Loving the app, but quick bug thing that’s killing me
So this app is insanely helpful! It allows me to make music with sf2s and such but for some reason, when using GarageBand, if you try loading any other sound, you get a really weird stutter/cutoff thing where the not won’t play correctly. It makes it really hard to use more than one track from this, because you can only have 1 loaded at a time to sound good, so I have to make 3 separate songs for 3 tracks, and put them together on my computer in audacity. This makes it painful to use please fix

IAP’s don’t work!
This synth is unique and has potential. The free sounds are great but after trying to make an IAP for more sounds I was surprised to find that they produced no sound and using restore purchases did not work. I will change my rating once they get this figured out as I really want to like this one of a kind synthesizer!
Update: The developer has fixed everything that I complained about and I can now give this app a full 5 stars in fact I would give it 10 if I could the app is that good. All I can say is what are you waiting for download it and buy the IAP’s you won’t regret it!!!!

Good Soundfont software but has its problems…
When I first heard of World Synth, I was trying to use vocals on GarageBand, and it worked great! The settings work nicely and the sound fonts come out smoothly. However there is a bit of a problem. You see, I’ve been working on making my own custom soundfonts, however when I download the sf2 onto my phone, the name appears on the select screen, but then it doesn’t read. I’m not sure why this is the case because one of them actually did work and now it just doesn’t. Is there a way to fix this? Do you recommend some kind of method to deal with this issue?

WOW. I saw the app featured in use by musician Ara Topouzian. This is a really accessible system to learn and play a really broad range of microtonal scales. The rhythms and voices built in sound really fantastic. Seeing these scales visualized on a keyboard with the downtuned notes immediately helps understand them.
A couple of things I’d really love: a quick switch to turn on/off the rhythm and drones all at once. And (this may be more iOS than the app) a way to avoid the iOS home bar that makes you swipe out of the apps (easy to accidentally close the app when you’re using the keyboard).

This is beautiful and growing.
One half star less for not being auv3 yet. I understand that the devs are limited in their resources and am happy they’ve been able to put this app together. It does have a lot of potential.
They fixed a bug so I should hold to my promise and increase the stars. A lot of value right from the start, lots of bugs fixed or ideologically improved to make for a better overall experience.
Since a half star is not a whole star, I’ll just round up. Highly anticipating auv3 support :)

I think the sounds on this app are amazing
I had a one Year subscription that I actually won and I barely used it because everytime I tried it said I didn’t have the full version. It became more trouble then it was worth
But now I gave it a second chance and purchased the lifetime subscription in the hopes the developers would fix the bugs
I was pretty happy with it until I tried to use the drones from the various packs. They sound great in the preview but then they are literally not audible when trying to use them. As soon as you switch to the free ones they are very loud at max volume. The only purchased drone pack that works as expected is the global drones. Please fix all the others. I really want to utilize the ethereal ones in particular. Right now they are not useable.
Therefore I can’t give this app 5 stars.
I will be happy to change if this is corrected soon

Don’t Waste Your Money
The developer purports to have a wide range of world instruments. You have to buy a specific “pack” to get the instruments or a certain area or region. HOWEVER….. the instruments you get are never listed ANYWHERE. It’s like a mystery. If you’re knowledgeable about the instruments in that country or region; you know exactly what you want. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY….. for example; the Oriental Pack has ‘Confident Brass’ and ‘Fluffy Accordion’. REALLY? I lived in China and I can tell you, accordions are not an Oriental Instrument. Dear Developer - please list each and every instrument you get with the packs…. and quit duplicating stuff to rip off your customers.
……. The Silk Road Pack is TERRIBLE…. the GuZheng sounds like a piano. The ErHu sounds like a….. are you ready….. different piano.

Needs a lot of bug fixes
I love the sounds and this app has tremendous potential, but the bugs are making it unusable for me.
I am using it as auV3 inside BeatMaker 3 and often when loading songs with World Synth instruments, the plugin is unable to ‘find’ the sound and everything is silent. There is no error message or even a record of what exact sound was used, so it basically just destroys hours of work.
I contacted a support email address but received no response after almost 1 month.
I want to love this so much, and I paid to purchase all the sound packs, but it seems like this is NOT ready for prime time :(

Exporting problems in GarageBand
This program has helped me a lot with making music in GarageBand, and I couldn’t be more grateful for it. However, I’ve been having problems with it recently. Whenever I export my songs, the tracks with the World Synth don’t export with it. While there are workarounds with the recording feature, it is a bit tedious and inconvenient. Hopefully this can be fixed in the future.
