So pleased with this app
I've subscribed to "Word Of The Day" emails. I've looked up words I don't know. None of that helps me retain. This app however has changed my life (and my vocabulary.) The simple action of allowing me to see the words the next day, and then the next, until I remember it, is the trick. And when I remember it, it shows it to me again in 3 days, 7 days, 30 days, etc., so I never forget it. Plus with the paid version, between those intervals, I can play simple games which keep the words at the forefront of my mind. And I keep bringing in new words to learn entirely at my own pace. Simple and brilliant and life changing. I look forward every day to incorporating my new words into every day conversation.

Limited Use with Pro
This app has some great features such as photos, videos, and several sentences that help the user get a good grasp of the words. Its limitations that I’ve found so far in this Pro Trial and of course with the free version is that while you can import a list from another source, having multiple lists to keep categories separate, are not available. Another short-coming is that once the user has gone through the list once, it is not available to go through again and new words must be studied — not the same words for review and there’s no way around it. One other thing I’ve noticed is that when importing words to study, many are not available, making it so many can not be studied with this app. I’ve also noticed absolutely no difference between the free version and the Pro so that’s something to think about. Why pay for the exact same limited features that you can get for free? 🤷🏻♀️ 9/5/23 — Is the developer serious? He responded by saying they are pleased I enjoy the app and if there’s anything they can do… Did they not read my entire review?

Use to recommend, no longer would unless fixed
When I first downloaded this app it was great, in just a few weeks I even upgraded to the Essential subscription because I knew it was something I would want to practice daily. More recently WordUp made a change and it’s been for the absolute worst. I use to be able to test myself and practice words from my “Learning” bucket for as long as I’d like, 5-10 minutes. Now I can only test myself with a small handful of words from the “Learning” bucket and it then moves me to explore new words. The reason why I downloaded this was to learn new words and practice them over time so the repetition makes them more familiar. Now I am just shuffling through 10 new words a day without any repetition. Would absolutely not recommend unless they fix. If and when they fix it is a complete recommend.

Excellent App!
I have never written a review for an app. Hopefully you will find my review to be helpful. I am extremely satisfied with Word Up and I found it profoundly useful with excellent customer service. I suggested to add the synonym for each vocabulary and it was updated the next day. I am impressed with their ability to resolve my request promptly. It’s been a few weeks since I downloaded the app. I tested a few days than I decided to purchase the full year version to get more functionalities out of it. It’s fun, it’s interesting and more importantly I am learning new words everyday! I would recommend this app to anyone who wants to improve their vocabulary. Keep up the good work!!!

Word up suggestions and ideas

That is why I would like to make some suggestions or ideas.
- when we learn a word we can see its meaning and an example, but mostly these are in English, I think it would be a good idea to add the option to translate it into our language
Something similar to the translation option we have with Lexi
So we can better learn its meaning.
Another idea I could do is
- Have a small section, where we can add our own words that are not in the system
Or Expressions that are used
And we can give it its meaning and add an image that we want, to learn them in the same way as the others.
- that we can put our own time that we want some word to appear I think it would also be useful.
By the way, there are some words that when you search for them, the app crashes automatically.

Best app
This got to be the best app, it was so hard to find a good app that actually keep showing you the same words until you get it, it will make hard words you learn at school but forget it very quick stay in your head at all times I’ve actually enjoyed this app so much and don’t plan on quitting, plus if the free parts of the apps this amazing imagine spending money for other features of the apps like games, you could use this app literally for entertainment while bettering your vocabulary. Keep up the great work with app rocks 🔥

It’s awesome, but...
The way of learning, the resources that shown for each word, and literally everything about this app are really great. I have just addicted to it and use it everyday.
So I decided to become a PRO member by the 3-months subscription plan to use Movie/TV-show feature and unfortunately, it didn’t work. I’ve searched for some tv shows like younger, friends, Big Bang theory, some movies like spiderman and every time I selected the episode, the app crashed or stuck on waiting or show the message episode not found. I don’t even know what this part of the app looks like! Is it really developed?
If this problem solve, WordUp really deserves more than 5 stars.
Right now I just feel I lose my money and do not recommend the PRO version to anybody.

Really good app
I loved the app ever since I started using it, however, now it’s not working properly, I guess since the last update where you have to watch ads, I don’t have a problem with watching the ads since I know it’s a way of giving support to the developers, but it gets lagged now, it just showed a message saying the add couldn’t be loaded so I can’t access the option I want to use, it stops working sometimes, I wish they could fix these bugs, so I can enjoy using this app for a long time.

Disappointment
This app used to be great and expeditious, but now it seems to be money oriented application. We can Pathom that to run any application money and resources are needed but depriving your old users of accessing their collection of vocabulary is not fair. Now recently they have launched this 3-heart system in which we can practice only 8 or 9 words per day disgusting right, I was a part of this platform when it was newly launched, and that is one thing I’m a free user.

Gradually becoming worse and full of bugs with every update
When I downloaded this app, it was amazing and neat. I subscribed to essential (currently pro) membership because I found it amazing that time but it has been a while that with every update it got worse and worse with changes in the app design, insisting on using eye-uncomfortable theme and a handfull of anoying bugs. In the recent updates I have been forced to contact developers to report the bugs with urgent request for solving the issues. Finally, I decided to remove the app and switch to something else. Really dissapointed and upset about it! It is really a messy! Hope the devs appreciate beta testing before releasing updates!
