1.2.3
2017-01-25
This app has been updated by Apple to display the Apple Watch app icon.
Version 1.2.3 added instructions to setup X-Plane 11. Note that using this application with X-Plane 11 is unsupported though you can still try it with certain settings for the mean time. X-Mapper Pro isn’t guaranteed to work with future versions of X-Plane 11 and no more supports multi-device connection.
As the release of this update, functional enhancement and compatibility maintenance will be discontinued on X-Mapper Pro. We are sorry for the unavoidable discontinuation of the legacy application. Instead, we are introducing a successor application “X-Mapper TNG” with formal support for X-Plane 11 and unlimited multiple device support. If you are using X-Plane 11 as well as X-Plane 10.40 or later, please try the alternative application for free with paid upgrade.
1.2.2
2016-04-01
Version 1.2.2 fixes the layout disorder on iOS 9.3 as well as gets the screen layout optimized for new devices such as iPhone 6.
1.2.1
2014-09-26
Version 1.2.1 fixes a minor bug where the motion sensor worked improperly on iPad in a certain condition and the application language was forced into Japanese with non-English modes of iOS 8.
1.2.0
2014-09-10
Version 1.2.0 changes the net connection scheme, that allows multi-device connection. Also, refines the user interface to adapt for iOS 7 as well as includes other fixes and improvements.
*From this version on, iOS 6 or later is required. For devices with iOS 4 or iOS 5, App Store will provide older version 1.1.3.
NET CONNECTION SCHEME CHANGED
The new version uses EFIS App channel instead of previous X-Plane Remote channel to get the flight data from X-Plane, that makes it more stable and efficient. Since the X-Plane-side settings also are changed, please refer to the subsequent message for the new setting procedure.
ALLOWS MULTI-DEVICE CONNECTION
As the net connection scheme changed, it now allows you to connect up to four iPone/iPad devices running multiple X-Mappers at the same time. Assign each device’s IP address to each EFIS App channel of X-Plane.
USER INTERFACE REFINEMENTS FOR iOS 7
The App’s user interface has been refined to adapt to new systems such as iOS 7, iPhone 5 and newer ones. Although minor changes have been brought into the design and the layout, the basic operations are same as previous version.
***KNOWN ISSUE*** Launching in the landscape mode of iPad causes motion sensor to work in wrong way. For workaround, once turn your device to the portrait mode and back to landscape again to reset the motion sensor. Sorry for inconvenience of iPad users, but please be patient until upcoming update en route.
1.1.3
2012-10-08
Version 1.1.3 fixes a glitch in iOS 6 as well as includes several new features.
*This is the last version which is compatible with iOS 5 or prior. App Store provides this version for devices with iOS 4 or iOS 5.
FIXES iOS 6 GLITCH
Improves the drawing method for the plane icon to avoid a glitch in iOS 6 caused by the new map’s functionality.
VIBRATION FEEDBACK
Now the device vibrates when you touch either rudder or throttle slider, so that the feedback action gives you sure operations and avoids misoperation in critical situations such as landing.
RESETTING NET CONNECTIONS
Adds “Reset Net Connections” to the Action Menu that allows you to retry the net connections setup. Try it when the application has accidentally stopped working for unknown reason.
1.1.2
2012-07-27
Previous version didn't work with X-Plane 10.10 Beta 1. Now it may work with X-Plane 10.10 or later including all beta versions.
Along with updating X-Plane, if you receive an improper message like “No Pro-Use Key found! EFIS-App support will not be allowed!” at the first startup, you may ignore it and you should setup the net connection again. Also, note that the field label “iP of iPhone X-Plane REMOTE” is changed to “iP of iPhone running joystick” in X-Plane 10.10.
1.1.1
2012-02-27
Version 1.1.1 adds flight path drawing feature as well as includes several fixes and imprevements.
FLIGHT PATH DRAWING
The Map Tracker now draws the flight path on the map as orange lines. Open the action menu from the upper-right button to hide, show or reset the flight path.
FIXED iPAD LAYOUT ISSUE
Fixed a bug on iPad that causes the layout disorder of the Avionics Panel when opening in the landscape mode.
IMPROVED MAP REDRAWING
Improved the map drawing process on old devices such as iPhone 3G, so that accidental redrawing stalls would be avoided. Still if you encounter insufficient redrawing at rushed situations, try zooming out by two-finger tap or turning off the flight path.
1.1.0
2012-02-16
This application has been upgraded to more powerful “Pro” edition with following enhancements useful for advanced flight operations:
THROTTLE CONTROL
Added a throttle slider for fine thrust control. This smart controller allows you tuning jet/turbine engines by 0.1 point order as well as watching auto-throttle feedback without expensive dedicated devices. Also added is a handy reverser button for smooth operation at landing and rejecting takeoff.
AVIONICS PANEL
The new full-equipped avionics panel allows you to operate various radio and autopilot equipment of the simulated aircraft. It is useful especially for IFR operations that was bothering the pilot in busy. You can setup the autobrake even if omitted in some cockpit panels.
***KNOWN ISSUE*** Launching in the landscape mode of iPad causes layout disordering of the avionics panel. For workaround, please open the avionics panel in the portrait mode for the first time and change the orientation of the device while the panel shown. Sorry for inconvenience of iPad users, but please be patient until upcoming update.
Also included in this version is support for the landscape orientation of iPhone devices. Other requested features such as flight path drawing are underway. Please watch for upcoming updates. Thanks for requests and suggestions.
The “Pro” edition is now a paid application. But take it easy, all users of previous version are eligible to download this for free.
