Description

This is a simple app for recording times during a cross country race. Saved race data can be emailed as a csv or automatically synced to your Google Drive. Use the Google Sheet Add-On "Cross Country Scorer" to streamline post-race scoring (made by this same author). The volume buttons can be used to take splits.

Jordan Groh,
As a coach, very happy with the results!
I’m a cross country coach and recently used this to time our home cross country meet. I’m very happy with the results, especially given that the stopwatches with built-in printers costs hundreds of dollars. It was very easy to time the race, use the splits function as individual runners crossed the finish line, and save and upload the file to Google Sheets. Very happy.

We borrowed a printer stopwatch to use as a backup, but we ended up not even using it.

My only suggestion is to have a function that does allow the screen to turn off. When I turned off the screen during the early part of the race, it created a split. I knew none of the kids ran the 5k in under a minute, so it was very obvious that I should just ignore that result. When I uploaded the file to Google Sheets, I just deleted that time. Not a big issue, but I was concerned with the battery life on my phone. After two races with the screen left on, I believe my phone was at 50 percent power.

All in all, thanks for the great timer.
Chris DelliCarpini,
Volume buttons stopped working
The volume buttons used to work as represented. They don’t anymore. I found this out the hard way timing a race. I’ve deleted the app and reinstalled, but still the only way to time runners is to hit the green button, which is much less convenient.
Cares19,
Not worth it
Just downloaded to use. The volume buttons do not do splits as advertised
The split button and stop button are next to each other so when trying get a split you easily hit the stop button. Worthless!!!
Can't save name of of race just as race 1, 2,3, etc

Complete crap.
Smurficlioois,
Life changing for a coach!
We host many xc meets and this system has saved us lots of time. No longer manually type in finish times; have files auto synced with google drive or email as a csv to use in Excel. Amazing!
