Can't put it down
Love this game. Only issue is that the words on the books can barely be read. The font is tiny and hard to read, especially on the lighter color books. Maybe the books should have been flat instead of upright. Fix the text size and it would be perfect. Love that you can do practice games on any level and advance. This way you don't have to start at level one all the time. Just wish that when you finished a practice game, you weren't kicked back to the home page but had an option to try again in the practice game. Other additions that would make it better are
*Ability to pause/come back to a game in progress
*A way to see your Top 5 scores with level
*An untimed version that allows advances when you reach the score.
Still give it 5 stars though.

The only game out there that reminds me of word whomp by Pogo. They discontinued it unless you join their game web service.
Funny. I can’t join them because my email address is on file as my login on one screen already. But when I try to reset my password it can’t find my login. It’s a flaw in their page programming that they cannot fix. Haha haha. Thanks for this game!

I am addicted to word games and this game allows me to challenge ME - plus it is a GREAT way to challenge kids / grandchildren!
I screenshot the start of a round….
Play the best to my ability and then screenshot……
I manually write out the letters and available space words ( I don’t draw the books 🤣)
On the top right corner of the page I write my ending score./ plus how many words I personally made.
I do a screenshot of the entire word list - so we know at the end because I do not know the point system- this works for us 🙂

Makes for interesting conversation in car trips or sitting around the house!

Brain exercise
Word Spell has become an integral part of exercising my brain following multiple brain stem strokes. I use it nearly everyday in conjunction with other exercises to keep my brain active and has become my favorite. It is really nice to have a “game” which doesn’t require in app purchases to continue using. I commend its developers on such a useful yet entertaining app.

Could be a great game
There is too much time hesitation in between when you ‘cast’ a word and going on to cast the next word. For a timed game such as this, it should flow immediately and seamlessly. For me that’s a major hiccup. Also, quite a few words that I’ve tried to use that I know are in any basic English dictionary; they are not accepted. Aside from these things, it’s fun.

I've had this app for many years and even though it's a simple concept, I enjoy trying to get to level 7! The fear of running out of time usually keeps me from getting there!

I enjoy this game and now play it only on Level 7 - it goes quickly since there are far fewer words!
