XCPlus will overlay the running race time over the video being captured. When the current video segment is stopped capturing, it is saved to the Photos app.

XCPlus is free and its basic functionality will always remain free, but future enhancements might require an in-app purchase to cover development costs.

There are two alerts concerning privacy that you must approve. They are to use the camera and to save to the Photos app. Although these are "privacy actions" that all apps need to validate, XC Plus is not capturing any personal data and it is not connected to the internet. You could, in fact, run the app in airplane mode. In the future, that might change for example, an option to access a team's roster that is stored in the cloud.
