katmiester,
Great for Smartphone Astrophotography
I got this app so that I could have more control over my phone’s camera (manual focus, shutter speed, ISO, etc.) so that I could take images and videos of the planets (mostly) and other brighter objects in the sky with my smartphone. My telescope is a 6-inch reflector, not motorized, and so I just let the planets move across the screen, using the grid feature to guide/aline the camera, to get footage for stacking
The app gives you a huge amount of control over your camera, including focus, exposure, white-point, and several different combinations of framerate+quality (e.g. high quality at 60fps, which I use for getting more high-quality frames of planets).
Overall, this app is amazing for smartphone astrophotography, and the full version is very affordable.

My only suggestion/request is, I think it would be cool to have an optional point/crosshair in the center of the screen— just like the grid— as sort of a guidance point.
GratefulMomFromTX,
Love the grey card and the $1.99 no-ad version!
I wanted to take color-wise consistent pictures of products for a website/eBay. Nothing super professional, just a simple way of roughly controlling color temperature. This app is perfect. I don’t need to use any of the other manual features, still just point and shoot. But I made myself a grey card and I point the camera at it to lock in the color temperature every time I take product photos. And my colors have been coming out wonderfully, without the camera “compensating” based on an incorrect guess. I went ahead and paid the $1.99 for the pro version to remove ads, and voila! Perfect! Thanks for the great one-time price!
Blynn4catan,
Doesn’t work with iPhone 13
I do a significant amount of product photography and have been using Yamera for years- I loved being able to save presets and have instantaneously photostream uploads. I upgraded to an iPhone 13 today and now the exposure settings aren’t working correctly. If you try to customize the ISO or shutter, it will look fine when you’re taking the photos, but I’m the photostream they come out looking very strange and unusable- there’s randomly really bright white in places of the photo. It looks like someone took a digital paint brush of bright white and splattered, circled and some irregular shapes. If you lower the ISO and shutter low enough that this doesn’t happen, then the photo looks dingy and is not well lit. Also the white balance settings don’t appear to be working correctly either.

This app is no longer usable to me and I’m pretty devastated about it- I spent hours editing and adjusting my presets to get them perfect and now I have to start over with a different app

Btw I tried to report a problem or the app support links but neither were secure links. So I guess a review is my only option.
Unusual_cow,
For filmmakers
I love using this app because it has the manual controls I'm used to when filming on DSLR (Other than Aperture controls since iPhones have fixed apertures) and it's quite simple to use. I also love the feature where you can change exposure settings manually even when filming just in case there is some sort of lighting transition during the shoot. If you like filming slow motion however, You will have to pay $2 for pro version but, that's not a problem for me :^). I recommend this app for "no-budget filmmakers who are seeking full exposure control of their camera without having to pay anything.
Aldeberan75,
Fantastic App! Feature request?
Hello, I’ve been using this app for a few years now and it has worked beautifully! I was wondering if I could request a feature? Many of the pics I take are around 1/10 shutter speed and this can be a bit difficult to set with the slider. I was wondering if there can be a way to more finely tune shutter speed, maybe even a pop up window to type in the desired shutter speed. Thank you!
UhavLocation.AllUGet,
Fantastic! But not perfect.
I film my painting process and having true and consistent color is very important to me. That is why having control of the white balance in this app is so great! However,…if I leave the app for any reason at all, when I return to my process, the white balance has changed and is now incorrect. I then need to to recalibrate it with a white sheet of paper and relock the white balance function. Fix this feature so that white balance doesn’t change when you leave the app, and it will certainly be a 5 star app for me!
NY Herper,
Extremely Useful
Thus software is a "must-have" for photographers that use an iOS device. The ability to manually adjust the focal distance and exposure, in great detail, is unique to this app and it's very useful.

There are stupid people that have a low IQ and a poor patience ability that say that the payed/pro mode didn't do anything, but the stabilization is very useful, and in order to use that, you must upgrade to pro version. The developers of this application deserve 100% of the revenue that they generate.

Great app
I needed a camera with adjustable exposure to test my monitor refresh rate and luckily I found this app that let me change the exposure/shutter speed. I enjoy the customizability this app gives me so I got the full version for every feature. 10/10 would recommend.
IkeaEnthusiast,
Used to love it; with 14 pro some issues
I adored this app and used it forever with my iPhone 11. Now I have upgraded to the 14pro and it creates blaring white areas in my photos. Plus, the colors I see when I take the photo in Yamera are not the colors that are shown in the final image that gets saved to my phone. It’s like I will take one photo in Yamera, and a crappier version of the photo is what I will actually get.

I’ve tried a few camera apps and this seems to be happening across the board, and all in all I am pretty disappointed.
Just a user from the app,
Awesome... but...
I’ve been using the pro version for over a year now. It’s an incredible app, as other comments say you can take a clear picture of the moon. However, when recording video, sometimes it switches from 60fps to 240fps. I use it to record myself in classes I teach, so there’s no one looking at the camera. I had to repeat a 30 minute video more than once. Would love if they can fix this problem.
