Description

Yugipedia is an UNOFFICIAL deck builder app for the Yu-Gi-Oh!® card game. This app is not affiliated with, sponsored, endorsed, or approved by Studio Dice, Shueisha, TV Tokyo, or Konami.

Build and test decks using a current database of cards that is updated daily. Share decks straight to your friend's app or share deck lists anywhere.

UPDATED DAILY
Yugipedia’s card database is updated every day, giving you the most recent cards. Most cards will be on Yugipedia within 24 hours of their details being revealed.

Most importantly, the app automatically gets the latest card list every time it starts, so you don’t have to wait a few days/weeks for an app update in order to get your new cards!

SMART SEARCH
The search has been optimized for finding Yu-Gi-Oh! cards: it will offer card suggestions and find what you're looking for even if you aren't sure how to spell it or have typos.

LIGHTNING-FAST DECK BUILDING
The deck building process has been streamlined to allow you to find and add the cards you want quickly and efficiently. Add cards to your deck with a single tap, and change the amount or remove the card with another tap.

TEST YOUR DECKS
You can test your decks on the fully-featured Test Field. It has all the field slots as well as tokens, counters, coin, dice, and handy shortcuts for Pot of Avarice, Desires, Duality, and Extravagance.

The drag-and-drop interface is easy to use, so you can practice your combos and learn new strategies the same way you would test-draw with your real-life deck.

SHARE YOUR DECKS
You can share your decks as clickable links that will open Yugipedia and import the deck. You can also share a text deck list for easy viewing.

FEATURES
• Automatic card list updates
• Over 12,400 Yu-Gi-Oh! cards, with more added daily as they are released
• Includes almost all official TCG cards and OCG cards
• Add cards to your deck with a single tap
• TEST YOUR DECKS with the solo Test feature (not a duel system)
• Smart search has suggestions and typo tolerance
• Automatically-updating banlists for TCG, OCG, GOAT, and Master Duel
• Small, optimized card images to save storage space
• Share deck links that can be imported straight into your friend's app!
• Don’t have to update the app to get an updated card list!
• Simple interface, everything is only a few clicks away

If I’m missing any cards, send me an email so I can add them to the app.

Feedback is welcome and very much appreciated. I read every message I get from a user.

DISCLAIMER: This app is NOT a dueling system and will never allow you to duel. This app is merely a tool to assist you with constructing decks for playing Yu-Gi-Oh!. I am not endorsed by or affiliated with Studio Dice, Shueisha, TV Tokyo, or Konami, and the purpose of this app is to complement the game of Yu-Gi-Oh!, not to usurp it or replace it. This app is only useful if you have actual Yu-Gi-Oh! cards to play with, so show your support for Konami by buying real Yu-Gi-Oh! cards and playing the real game. This app can help you organize your cards into decks, but this app will NEVER allow you to duel. It isn't my place to offer dueling; I merely want to offer a helpful service to duelists.

Version history

3.0.16
2023-06-26
Most of the changes in this update are behind the scenes. Here's what's new:
• Updated code libraries
• Improved image handling
• Increased min iOS version to iOS 13
• Added Legal section to Settings
• Lots of backend improvements
• Various bug fixes
3.0.15
2023-04-25
Lots of tweaks and improvements in this release. The goal was to improve overall user friendliness and user experience, and to fix the most annoying bugs. Here's what changed specifically:

Database:
• Added the new Illusionist monster type!

Card Details:
• Added a visual indicator to show new users that you can swipe between cards
• Added a Tips popup
• Added Help page
• Increased card swipe speed
• Increased max font size for effect boxes in full card images
• Centered spell/trap type vertically with its icon
• Fixed: Spell attribute icon now says 'Spell' instead of 'Magic'

Deck Bar (the deck toolbar at the top of Card Details):
• Added tip to clarify functionality
• List now uses as much height as it needs to show your decks (instead of always being a fixed height)
• Added drop shadow to better separate toolbar from the rest of the screen
• Made it harder to accidentally tap the count buttons
• Added special case for when you only have 1 deck (instead of it showing an empty list)
• Fixed: Decks are now sorted alphabetically, case-insensitive (instead of case-sensitive like before)
• Fixed: Newly created decks sometimes didn't show up in the list if you hadn't added cards to them yet

Sort/filter screen:
• Made this screen much taller so you can see more of the sort/filter buttons
• Filters no longer reset on each new search (based on much user feedback)

Search:
• Added tip to clarify functionality
• Search suggestions and search history items are smaller now, so you can see more at once
• Centered 'No results found' text, and added more padding
• Show total # of cards even when no search has been made
• If your search query doesn't find any results, the app always tries to search for similar terms if feasible. But it didn't always clearly explain that the search terms changed because the original terms didn't find any results. This could feel like the app is randomly changing your search terms for no reason. Now it more clearly explains that results weren't found for your search, but it was able to find results for a similar query.
• Card number search is back! Any 8-digit number will now look for matching card numbers like the old app did
• Fixed: On the keyboard, the Enter key is now a Search button when the search bar is focused (as opposed to saying something generic like 'Enter' or 'Done')

Decks:
• Added support for missing cards that aren't in your database yet (e.g. when you import a deck with cards from a newer database update that you don't have yet)
• Added more descriptive errors when recovering decks from old app
• Made short link generation dialog dismissible when sharing deck link (in case of network issues that make it take too long)
• Fixed: Add to Deck tutorial stopped showing up after one of the most recent updates. It's back now for new users.
• Fixed: Decks tab help button was also showing up on Test tab
• Fixed: Recover Decks button was showing up in Decks tab for old Yugipedia users that had no decks to recover

Miscellaneous:
• Restored tab behavior from old app. Now if you tap the tab icon for the tab that you're already on, it will go all the way back to the first page of that tab.

2021-02-04
Routine update with a few new features and some bug/crash fixes.

Fixed a bug where Yugipedia wouldn't show up on the list of apps that can open its own .deck files. Also added a new .decks file type that can export all of your decks in a single file that can then be imported into Yugipedia. Will be very useful for moving your decks to a new phone.

Got rid of the obsolete ARG banlist and replaced it with the often-requested GOAT banlist.

Updated code libraries and built the app with the latest iOS 14.4 SDK. Also removed support for 32-bit devices (really old devices) and increased the minimum iOS version from iOS 9 to iOS 10. I've supported these older setups for as long as I feasibly can.

HUGE DECK TESTER UPDATE!

This update adds a TON of new features to the Deck Tester:

• Automatic shortcuts for Pot of Avarice, Pot of Desires, Pot of Duality, and Pot of Extravagance
• More buttons on the Card Viewer screen: Summon, Send to Graveyard, and Banish
• Tokens! Press the token button below the field to summon a token, drag it off the field to remove it
• Counters! You can drag counters from the Counter Pile pile to any card. Drag them off the field to remove them. Additionally, you can edit the number of counters from the Card Viewer screen.
• Deck now auto-shuffles after you search it. This can be disabled in Deck Test Settings
• The field defaults to New Field now (the old pre-Link field is still available under Deck Test Settings)
• Tap a card to view it, hold a card to change battle position (it used to be vice-versa). This can be changed back via Deck Test Settings
• Coin/Dice button
• Dedicated Search Deck button
• Banish/Send button that lets you pick how many cards, where they come from, and whether they should be face-up or face-down
• Help button that explains how everything works
• Added Deck Test Settings to the Settings tab. Has field options, auto-shuffle options, and tap control options
• Added an initial help message when you first view a card in the tester, to explain what all the buttons do
• Added an "Are You Sure?" confirmation before exiting the Deck Tester, to try to stop some of the accidental backing out that happens
• Dragging a card from bottom of your hand doesn't jar the screen upwards anymore
• The Extra Deck is now in sorted order

EASIER SHARING OPTIONS

• You can now share your deck as a URL link. This makes it MUCH easier to share your decks with your friends or the world. All they have to do is click your link and it will open Yugipedia on their phone and ask if they want to import the deck
• Card links work the same way as deck links. Quickly show a card to your friends by giving them a link that shows the card in Yugipedia

MEMORY IMPROVEMENTS

• Found and fixed some memory leaks
• Improved the overall memory footprint of the app. It is still a little resource-heavy by nature of all the card pictures that it needs, but it should be less likely to be killed by the OS now when you swap to other apps or leave it running in the background for a while
• Optimized the database loading and resource loading, which gives a small speed-up to startup time and reduces memory pressure at startup

GENERAL IMPROVEMENTS

• The system status bar (at the top of the screen) is no longer hidden, so you can see the time, battery status, etc.
• Updated a few icons to better show what action they represent
• Improved the user experience when changing search results pages. Now it starts you back at the top of the next page instead of keeping the scroll bar in the same position as it was before
• Updated all libraries, and the app is now built using the latest iOS 13.7 SDK
• Added success dialog for Fetch All Images
• Updated and changed some of the code libraries I'm using
• Improved font to be able to handle more unusual characters like the stars in Evil Twin and Live Twin cards

PRIVACY UPDATES

• Improved privacy flow for GDPR and CCPA users. I'm trying to bother you as little as possible while still meeting my privacy obligations under these laws

BUG FIXES

• Putting "/" in deck names made the deck disappear. This is related to how decks are stored in the file system. Slashes are no longer allowed in deck names
• Fixed a bug where monsters with 0 level/rank/pendulum weren't showing up in Monster searches
• Fixed a bug that could mess up the title bar when going to the next page of search results
• Fixed some mysterious crashes occurring in the layout engine
• Finally found and fixed main cause of the random crashes on iOS
• Several other minor tweaks and fixes

2.1.0
2018-08-04
This update has some deck tester fixes:

Fixed a bug where the app sometimes confused tapping vs dragging cards in the deck tester

You can now view any card or group of cards by long pressing them (touch and hold until the viewer pops up). You can also use this for things like searching your deck, just press and hold the deck until it shows up :)

Now you can tap Graveyard or Banished to view the cards

Improved the tutorial and cut down on the lengthiness of tutorial messages

I'm working on a completely rebuilt Yugipedia experience! It will overhaul the UI and make things much smoother and more stable. It will probably be a while before it's ready, but just know that it's coming!

I already have a bunch of new features that I plan to add once I rebuild it, so stay tuned for an even better Yugipedia!

This is just a hotfix to stop the crash that has been hitting the majority of my users in the past 24 hours. It is originating from Amazon Mobile Ads and it seems to be coming from their end of things, so I'm simply disabling Amazon as an ad source until they can stabilize their SDK.

Sorry for the inconvenience, and thanks for hanging in there until I could patch it.

Link monsters are here! You can now add Link monsters to your decks and can test on either the original or the new field layout.

Cyberse type was added as well as search options for Cyberse and Link monsters.

Assorted bug fixes and improvements. App should run much better now on the latest iOS because I'm using updated development tools.

Please leave a review if you enjoy the app. That helps me much more than you know.

ATTENTION USERS! The last version worked perfectly during testing, but then the deck import/export features and the remove ads feature were broken somehow by publishing to the App Store. I've fixed the deck sharing and the remove ads feature now so everything should now be in working order. Thanks to those of you who alerted me to these problems. Your feedback helps this app to be the best!

Thanks so much for using Yugipedia and making it so popular! This update has several much-needed improvements!

PLAYTEST IS FINALLY HERE!
Yugipedia finally has a solo Playtest feature that allows you to visually test your decks! It lets you draw cards and play them on a solo field using a simple drag-and-drop interface. This update took so long because I wanted to make something that I would like to use, not just another weak Test Draw feature. NOTE: This is not a dueling system. It’s just a solo field where you can draw and place your cards to simulate your side of a duel.
You can test a deck by clicking the Play icon when viewing one of your decks.

UI IMPROVEMENTS
Several UI improvements were also added in this update. Each screen tab now remembers which screen it is on even when you switch to another tab. No more losing your place in a search!
Also, every button and list item shows visual feedback when you touch it, helping you to see what you’re actually clicking on. Subtle but powerful.
I’ve had several questions about how to delete cards from a deck, and I realized that it wasn’t as obvious as I thought, so I replaced the confusing pencil icon with a giant X.
I’ve smoothed the font for the app, so all text now is smooth even when it has to scale up or down.

RESPONSIVENESS
I’ve decreased the amount of time the app tries to update the card list in situations when there’s no Internet access. Also, I fixed a bug where card lists could be very laggy and unresponsive if there was no Internet access. Still, the best app experience is when you have Internet access, so that’s what I recommend.

MORE DECK FEATURES
After many of you have requested it, I’ve finally added a way to rename your decks. It’s the pencil icon on the Decks screen. Also, if you want to make a copy of your deck, there’s an option for that when you go to rename it. This makes it easier to take your decks in a different direction while still keeping a copy of the original design.
I’ve also added more card sorting options for decks (suggested by a user, I do listen to you guys). More specifically, there is now an arrow next to the sort option list that controls the direction of the sort (ascending or descending).

Thanks for using Yugipedia, and be sure to tell your friends about it and leave a review if you care to. Check Yugipedia daily to get all the latest Yugioh cards several days or weeks before you can get them anywhere else!

Lots of improvements in this update! With even more to come...

Many of you have asked for more banlists than just TCG Advanced, so I've added them! In this update, you now can view the OCG banlist, ARG banlist, and TCG Traditional banlist, all from the existing Banlist screen. Also, in Settings you can now set the default banlist that will be used everywhere in the app.

I've also added some more buttons to the Banlist screen that allow you to scroll directly to Forbidden, Limited, or Semi-limited cards.

I changed the New Cards search to include all recently added cards from the past 30 days instead of just 7 days.

I also renovated the ad experience to try to show the most interesting and relevant ads possible.

FUTURE UPDATES
Since you guys have been so awesome in downloading and using my deck builder, I'm working on a solo Playtest feature. And I don't mean a lame list of cards where you have to use your imagination to remember which card is in each spot on the field. I mean I'm giving you a full-blown field to place your cards on so you can truly test out your deck and get a feel of how it will work in a duel. NOTE: This is not a dueling system. It's just a feature where you can playtest a deck by yourself. There is no actual dueling, just on your side of the field.

I've also got some other assorted plans for the app so keep making decks and tell all your friends! Please feel free to contact me about any bugs or missing cards so I can make this the best deck builder ever!

Ndaroad,
All good. A little slow on updates, but it has everything I’m looking for.
I like to build decks frequently just for the hell of it. I’ve tried other apps, but this one always felt the best to me. It especially is good because it uses the pictures for each card when going down a list, making it easier and faster to identify the cards. It’s always up to date in everything that comes out in America. Though one big problem is that there are cards coming out in Japan that are in other apps but not this one. Eventually it comes out, but it takes months to come out in comparison to other deck building apps. The formatting for this app though is fabulous. It keeps up on errattas, banlists, and if there’s an error, it fixes it almost immediately. The app is great, I can see the photos of cards. The only down side is certain cards don’t have an aligned photo, for example “The Legendary Exodia Incarnate” but I can still see the card, so it’s not a problem. Besides that this is the best deck building app I’ve had.
Destroyer of Blunts ;),
Amazing companion app
The app is amazing been using it for years, constantly updated with new cards including new ocg releases and ocg cards that aren't in the tcg. It's definitely better than the Neuron app, the only thing it's lacking from that app is a duel calculator (which there are plenty of options for already) and Rush Duel/ocg translations (so not to relevant for most tcg players). One of the only issues I've noticed is very very minor in that sometimes some ocg cards that have been brought to the tcg are a bit slow to update in app and remove the ocg only symbol, this is very minor and not too common tho.

For Devs : if you see this, I think it would be a great feature if you could add a speed duel database (rush duel database would be cool too but that would probably just be a wasye of resources currently) I've noticed that it's not super accessible or easy to find a database containing all cards released in speed duels and think this would be the perfect place for it.
Cythe,
Great App
Fantastic app with almost every card to my knowledge (I believe there've been two cards I searched and couldn't find. Could be contributed to the fact that some cards have been renamed.), great user friendly interface with simple drag and drop/click controls. I am a strategist and am always looking for outside the box tactics or interesting deck combinations. This app is almost the perfect tool for that and it's by far the best that I've found on iOS thus far. I highly recommend it for intermediate to serious tournament competitors. The only reason I'd hesitate when suggesting this app to a beginner is because you need to, for the most part, know what you're looking for. The only thing I could see to make this better is maybe have more popular preloaded decks for people to first hand play with or even set up the app to where it could be a two player experience in order to get accurate tests for experimental builds. Other than that A+ to the designers! Keep up the good work!
Wispydruid,
Old layout.
This app had some changes to it. Allot good and some annoying. I like the addition of tokens, counters, as well as draw spell effects. What I find annoying is that you can no longer switch card positions by tapping them, instead you have to press a button that allows you to switch card positions and then press the card to change positions. Overall it’s a nice deck building app but the deck testing is a bit annoying at times just because I’m so used to the older version of this app.
xX_EpicGaymor_Xx,
Works great but has a glaring issue
This app is what I’ve been using for about 1 and a half years. It has a perfect search function that can easily narrow down any card you’re looking for, multiple banlists in case you want to make a deck for goat or ocg, a fast updating cardpool with new cards as soon as they’re announced, and a test duel function with almost all you could ask for. All of this would have me leave a 5 star review, but my app keeps freezing over and over. When using this app my phone starts overheating and freezes in functionality from a minor 1 second to 15 at a time, sometimes ending in a crash. This app is awesome and I really don’t want to have to move to an alternative because of this!

Truly the Best
Not only is this app perfect for keeping your deck build organised, it updates frequently to keep up with new cards being added quickly after their release, and is also able to keep up with the constantly shifting banlist. Lets you search cards, keep track of multiple decks, has an up to date banlist, and even has a function that allows you to generate random hands to test the decks consistency, what more could you ask for?
CapCurETriaD,
An amazing app
I really love this app. It really can do it all. Is it possible to add a second search bar? I was looking for certain key words and thought it would be amazing if I could narrow down my search even further to find very specific cards. If this can be implemented, it would be phenomenal. Other than that, still a very useful app that I use every day. Thanks for the awesome app! Keep it up!

Getting kicked off the board
Whenever I click away from the dueling board for a couple of seconds it restarts the whole board and I have to place all the cards back on the field, it’s extremely annoying so could you maybe fix it to were the card stay on the board even if you click off the app for only a second.
ScarletThunder989,
One of a kind, but one complaint
So I love this app, I use it very often, and I love the single player mode, it is SO useful for testing decks without buying them. The one thing I would ask to be improved upon is to find a way to allow you to download all the full cards for decks, to allow it to be used offline. The reason why it would be useful is it makes it simpler to download a deck to use on single player, while offline.
Other than that, great app, and thank you ^-^

Is the best Yu-Gi-Oh app I have ever tried, but there’s a small problem with the way the Decks(both main and extra) response to when I tap on them. Whenever I tap on them, they sometimes appear face down on the screen so I had to fix it by dragging the card back into the deck(s) but it kept on giving me the same face down card on the screen, but aside from that it’s fine.
