GlenTheLion,
Excellent idea just needs a few UI fixes as well as making the game mechanics more clear
I love games like this. Simple, with a lot of depth. One thing I think that needs to be fixed is when you turn the game landscape the text box should become smaller or moved to the bottom of the screen. The whole reason you turn a phone sideways to play a game is to relieve the stress on your hand as well as to increase the space of the play screen so that you can control the game more easily. With the text box moving to the side and not decreasing in size or moving to accommodate the gesture it makes turning the phone landscape pointless and terribly irritating as well.

I would also like it to be more clear where my stats are located and the abilities I’ve invested in are. It would be cool to see the starting stats of each avatar although leaving it a mystery has its own benefits. Never the less it would be nice if the UI for stats spells and abilities were clearer.

I would recommend text boxes for the dialogue instead of having it all show up in this blocky text window at the bottom of the screen that way players have the option of removing that clunky thing altogether.
Joel the rpg ninja sensai,
I tried to seek friends.
I tried to seek friends in what i thought was the most fun and entertaining family-friendly game. People started to treat me like I was fun. But after a while they ignored me. I was really feeling like I found an actual family friendly game at the start. And like I said I was starting to feel like I was ignored for more than being annoying. If you are a player who like me who just loves making and tends to talk like an hour a minute cuz you feel welcomed. I would not suggest this game. But if you do love a game that supports the majority and the very few who trie their very best to fit in I would suggest this game.

Absolutely phenomenal
Wonderful gameplay perfectly nostalgic of classic rogue like RPGs, blends the elements of questing, dungeoneering, magic, and learning system perfectly in the palm of your hand. Wonderful game. It’s even free! Not buying anything in game does not in any way hinder your abilities or likewise put you at a massive disadvantage. The leveling is fair, the quests are fun, the map is absolutely massive and this is not a pay to win game.

The community is also something to behold. A perfect romance of wacky and good humor the people here are a riot. There’s not toxicity and senior game players will almost always take a sec to answer the inquiries of a new player, should, for whatever reason a moderator/admin not be around. Which is rather unlikely. People help people and player killing is limited. No need to run and hide in fear if you see someone else, they’ll likely just emote at you and continue on.

This is a very good game with a lovely group of people. I highly suggest playing it. You will not be disappointed.
HendershotBleak,
Clock quest is absurd
I don’t know what sadists thought this quest was a good idea as an “easy” quest for new players but it is absurd. The game puts you into a side scroller type platforming level with no explanation except not to touch the small cogs or start over. For a game with 1980 graphics and abysmal controls on a touch screen phone this has translated beyond poorly and in my opinion is a major blunder for a game I’m really trying to like. Heck even people in the chat were saying just to not do the quest, it’s not worth it, too hard, annoying, etc. Really seems like it should be tweaked or moved from the easy quests area. I love the old style and all the races with their different perks but the nonsense attempt at side scroller platforming and overly ghetto way of buying and even checking the stats on items is absolutely ruining any joy or nostalgia. How is there not a standard menu for things? This game could be a smash hit if they would just update little things. Instead it’s painful to do almost everything.

A true relic, beautifully deep
I was searching for a game on mobile to scratch an itch for adventure that I had ... I didn't know the rabbit hole was this deep.

Wyvern is saturated with places to explore, monsters to kill, loot to find and players to meet. The community is overwhelmingly helpful through everyone's passion for the game. You can choose you race, your specialization in skills and the paths you take in the world. There is literally too much to do, and that is what makes it stand out from the rest.

This game gets, and deserves, 100% of my gaming attention. But to save the best for last, the developer (one man) can often be found in the game talking, helping and showing his love for Wyvern as well. Give it a try and don't give up, because the challenge is worth the reward.
imcrazytrw,
This is amazing. Be Patient and you will get sucked in.
There isn’t a good way to describe this game that will give it the recognition it deserves. I have been a fan of MMOs for years, playing WoW, FFXIV, and various mobile MMOs... this one is my new favorite.

The learning curve is relatively steep, and I recommend using the game’s wiki for help at the start, but boy is it worth getting over that curve. The community is awesome and helpful, there is so much to do and discover, and the game is just a joy to play.

The purchasable in game currency is really just for extra stuff that makes the game easier on the player, but overall doesn’t feel necessary to buy (although I might end up buying some to support the creator, Rhialto, who is very active in the community and is a pleasure to talk to).

Don’t let the graphics turn you away, this is THE BEST MMO on mobile, and is such a unique experience unmatched by any other. If you need help, ask in the in game chat or consult the wiki. Be patient, and you will get sucked in, I promise.
Angry naary,
Challenging, rewarding, with an incredible player base
I played this as a teenager years ago on the computer. Safe to say I’m so so happy it’s on mobile now-and plays really well on mobile.

If you’re looking for an easy game: don’t play Wyvern. If you’re looking for a game whose challenges and time demands feel super rewarding, then play Wyvern. The races are super fun, with unique pros and cons. The skill system is unique as well, and the guilds are a lot of fun, with more being added in the future. If you decide to play, myself and others will be happy to help you along your journey through Wyvern!
AEC74,
Fav all-around game
Ahh...wyvern. What's not to like? It's both nostalgic and current. The new version maintains much of the challenge and all of the depth of the original. I will admit I was skeptical, but it translates to the mobile platform surprisingly well.

It's a MUDD....and a fantastic one. Tons of choices, amazing depth, plenty of room to roam and explore.

A word of caution, the learning curve is real - this is a legit game and there's knowledge and skills to acquire to play it well. The tutorial has improved materially which helps with startup. Also...there really is no better gaming community to be found if you need help.
Gerbilforce,
An absolutely fantastic RPG
This is a graphical MUD, a fairly old style of RPG that really gets the D&D feeling right. If you’re a fan of Ultima Online or even Runescape you’ll probably fit in nicely and enjoy yourself. Even if you’re not looking for an MMORPG, this is still a fairly great game to just wander around in.

There are no pay to win aspects, no obtuse ads or other nonsense either, which is an absolute rarity in this day and age. The devs are also relatively active in game. The population does seem a tad low, but that’s honestly just fine, as so much of the game shines alone or with friends.
oO Your dad Oo,
Tears of Happiness
Honestly I’m downloading the game now as I type this, but I’m so happy to be able to play even a fraction of what this game used to be. Its been almost 20 years since i last played this on my Gateway computer over my AOL dial-up connection when i was a young teenager. I couldnt wait to get home from school and grind in this MMORPG so many good memories, and over the years i would look back hoping it was back. I’m so happy to see that Rhialto fought to bring this game back. I can’t wait to log in now.
