word is “STARE” and you enter “STEER” the program will tell you that you have two green letters and three blue letters instead of two and two. The developer response doesn’t address this. After you win a game, a pop-up blocks the middle of the board, so you can’t do a screenshot. One solution is AUXIN. Another BISPS, which I got only because “WISPS” was wrong, and I had to try every letter for the missing first letter combination before the game told me I won because I had finally guess a nonexistent word not in the dictionary. I lost a long streak to “BAMPS,” which isn’t in the dictionary. (Plurals are definitely over represented.) I’m about to lose another game to a word that isn’t in the dictionary: I have *I**I but there is no ACDEJLNORSTVY, and even if I cheat with a crossword puzzle solver, it can’t identify any possible words. Clearly no one tested this, but the price is right. Better than the other Wordle knockoff, but I’m guessing someone will do something even better within the next couple of weeks.

Good basic game
This game is simple, easy to learn and overall checks all of the boxes. The reason that I deducted one star is because I think they use the breadth of the dictionary for possible words, so some of the selected words are very difficult to figure out. For instance, I got the word “KIBES”. After figuring out after three turns that it ended in “-IBES” I tried “VIBES”, ”JIBES”, and ”GIBES” in the losing effort. I would suggest there should be version that only uses less difficult words for people who want to casually play games like this.
EDIT: shortly after this review, a feature was added that restricted the words to more common ones. Great job! Not to be a narc, but if you spam the enter button when entering the correct word, it will count each hit of the bottom towards your win streak. Calls into question the validity of some streaks. Exacerbated by the victory screen taking a long time to show up sometimes.

Best Choice from All the Apps
This game is great. I’ve tried several app versions that are just like the original non-app Wordle. I deleted all but this one. This is the only game that lets you place correct letters where they belong and then go back to other spots and test out letters. All other versions make you repeatedly start spelling from the beginning over and over. And you can erase individual letter that you want to replace without having to clear the whole line. These features are even better than the original web browser game. Plus you can play more than one word a day if you want. (But I still play the online Wordle once a day!)

Good Game
The game is good and fun to play when I’m bored. When I have nothing to do I think of my list of, “Things to do When Bored,” and I see PuzzWord as my number one option. I always play it and it never gets old. All my friends also play the game and we enjoy sending ourselves our ratings and playing with each other. Their’s only a few things I don’t like about it though. The first thing is that all the modes that are fun, and I like to play are $30 a month! My parents would never let me but that and it’s so annoying when I see it. I also don’t like the part where you can’t at least do easy mode or hard mode. One of my friends has the subscription, so I also enjoy playing on his phone.

Update just messed up the whole game
Why the heck did you ruin this game? Yours was one of the most enjoyable games that I’ve had to play in a long time and with this update you totally screwed it. I don’t understand why you made the changes that you did because none of them make any sense. One of the things I liked the best was that I could pick any one of the letter positions and type into it without having to start from the beginning and type in every letter in order. That change makes it much more annoying to play. Also, changing the color scheme so that correct match is now blue instead of green and yellow is in place of the previous blue. What were you thinking?
Finally, the introduction of ads with no option to get rid of them is just plain stupid.
I hate every single thing that you did to “improve” this game and will likely not be playing it anymore not referring it to friends as I had been.

Wonderful, if a bit glitchy
Loving the game so far, but in the 30 minutes I have been playing I have had the same glitch 3 times: after correctly guessing the word, the game will sometimes refuse to move on to the next puzzle. The only button that works is the “enter” button, and repeatedly clicking this button will make the screen progress to the next puzzle, but it will also raise my win streak counter every time I click it.
I see that the developers read and respond to their reviews, so maybe this is something that will be fixed!!

Great games but fix it!!
This game is an overall great game! It is so fun to play with family members and friends. For instance, unlike other word games, you can actually change the place to add the word in this game. Continuing, it contains no adds which is amazing because while you are playing, there are no videos to distract you. Now, this is why I game it a 3 star rating. To begin, it only lets you play one round and then if you want to play again, you have to subscribe. This is really annoying because I don’t want to pay 30 bucks per year on some game. Next, there is a second game to play but once you finish, there are no other games to keep on playing. Finally, it’s game is amazing but it needs some changes. Thank you!

Disappointing update to perfect Wordle alternative
Why, why do developers insist on fixing what isn’t broken? I loved this app because unlike Wordle, you could type in letters one at a time. For example, If you go the 1st and 4th letter right, you could fill them in on the next line and try various combinations of letters to fill in the blanks without displacing the letters you already had right. With the new update I’m literally doing the work on a separate piece of paper then typing in the answer, because the letters only fill in from left to right in order. Sounds petty, but the new tile colors and design are ugly compared to the previous version. I’ll be deleting this and searching for a new app as soon as I break my streak.
