Learning the sounds that the letters make is one of the first steps in learning to read. This app makes it easy and fun for the children to learn the sounds of the letters. Just tap on the letter or the object to hear the audio. A teacher or parent can go through the letters with the child to determine which letters the child still needs to practice.
Children can now apply and reinforce their skills via a simple and fun game! A Matching Game has been developed and is included in the app.
The spectacularly unique feature of this alphabet app is that it allows the owner to record over letter names, letter sounds and object names. The problem created by the fact that English is pronounced differently in different countries and regions is thereby solved. Your custom recordings will also automatically be used in the Matching Game too!
Custom recorded audio can now be transferred to other devices via email or iTunes file sharing!

Great App for phonics
I am a kindergarten teacher and I love using this app with my students. What I consider one of the best features of this app is that I was able to customize it. At our school we use the Phonics Plus program which is an offshoot of The Spalding method. I was able to record the various sounds for each of the letters. For example, we teach that the letter ""Aa" has three sounds; "a" as in apple, "a" as in angel, and "a" as in the middle of ball.
The developer was wonderful to work with too. After I recorded the sounds on one of our I pad's in school, I was dreading having to do it for all the sets we use. In about two weeks time, the developer had my problem solved. I can save the recordings! When I sync the other iPads, it synced my recording too. Also, because I like this app so much, I recommended it to a parent for her child to practice. I was able to go to the settings of the app and email the recording to the parent. Now my student can practice phonics at school and at home!
