Needs some tweaks and way more content
Started subscribing a couple months ago, and while I love being able to watch the races in realtime, I’m constantly being tripped up by the somewhat confusing interface and way you have to select each leg and hope it’s actually the live portion of the race. There should just be a live channel that you select and watch live with races, commentary and the like without having to constantly click here and there.
And… for the love of God there needs to be more content. I would think there’s enough material on Group B to entertain fans for months alone. And there’s all the cars, the drivers, the tech, behind the scenes, the training for drivers, the factory tours, the pit tours, the personalities and everything else that could make this app / service a true value.
Until then, if you’re a rabid WRC fan, then it’s worth subscribing during races, but cancel as soon as they are over bc that’s all you get.

Content is fine, delivery is awful
1. There is nothing wrong with the races, interviews, commentary, etc. It’s all fine except some minor technical glitches, which I’d expect from a live event that moves every couple weeks.
2. Why does every instance of my account go inoperative as soon as I “walk away”. If I’m watching on my phone in the morning, then login on my computer, my phone isn’t working next time I try to watch. Then if I try to stream on a TV later that same day, my phone and computer arent working later that evening. What’s the point in having a multi platform account if it just boots each device you off after each session.
3. The Apple TV app is totally broken. Besides the login problems above, none of the “live” recorded videos work. I just get a black screen and a 🚫 symbol.
4. I don’t know why they try and cut the videos for each stage. It’s never accurate. On the ground changes due to weather, red flags, etc, mean the schedule flexes every day. Just have a morning block and afternoon block.

Disappointing experience
This is my first year subscribing to WRC and will most likely be my last. I subscribed to be able to watch the stages and having a busy life doesn’t allow me to watch all the stages before they are removed from the live area while only a handful are left to replay. The highlights they keep don’t interest me. I subscribed to watch the stages not the highlights. I can get all the highlights I want without having to pay for a subscription by checking my social media. The stages are what matters. That’s why all this exists in the first place. I guess they’ve lost sight of that.
As far as the app goes, the navigation needs serious work. Many places offer no way to go back one screen without starting over from the home section. That makes for a very poor user experience.
These things are bare minimum requirements which should be met first. It’s the foundation everything is built around. None of this would exist without it, so please give the important things some attention then work on the extras.

Spoilers galore and AirPlay broken
I absolutely love my WRC+ Subscription because it contain so much great content but the App is awfully TERRIBLE. Spoils you the results as soon as you open it so it's only really good if you're watching it live. For highlights there is zero chance to not be spoiled as you have to navigate through the app and it constantly shows the final result. Also AirPlay is completely broken for this app with my iPhone 13 Pro running IOS15 and Roku. All other apps work fine, it's Judy the WRC one that is broken. Really for the $12 a month subscription that we pay we should have a MUCH better app that is better suited for people who can't necessarily watch every stage of every rally live. The content is so good and the execution so bad that the disappointment is absolute.

Reliable streams held back by confusing, clunky interface and terrible user experience
Can you watch rhe races no problem? Yes.
However the interface is clunky and confusing across all supported platforms, not just iOS. The interfave needs a complete overhaul. Its difficult to even find exactly what you want to watch and I must have clicked around for 10 monutes trying to determine when the next rally event was before giving up and googling it. The user experience is tedious and feels like work trying to figure out what to watch.

Don’t update!
The update notes that simply says Bug Fixes is a lie. All the content is now gone and we’re left with a screen that says Coming Soon. So if you want to watch videos that you paid for as part of your subscription, too bad! I don’t know why developers feel the need to be deceitful in their update notes. Preventing users from seeing the content they’re paying for is not a bug fix.
And now, with its third update in a few days, you try to log into the app and it asks you to verify your password via an email they send. That email takes you to a website where it says… wait for it… Coming Soon, which stops any login progress on the app.

Not worth the money
The interface keeps changing each week with app updates and is still difficult to navigate. I was not able to watch all of the Monte Carlo “live” stage videos before Finland started and now they have simply disappeared once Finland rally began, only the highlight videos are available. Only historical videos before 2021 work on Apple TV device, the live videos just never load. Each time app is updated the login details need to be input again on each device, 3 or maybe 4 updates as of writing.
This could be great app if all videos were accessible and it simply worked as expected but right now it’s just not. The video quality is good but overall the app just feels immature right now.

Solid app
This app is nearly perfect. WRC+ is awesome and for the price is well worth it. I have 2 wishes, 1 is for a spoiler free mode. I would love to be able to watch the days action without having to be cared what I look at. And it’s actually made me shut off push notifications. So I would love spoiler free at least on rally weekends. And 2 COVER WRC2 MORE we get stuck with a couple minutes of some great action.

Airplay doesn’t work. Spoils results of rally.
Nearly pointless to watch a rally in Europe when I’m in the States on this app because the 1st thing I’ll see when I open it are the results. Even when choosing Live straight away, I’m presented with the rally winner. F1 & MotoGP have simple but effective means to hide the results. I know a bit about programming and imagine it would take less than a day to build a toggle into the app.
Rallies are no longer available to watch a week out from the prior rally onward. I’ve paid for the season, I’d like to watch when time permits. Again, other racing apps allow it.
Airplay doesn’t work. It will send the sound but no video. Attempting to connect Bluetooth headphones including AirPods requires restarting app.
Thanks for fixing the AirPod issue. They had been coming up as a screen a la Airplay. I’ll throw down a star for it.

AirPod pros and hide results
Unable to use my AirPod pro with this app. It thinks it’s a streaming device and doesn’t display any video on my phone thinking the AirPod pro is a video device. Come on guys, this is app 101
Also you should give the users the ability to hide standings if they’re pulling up the app to view highlights. It makes it pointless to even log into the app to view highlights because unpon logging in its screaming the results in your face.
