Very cool and accurate way to learn
I really like this app! I love bird watching but have struggled learning their calls and this game is definitely helping me with that. I also like that you can tell what bird it is even just by their flight pattern, it’s very accurate.
The only negative review I have is that the point system seems a tad off. You need so many points(seeds) to get feeders which then brings more birds, but by the time you have enough to refill the feeders, for example 1800 seeds, I have to identify 45 more birds and I do not want to have to pay for it with real money. Still, love this game though. Can’t wait for them to develop more locations.

Decent game when’s the binocular drawing happening??
The game is fun. I’m glad Swarovski optics partnered with them to come up with the game.
It’s definitely fun and exciting. The calls are mostly spot on but definitely have a more of an artificial AI feel rather than like the birds in nature. They seem to be generated rather than recording that have been modified for the game. The graphics for the game are very nice though, and everything moves very smoothly. I like the birdseed side of the game used to draw in different birds, just wish there was a way to generate the birdseed more readily. Lastly I understand lots of games have in game fees. It would be nice for this game if the first level was completely free all the way to the lake area.
I was also told I’d be entered into a drawing for a pair of Swarovski binoculars but even after I got the game I never received a notification that I’d been entered into the drawing. I’d love some clarification on if and when the drawing will occur and if it has already. Is this actually a thing or just an advertisement to draw in people?

Good, but clear money grab
The game is fun. But it’s so clearly a money grab. Pay for upgraded optics? Buy a scope in new region? Have “feeders” cost such a ridiculous amount of seed you either have to play a ton or shell out the big bucks to buy them all? I get having DLC, like new regions. But otherwise it’s suspiciously high strung to pull money out of pockets. Birds are cool though, songs are accurate so far (as expected), and overall fun. Also, I can’t help but think that the game purposefully keeps birds away from you that you need to finish missions. Weird how I needed a BUOR and spent hours looking, but as soon as I found one it regularly appeared without fail, even with no feeder…will need to play more to see how accurate this is, but it appears to be purposeful (the BUOR isn’t the only example I’ve seen)

Great way to learn about birds
Looking at field guides to ID and learn about birds is nice, but it takes going outside to really get a grasp of their calls and movements. This game does a great job of providing a realistic simulation of outdoor birding! Only a couple complaints, but not enough to lower from a 5-star rating.
1. Not enough regions/birds! I’m sure they will add to it, but currently the only region in the US is Yellowstone, so if your favorite bird is only found on the east side of the country, you’re out of luck. They are also missing many birds that live in the regions they do have.
2. They only show one sex of birds. I understand why they do this, since males are generally more recognizable, flashy, and more likely to call, but it would be nice to know what the females look like too.
3. A few bugs. They’ll surely fix most of them with time.
Overall, it’s a great game, and I think everyone getting into birding should download it!

Loved it and then…
This was such a cool game! I have really enjoyed learning the bird calls, but suddenly, today, the sound just stopped working. I restarted my phone to see if that was the problem, uninstalled and then re-downloaded the game. Still no sound.
The points system is really not great, as well. It takes SO many seeds to get or refill any but the original tube feeder, and by the time you identify enough birds to fill the tube feeders, all the rest of the feeders are empty as well and you need to identify dozens and dozens more birds to make that happen. It’s such a bummer, because without the more expensive feeders you don’t get to see less common birds.
But the sound shutting off is really confusing me and such a bummer because the calls are what I was loving so much!

Fantastic game for any level of birder!
What a great game! The interaction is nearly as good as being out in the field eco pet you get real time feedback if you ID is correct. The bird songs are sport on and always accurate, the bird renderings capture the specific details of the real birds, and the birds even keep to their proper real world habitat! The in game prices are very reasonable especially if you consider that a laminated field guide of common birds for a given region of is going to run you at least double. Plus, here you get the interactive bird calls as well!

Beautiful, authentic, fun, and educational
This game is a perfect way to escape to the outdoors when you otherwise can’t get away. I love the sound ID feature. That’s something I’ve always wanted to get better at, and I know this is really going to help with that. I love that the game seems to cater to every age and experience level. I also love that you can go birdwatching around the world without leaving your living room. What a fun way to explore new birds. Honestly, what’s not to love?

It’s like this game was made for me. My friends are all laughing and saying “of course you found a game that’s literally just IDing birds.” I love it. I was a teeny bit disappointed when I first started the game because I thought it was going to be open world with 360° movement, however I realize that takes a lot and you guys are a small team. Maybe some day 👀 anyway, well done!

I’ve been waiting for a game like this for literally years. I had the idea after playing Endless Ocean on the Wii. A three dimensional environment with open world elements would be the cherry on top. I’d pay like $50 for a game like that. Back to this though, it’s educational and fun. I haven’t bought any IAP yet but I almost certainly will soon. Thanks guys!

this game is really fun! i’ve only had it for 3 days but have discovered most of the species. it would be cool to add more species especially since Yellowstone has over 300 species of birds but the app only has 77. also would be cool if there are more things to buy with the ‘seeds’ instead of actual money. here’s some cool birds I think should be added: brown creeper, kestrel, cooper’s hawk, turkey vulture, kingfisher, hummingbirds, northern flicker, nuthatches, and swallows.
