Really enjoy this app both playing solo and co-op. It is challenging enough you have to pay attention and just the little extras like a free target lock or focus action makes the AI deadlier than it would normally be. It made me love my X Wing ships again. If you have ships but can't set up or find a game? Get this app.

I’ve been a long time user of the app, and had the privilege to work on the beta team for the 2.0 launch. This app performs fantastically for both solo play and campaign missions in HotAC. The creator is very involved with the community and does a great job integrating new ideas into the app. I highly recommend this for all of your X-Wing needs, whether practicing or campaigning!

Perfect for HotAC, really speeds up and streamlines the AI planning. Just started using it for AI against which I am testing new squadron builds, seems promising for that as well. Simply and easy to use. Had a brief issue with the app, reached out to Joe and he followed up multiple times until resolution, fantastic service. If you play HotAC or solo, this is the app to use!

It’s great for Solo play or just to practice your skills.
I am really enjoying using this app. Solo playing the ‘Heroes of the Aturi Cluster’ using this app. It works great and I like that I don’t need to reference the ship cards since all the steps are shown in the app. It gives an element of surprise as the ships don’t always maneuver as you plan out so makes it more exciting. The only real problem I have with it is that it doesn’t save the list. I noticed that the list always deletes overnight or after long periods of not using the app. Also if the phone reboots or anything that would wipe the memory. I know it’s a minor inconvenience to redo the list but for having to pay $2 in order to use the full list, it’s keeping me from giving a full five stars. It would be nice to have a few more features such as showing a full list in one display, saving the list (for future plays), and I didn’t see any options for the epic huge ships. I’m still trying things out so if those options are in there or if they are ever added in, then this app would deserve a full five stars. I hope it gets updated for X-Wing 2.0 (but still have the option for 1.0) because I plan to keep using his app for a long time. Perhaps there will be an Armada app one day? :) Thanks!

Scratches the itch
Listen, no, it’s not as good as having your buddy over for drinks, unhealthy snacks, and flying some ships around, but it’ll get the job done. The app isn’t perfect; for instance it doesn’t know where obstacles are, or exactly where other ships may be, which leads to a few more collisions than normal. In those cases you give the AI some wiggle room and you make a better decision on their behalf.
The interface makes sense and it has allowed me to play the game under quarantine which is all I wanted from such a thing.

Great AI. 2.0???
After not having anyone to play with for a while, i finally downloaded this app. The ai was pretty great and rather challenging. Since you tell the AI where you’ve moved to, it’s very difficult to out maneuver higher Pilot Skill AI, but an interesting challenge non the less. Now, i play 2.0 and it seems like the only thing the app takes into account is ps, so it’s pretty easy to adjust. However, it would be super cool to see this app updated to 2.0. I would gladly pay 1.99 for the full app.

Needs an update
Not a bad app, but it needs a few things added. It would be easier to have an outline of a map to show that you are playing on a 3 x 3 with moveable icons representing the ships, so you know how much room you have when using the app by yourself. With icons of the opposite team so it would make the App think and you think about its next move.
Also when you make the purchase it needs to tell you that you got the upgrade if the huge ships to add more ships and not spin as if it processing. What's the point in spending money if it won't tell you - you got the upgrade and it just in a endless cycle of processing your payment.

I love it but have two feature requests
1. Allow me to rename and/or assign numbers to a unit. In a big battle I have a hard time keeping squads of same numbers straight. 2. Allow us to warn AI of potential collisions. Otherwise this is fantastic and an absolute game changer just getting to play any time the feeling strikes.

Perfect for the lonely nerd
I recently moved away from my regular group but luckily this app has saved the day! The ai is great, making smart but unpredictable moves and by following the little extra rules it makes them even deadlier! 10/10
