YouRiding - Surf and Bodyboard Hack 0.6.0 + Redeem Codes

I loved this game back in the day. $6 was fine for it hopefully they can use it to grow and improve. Glad it’s back. The making your own waves feature is really cool and actually pretty impressive. The controls could use a little work they’re a tad sticky. Getting stuck in the lip a lot. Almost feels like the buttons should be slightly more sensitive. The graphics are not too bad but could used a little bit of work. The journey mode would be really nice to bring back. And maybe even a couple more maneuvers like an alley-oop or a more vertical turn than just the “roller,” vertical fins out, or even just some different types of carves so you can put yourself in better positions. Lots of potential.

Let me start off by saying this is worth $6 compared to every other surfing game on the App Store. It’s simple and the graphics are impressive. Mindlessly surfing different waves is fun and an easy way to kill time. The wave creator is a great addition.

A few things that could be improved. The menu buttons and layout could be enlarged and simplified. There also could be more gear unlocked through challenges (i.e. different boards, fins, etc.) and waves to free surf. Finally I wish they added the Journey which the older versions on the computer used to have.

Overall I’m very happy with spending $6 to play this game. Hopefully more people join so the multiplayer can have more heats.

Hi guys not sure if you’ll see this, but I love the game and have some feedback. The roundhouse/cutback mechanics are great and they are the main maneuver that really feels like the board is surfing the wave.

I think if you guys could implement that into more of the other maneuvers, along with adding spray from doing turns the game would feel more complete. Where as right now it feels like the board and wave are completely separated.

Everything is a little slow too and not super seamless but I’m sure that will just get better as time goes on

More board options with different stats would be cool too.

longer answer: the older version of this game used to amazing. i absolutely loved playing for the barrel views. that was so awesome.
i just redownloaded this app now, and payed 5.99 just to give it a shot. after just a few mins i know i want a refund and won’t open the app again. the physics simply aren’t good, the pov is alright, but the whole playability of the game isn’t fluent. it’s not smooth.
it takes unnecessary time after each wave to load your score and such, and you have to slowly switch to a better pov to have the view you want.

i hope my paying for this app doesn’t go to waste. i hope the money can go towards some better development. is it really so hard to get an app with beautiful wave physics?
go check out robbie crawford’s animated work, he’d be a great person to hire for surf / wave app development.

a refund would be awesome, because genuinely after just 3 mins i can for sure say i won’t use this app again unless there’s big changes.

us ocean enthusiasts, those of us who love and appreciate the natural beauty of a simple clean barrel and nice lighting, would so so so much appreciate getting to have an app where that’s accessible and enjoyable.

Awesome concept. Only things they need to work on is having the controls less sticky and a little more flowy on the manuevers. Also some texture for the waves

I love the concept and the sort-of realistic-ish graphics but it feels so underdeveloped. The controls to surf is by directional arrows and makes for a very unresponsive feeling.

Should you buy it? I’d wait until its more functional.

I hate to be a critic here but I WANT to see where this game goes, it has plenty of potential.

I really wish had a drop knee and stand up boogie board option for this game. other than that really great game.

From some one who used to play the og computer game and the og version of the journey don’t buy it. The keys are extremely sticky and aren’t sensitive enough. I personally don’t find it fun at all. This doesn’t compare to the old games at all and isn’t worth the $5.99.

Not much of a game. The OG version you had to unlock (more waves) and progress through the game. Would’ve done 4 stars but the controls in the menu are computer keys not updated for the phone version

I gave the game a chance and really tried to like it. But it constantly crashes. It’s fine for a few waves and then the game just crashes. I updated the game and that still didn’t do anything. Hopefully this gets fixed but at this point it’s not playable.
